#LiveHealthy is my NEW Healthy Living Blog!

This is probably going to be a super long post... sorry! But I thought I'd do a quick preview post on here all about my new little pet project over on my secondary blog #LiveHealthy with Emma!

------------------------------------------------------

So, I've finally decided to properly focus on my weight and fitness again. I've slacked off for a while, not to the point where I've eaten crap constantly, but I've not been able to go to the gym as much due to health issues and a shoulder injury (you'd see all the tape images on my Instagram if you follow me!) and I've slacked off on the calorie counting too...

But I'm back and as focused as ever to become a better more toned version of myself. I've received a little bit of backlash obviously due to being a model and I'm known for my current size/stature; but I'm a person 100% not a model, I'm a model when I'm on set or location, when I'm actually deciding to be a model. Its not that I'm not confident in myself, I am, but I don't feel like I'm at my best - and I'm the only person who can make myself feel happier, healthier and fitter!

So I'm starting to image record my meals! It will help me focus on what I'm eating and make myself more aware. Less junk, more home-made and more planning ahead. I'll probably stick to just doing the majority of these on my instagram so follow me there if you want to keep updated but I may do the odd meal day on here!

So here is the first day of meals of my diet from Monday - all Nutrition Statistics & Information via MyFitnessPal App.

Day 1
Calories - 218 Kcal
32g Porridge Oats with Water.
1 Kiwi Fruit
200ml Orange Juice
Calories - 535 Kcal
Tomato Ketchup, 30g
30g Pimento Stuffed Olives
2 Slices Ham
Homemade Fries
(380g Maris Piper Potatoes, 1 tsp Paprika, 1 tsp Salt, 1 tbsp Rapeseed Oil)
Pork Pasta Bake Calories - 549 Kcal
Penne Pasta
Mixed Peppers
Carrots
Salt
Pepper
Onions
Tinned Tomatoes
Cheddar Cheese
Semi Skimmed Milk
Plus a Banana for a snack - 105 Kcal

TOTAL CALORIES - 1,407 Kcal

On the left is a statistic pie chart that shoes my calorie distribution throughout the day.
I was quite happy being able to have nearly even calories for dinner and lunch, despite feeling a little hungry I know that this is just a mental barrier and the first 21 days are the hardest

On the right is another pie chart of how many Carbohydrates, Fat and Protein I had throughout the day. I pretty much nailed my targets if I'm honest for a day 1 of my diet which I was quite impressed with personally!

I didn't do technically much exercise this day due to still having a few health issues which means I can't work out properly, but I did do squats, crunches, star jumps etc as well as doing the cleaning and doing the washing and folding laundry so I was still active.

As you can see, I'm trying to make sure that I can still have things like fries and pasta, but they have to be had in moderation and not excessively as well as a healthier option!
Well thank you for reading this was just a preview post of what you can see over on #LiveHealthy With Emma - I'll be doing food diary's tips, support groups all over on my new little pet project!

Curvy Kate Princess Thong Review!

Warning! This post is definitely NOT suitable for work - pictures of my big bum!!

I also just want to say a huge huge HUGE thank you for getting my blog to over 50,000 views!!! I can't believe so many views have accumulated on my little blog!!

------------------------------------------------------------
So I've had these lovely thongs for about 3 months now! I never used to wear sexy underwear, let alone a thong! I got them originally for modelling, but I've loved them so much that I've actually ended up wearing them generally too!

I bought the thongs in 3 different colours; Black, White and Nude - due to modelling and for lots of different clothes I wear for modelling too, especially implied nude shoots!

Oh and sorry for pictures of my big bum... (and my dirty feet, I'd be doing a lot of running in and outside the house and didn't have shoes or slippers on!)

As you can see the detailing of the underwear is simple; it has small little polka pots on the front, and on the hem of the front it has simple crochet styled detailing. It also has a simple little bow detail for that extra added cuteness.

The back is made of a soft see through material, its stretchy and comfortable - definitely not like other materials of a similar consistency that can be quite itchy, these are super comfy! I did cut the labels out, but I took this images ages ago before I cut them out (sorry, I just like to be prepared!)

