Frequently Asked Questions Video!

Hey guys! Just a quick video I've posted up before we start blogmas tomorrow (I'm so blooming excited!). These are some of the questions that I've been asked a lot lately and thought I'd do a video to just get it all off my chest! I've also started filming my Christmas room tour video and I'm enjoying doing it so much!

PediSpin Review!

Today I thought I would do a quick review of a product I bought recently! I've seen so many negative reviews on this product and thought I'd try it out for myself!

I bought the PediSpin from my local Robert Dyas for £14.99, a product that is not too inexpensive and doesn't break the bank. I've been looking at this product for a while now since seeing it in a TV advert - I had looked online at reviews and the majority where negative but I still decided to buy the product... AND I'm so glad I did!

First of all, my feet are probably the definition of atrocious - and when you are taking your heels off mid-gig and on the stage and people see your feet, you really don't want them to see how awful your feet are with dead skin and all that! This product seemed like the kind of product for me.

One negative downfall I did find was that you know one the advert (you can watch it here to see what I mean!!) it shows that it takes dry skin off without soaking - however, I tried it before and it did work, but it didn't really make its full effect with the buffing pad (the grey one with holes!) I had a shower, dried my feet and then used it and it worked amazingly! You can see on the right, that there are 2 speed settings, low is for rough dry skin and high is for rough dry calluses - personally I chose to use the High speed for the my dry skin and calluses and it works perfectly!

I'd say this product is probably very hit and miss - for me it works perfectly alongside my normal footcare routine, however if you have really bad feet then maybe not so much. But for an inexpensive product I'd say its pretty darn good!

OOTW: All About Winter Onesies!

Today I thought I'd do my OOTW including my new Polar Bear onesie (featured in my most recent haul video on YouTube! You can watch it here!). I super love this onesie - its fluffy and soooo cosy!
Fluffy Polar Bear Cream Onesie, Next - £38
Super quick and short post today, but I am in so much pain after going to the nasty physio who I can't stand. I'm probably just going to have a nap this afternoon with a hot water bottle to try and ease my back a bit!

OOTW: Fairly Fairisle

Last week Wednesday I had my first physio session (which I absolutely hated) and after I decided to just do a little bit of shopping and I just saw this super cute outfit with my mum and I just had to have it! (Cheeky little Christmas tree in the back as well!!)

Reindeer Fairisle Jumper dress, Peacocks - £16

Earmuffs, New Look - £4.99

Black Leggings, Peacocks - £7

Victorian Fur cuffed boots, Clarks - £54.99

For my make-up I just did a simple neutral eye shadow effect with a light brown going in the crease if my eye for effect. I kept it simple with just adding mascara using my new Scandaleyes mascara by Rimmel. I used the lipgloss from my Victoria Jackson 24/7 portfolio palette just for an extra shimmer.

I am finally getting my hair chopped again so I can get my fringe sorted out! Another haul will be coming up soon, which I may put on YouTube so watch out for that too!

Make sure you check out my Christmas Giveaway!

Wearing a Corset/Waist Training

I've never done a post about me wearing a corset before, and I was asked by Amna (from ASQGenerates) to do a post about it!

I just want to clarify before saying anything more - I DO find wearing a corset comfortable if being fitted correctly and not overly tight. Also, I AM NOT a professional in waist training - I'm only talking about my experience and how it works for me personally - in no way do I claim to be a professional or know everything about this. Many people would probably say wearing a corset is bad but its a personal preference to wear one and I choose to (just in case anyone feels the need to go off on one at me!).
I was doing waist training around 2 years ago now, and I finally got a really nice waist - but after not purchasing a new corset after the boning came out of my old one I completely let my training slip for around 8 months - now I'm back at stage 1. Waist training is much like doing a sport - if you don't do it for a while you become slightly less fit and need to practice more to get back to where you were again. There are several different styles of 'corset' that you can use - I personally prefer the white brocade underbust corset from Corsets UK. However, you can chose between a full corset with the bust or an underbust/waist cincher.

I wear a corset nearly everyday, even if its just for about an hour or two - to start with waist training, you have to be prepared to wear this everyday and get used to doing things in your corset - obviously you will be a lot of restricted in your movements, however, it can correct your posture. When starting, make sure you don't tie yourself in too tightly to the point where its too painful - you don't want the corset too loose either as this means you are probably getting no benefit from wearing it what so ever.
For people who are just starting out I wouldn't try to make a huge reduction in your waist straight away maybe start with 2" - waist training is a slow laborious task but there are no short or quick ways around it (unless you want surgery but I don't really believe in that).

Another handy tip for when you first get your brand new corset - make sure you give it time to adjust to your body - they are not like loose clothing that is comfortable straight away - if you start by only pulling it in a little (maybe around an inch) then it gives the corset time to adjust to your body and to warm the fibres in the fabric up (it may be a myth however if you let the fibres warm up then it should make it easier for the corset to adjust into the tighter position on your body).

My daily routine is obviously a bit hectic so I tend to put my corset on in the evening if I'm out for the majority of the day - I normally have mine on for 3 hours in the evening, and if I have a short day at college then I will wear my corset for every day use. It generally depends on how comfortable you feel wearing the corset and for how long you want to wear it for.

As I said above - even when you have reached the waist you desire, you can't just stop wearing the corset as your waist will just fall back to how it was before (naughty Emma!).