What I love about the nude pair is that they actually suit my skin tone and look nude - whenever I buy nude products they are normally way too tanned for my skin, even if I go for the palest shade! Happy little bum bunny here!

Overall, I really love these, they are convenient, perfect for modelling but the most important thing being these are comfy! I never used to wear thongs due to confidence and me having it in my head when I was younger "you can't be sexy if you're fat" - these, despite only being underwear definitely proved to me that you can be sexy!
They also don't give me that "wedgie" feeling I so expected either; I was half expecting to have to keep re-adjusting them due to riding up, but they absolutely didn't! I bought all three thongs in a size 20 and the sizing is true to size which is such a relief!

Thank you Curvy Kate!!

I bought mine from Simply Be for £15 each.

Female Health Advice; Cystitis

I thought I would start going a little more personal on the blog, the reason being is that, if my mother never told me about cystitis I may have gone online and scared myself silly about "what was wrong with me" - so I thought I'd start doing a little Female Health Advice (FHA) section on my blog as it can be handy, and I don't see many bloggers (those who have a big following anyway) do many 'personal' 'health' posts!

WARNING - This post will include in detail explanations, about the boobs, 'lady garden' and all sorts of intimate stuff. If you are squeamish or don't feel comfortable reading anything like this please do not read ANY further!

Please Note - I am most definitely NOT a Doctor or qualified in female health specifically; these are what has helped me in my own experiences of these issues. If you are worried about anything with your body please consult a medical professional.
--------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to start with two definitions of what a urine infection is and the definition of Cystitis.
(Definitions from the NHS Choices Website)

Urinary Tract Infection -
A UTI develops when part of the urinary tract becomes infected, usually by bacteria. Bacteria can enter the urinary tract through the urethra or, more rarely, through the bloodstream.

Cystitis - The most common cause of cystitis is a bacterial infection. If bacteria reach the bladder, they can multiply and irritate the bladder lining, leading to the symptoms of cystitis. Cystitis can also occur from damage or irritation around the uretha.

The past two weeks haven't been great for me in the female health department. On the 25th April, I had a horrific burning sensation as I passed urine - and I mean horrific. I actually started to cry, I only passed a little as well which was a huge concern. It didn't really help I was mid way through a photoshoot either and I did the very stereotypical thing of "I can't ruin my make-up!". So, I got a nice big glass of water, it didn't help the pain but it would help later on if I needed to pee.

So I got home (after a gruelling hour journey on the bus) and ran to my mum in tears saying how much in pain I was and told me what to do, I also looked up on what to do for pressure/pain when passing urine...

What You Can Do
  • Drink as much plain water as possible! No fizzy drinks, no juice, nothing acidic.

But definitely drink some cranberry juice! I upped my water intake to about 3/4 Litres at this time or until it helped ease a little of the pressure and should help clear out your bladder a little.
  • Take off your underwear! Be free!
Okay, I'm serious though. Taking off your underwear, and putting on a maxi skirt or dress will help get the air to your intimate area, you may think it has nothing to do with the pressure inside you but it can be in relation to sweating due to confinement and if there is bacteria, letting the air get to you will most definitely help.
  • Painkillers (Optional)
If the pain is really super unbearable for you, take some paracetamol or ibuprofen. Even if it only helps a little, if it makes you feel a little more comfortable then take some. Only you know your body, so its your decision.
  • AVOID SEX!
If you are in pain in this area, please please please just avoid sex! It may cause further irritation and damage and you will definitely regret the pleasure later on, save it for when you are better and don't let it get worse down there!
  • Over the Counter Relief (Optional)
I found in my local Lloyds Pharmacy you can get hold of these Cystitis relief sachets, its a 2 day course. One sachet, 3 times a day in 200ml of water. This can also help with the making your urine less acidic and can help relief some of the pain but do not just rely on these. Visit your doctor if symptoms haven't cleared after you've finished this short course.
If you have mild cystits/urinary tract infection then your symptoms should clear up after a few days if you keep drinking plenty of fluids.

What to do if the symptoms don't go away or get worse
In my case, after trying this for 5 days, my symptoms got worse. I got to the point that I was scared to go to the toilet due to the amount of pain I would be in. I ended up biting into my sleeve of my top or a clean towel just to try and stem the pain/frustration into something while I pee'd.

If like me, it gets worse still after 3-4 days, please go to the Doctor's. If you can't get an appointment at the doctors, at least maybe go to a pharmacy and ask to have a short private consultation. A lot of pharmacies now days have little rooms for private matters and they may be able to help you until you can get to the doctor's.

Now ladies, if you don't feel comfortable just ask to see a female doctor. I, myself didn't really care as I was at the point of pain I just wanted to see a Doctor ASAP and didn't really care if they were male or female. My doctor was male, however this didn't fuss me. He asked me several questions in relation to the pressure and pain when peeing.

PRO TIP! If you are going to the Doctor's for this sort of issue, its almost certain they will ask for a urine sample. Make sure you drink a pint of water before you leave just so you have something to pass when needed!

My doctor asked if I was comfortable with him examining me or if I wanted a nurse to. I wasn't fussed, so he checked and confirmed it was cystitis. (Not all Doctor's will examine you, mine chose to due to previous medical history).

Please be prepared for some pretty evasive questions asked by the Doctor, don't get embarrassed! Just remember there is a reason why the Doctor is asking these questions, they want to get a good idea about your condition. Below are some questions I was asked (of what I can remember!)...
  • Your Fluid Intake
  • Your recent sexual activity/are you sexually active
  • Is there any chance you are pregnant
  • What symptoms you're experiencing
  • How long and to what extent are your symptoms
  • How often do you go to the toilet
  • What sort of pain are your experiencing and where about's does it effect you most
Although be prepared for anything! It can vary with each doctor and person and if it may be in relation to other medications or not.

What Happens Next
Your Doctor will ask for a urine sample, mine took a dip sample and confirmed I had cystitis. I was originally on a 7 day course of 200mg Trimethoprim (Antibiotics). However this medication didn't work for me, I was extremely nauseous the first two days but the medication didn't actually get rid of the pain/pressure I was experiencing. I finished my course (out of hope) but if by the fifth day of your course you feel there is no change, or your side effects are bad please ring your doctor or book another appointment.
I went back on the last day of my course to ask what to do next, I was asked to re-do another urine sample to be sent off to a lab for testing just to make sure nothing else, like a Sexually Transmitted Infection. My results came back clear that it was just cystitis.
I was then put on 50mg Nitofurantoin, one tablet, 4 times a day. Throughout this course, I was very sick and unwell. I rang my doctor and he said I should be fine, finish the course and at a later point I will have an allergy test to make sure I'm not allergic to anything in the medication although he told me it wasn't severe so I should persevere until the end.
Each doctor will prescribe something different for each individual based on their own health, and if there is any other medical problems. But these were just the two lots of antibiotics I was prescribed.

Overall
If you have any problems with your intimate area then please seek medical advice. Never ever suffer in silence! You could just be making things worse if you leave things too long.

If you have an issue you would like me to discuss, then please feel free to email me. Even if you wish to be anonymous, I won't disclose any information to anyone other then myself. Email me on anchorsawaybeauty@hotmail.com

Have you ever wondered - What if an average woman got photoshopped in order to look like a cover model?

In today's world, beauty is not always what meets the eye. These twelve women got themselves airbrushed and enhanced just like the models on various fashion magazines, to highlight the REAL reality and our skewed perception of beauty.

There's NO NEED to put so much pressure on ourselves to look like cover models on fashion magazine - THIS was our goal, which pushed us to explore the world of extreme photo retouching and excessive makeup use.

We are definitely not condemning the desire to look good, but everyone should know what's behind "perfection", if not for ourselves, for our future generation!

Why I WANT To Be Insulted....