Moving onto how I personally feel with my corset - I enjoy wearing a corset, it makes me feel more confident in myself and its not uncomfortable for me to wear at all. I know quite a few people opt to wear their corset on the outside, like over a top etc, but I prefer wearing mine underneath a dress or slip underneath my clothing just so it's a more polished look and I always manage to get everything dirty.

For cleaning, I normally hand wash mine with warm/tepid water and some soap and just scrub ever so lightly to get the stains out.

If you have anymore questions about me wearing a corset or if you are interested in corset make sure you leave a comment below or drop me a email on anchorsawaybeauty@hotmail.com or on my Facebook page.

Soap&Glory Foam Call Review!

I thought I'd do a little review today as it feels like forever since I reviewed a product! I've nearly run out of this body wash and I must say I have been rather impressed with it overall!
I bought this bottle around 3 months ago from Boots for £6.50 - me being me I didn't think that this product would really last that long as I used LOADS of body wash! However for once I really did get my money's worth of a product! This body wash has a really fresh flowery smell which is just beautiful and I just can't wait to have a shower sometimes just so I can use this beauty! Another strong point I love about this product has to be that it has a pump top - when I'm in the shower and I squeeze bottle I tend to find they slip out my hand and I can never get a good grip on them!

The product itself is a white creamy shop and only needs
little water to become really foamy - You don't need to use too much of this product either as you do get quite a lot for your money! I normally have a thing against Soap and Glory sometimes due to the price - I love all their products a lot don't get me wrong but I'm normally dubious of the price but for once I was really pleasantly surprised how long this product actually lasted! I normally use this with a puffy wash ball because it feels super nice and feels like it exfoliates my skin and makes it feel so super soft!

So what are your favourite Body wash products to bathe with and what if any are your favorite Soap & Glory products?!

Blogmas is growing ever nearer!

OOTW: No Effort Required

I know, I know, its been what 2 weeks or so since I've done an OOTW - but I have felt so low these past 2 weeks, and I just did not feel in the mood to do anything including blogging. But now I am finally back on track, I am doing OOTW's again and scheduling posts for when I can't get to post due to the amount of work I have! Anyway - what does the title mean? Well, this week has been a lazy kind of "can't be bothered" week, so I just went for a simple neutral coloured look...

Oversized Stone Cardigan, New Look - £12.99

White Vest, Next - £4

Fluffy Socks - £2

Mini Winter Haul!

So, on the 28th October I went to my local town to run some errands and get some essentials for winter!

Lets start with the make-up... I popped into boots to get some Christmas Pressies and I saw this most amazing deal for a product I really needed! The offer was "Spend £10 on any Rimmel Products and get a mascara for free" - AND I NEEDED A NEW MASCARA! So to qualify for the fantastic deal I bought a nail varnish in the colour 'Black Cherries', Kate Moss Rimmel lipstick in shade 107 and 2 red lip liners in 'Red Dynaminte' and 'Black Tulip'. I really needed a lipstick for winter and thought that this
plum/berry coloured lipstick would be absolutely perfect! I've seen a few other people pick this lipstick up too, and I must admit, it is a super gorgeous colour and has amazing stay on your lips!

Moving onto the nail varnishes, after going to Boots I also popped to Lloyds to pick up my prescription and I saw they had a sale on winter nail polishes from Mavala (I SUPER LOVE Mavala nail polishes!) and I fell in love with the 'Warm Grey' colour, its a mix of grey and beige together! I don't normally pick these colours but I just had to! (I'm gonna do a little nail tutorial with the Warm Grey too when I've bought a new white nail pen!). I then qualified for my new mascara, its super good and it does make my lashes look really full too (yay to no more small eyes!).

Another winter essential that I haven't had for nearly 3 years is a pair of decent working gloves! I used to have fingerless gloves and mittens all in one, but the wool started to come apart so they turned into fingerless gloves, then the wool came away again and I had no gloves. Last year I just kept my hands in my pockets HOWEVER I finally decided I'd invest in some cute, cosy and decent gloves... AND ALONG CAME THESE!!!!

I popped into Peacocks in my local town just browsing, no intention to actually buy any gloves from there and on the end of the rack with some very beautiful snood's may I add, and I saw these adorable Fairisle cream gloves WHICH WORK WITH TOUCH PAD PHONES. These were only £3.50 - bargain! They are comfy, not itchy like some gloves with wool and they are stretchy to fit your hand too!

Well that's all from me! I know posts are a little out of schedule at the moment, but I have to do everything on a day by day basis due to my back pain and the tolerance of it. I also have some camera update news - I finally got a quote about fixing my lens and they said it will cost £45 and maybe additional parts on top, and I looked up the price for a new one and I found someone who will sell one to me for £42.99. So in around 3 weeks I will hopefully be back on track with my camera quality and off the dodgy iPhone camera pictures!

67. My most embarrassing moment has to be when mum and me were shopping in Lidl and we got told we cant pay by credit card - neither of us had our debit cards on us (in our defence on their website it says all stores take Mastercard and Visa credit cards so it isn't really our fault as we did check).
68. I get really nervous when posting a YouTube video - I don't really know why.
69. I haven't done a driving lesson since the last week of June.
70. I have already bought all my Christmas presents for 2013 and already starting to wrap them!