You are probably thinking I'm completely utterly mad... Thus I probably am. But I've now come to a point in my life , that I know how to handle insults from people. I've heard everything from "should go to Weight Watchers" to being called a "whale"... But now I'm actually wanting people to insult me; I love all my followers dearly, and can't thank every one of you for the best support ever!

The reason I want people to insult me, is so they can get it off their chest. I know I'm not everyone's cup of tea, I know not everyone likes bigger people, so I'm giving people the chance to insult me and be totally inventive about it - I don't want the same old insults, I want some mean old insults to be thrown at me! And it won't phase me one little bit...

So for part of my little experiment I went on a site called 'Meet Me' (they have nothing to do with my actual project, it's just a site which I use and they are nothing to actually do with my project) - I've had an account on there for a while (when it used to be called My Yearbook) - and I have the chance to reach a wider audience quicker there... So here are a few screen grabs!

I put a status up (image above) asking people to insult me and here's what we came back with... None of these people knew who I was. Some people dished out some insults, others thought I was just messing around. (The pink bits are my comments!)

It then all stemmed off into another argument on something not really to do with my status... But what I got from the status is that if you give people the chance to insult someone, they tend to back off. Which is odd really? You're inviting them to be horrible, why turn that chance down?! Well in my opinion, it seems as if  people just churn out the same old insults purely because they can't think of anything creative enough themselves.  I did have a few comments in my private messages on the site, (As seen below) but they majority were insults from people that just came up with them without meaning them and I purely only wanted them from those who mean't them (but thank you to them people anyway!).

So you are probably thinking why I did this little experiment. I'm not condoning people to say hurtful comments to others I purely did it so people could let there hatred out on me, someone who can handle the insults then to say them to people with low self esteem and mental health where they could really do without the insults and hurtful comments.

I want people to stop judging others on their physical appearance, their life choices and their hobbies - I would love the world to be a happier place where no one insults other's but in reality it would never happen, but even if one person saw this and thought maybe they could be a little nicer or to help them be a little stronger when people say hurtful things to them, then I'm happy that I did this experiment.

Have a laugh, have a giggle, but just remember if you laugh at someone... that could be you they are laughing at one day, and imagine how you would feel.

Nine X Lingerie - Babydoll Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing this gorgeous babydoll by Nine X Lingerie! Once they got in contact with me to review a piece of theirs I just had to accept - I've had a few pieces from Nine X before from when I've bought some lingerie for modelling!

They sent me the gorgeous Mira Satin and Mesh Babydoll - I chose to have it in the colour Turquoise because it looked absolutely stunning!

I got the babydoll in a size 22, just because I like to have a little extra room in my lingerie to compensate for my girls! When wearing the babydoll you can see that I opt to wear without straps sometimes, for me it holds up quite well without the the straps. For me personally, with the straps it pulled the piece quite high up, which is good for those who may have issues with showing too much cleavage!

The overall aesthetic and feel to the piece is wonderful and absolutely beautiful - the piece has 2 mesh panels at the side which are clear which is absolutely love! It just separates the piece up a bit and gives it a little sexier twist!

On the front of the piece you have a scalloped lace detail on the hem of the top and bottom of the babydoll and on the back you have the same piece of scalloped lace on the top but on the bottom you just have the satin material run straight down. Back to looking at the front of the babydoll, the straps are of a stretchy material, they are very comfortable as well! There is a little black bow on the front of the babydoll in the centre of the lower bust line.

Overall I really love this piece, it has enough sexiness to not be too over bearing for those who may want to be a little subtle but enough cheekiness with the mesh on the side to still be sexy; its really comfortable and is so comfy to sleep in as well! I would get a male's opinion but I have no male to give me one... But I'm sure it will definitely be a hit with your significant other too! I'd super recommend this product and Nine X is such a fantastic company - especially due to the fact I've not been able to blog and being understanding that I couldn't do the review right away.

This product is available in sizes 8 - 24 and is available in Black, Purple, Red, Turquoise and White.

Turquoise Mira Chemise Babydoll - £16.99

Lots of Love
