OOTW: Pencil Skirt & Polka Dots!

I know its going to be another photoshoot outfit - but the outfits I wear in photoshoots are the ones I normally wear as well, and these are nice pictures of me in the clothes! These 2 items I just thought looked super cute together! I know most people wouldn't put two patterned items like this together, but I thought it looked cute!

Next 'Black Shiny Leggings' Review

Today I thought I would do a review on my absolute favourite pair of leggings! I bought these from next about 8 months ago, and these still feel like brand new - it goes from a size 8-10 up to 18-20 (bearing in mind they are super stretchy!)

I've taken a picture of the front view and back view. The material of these are fantastic, they are super stretchy and very thick - so easy to dress them up or dress them down! They are super inexpensive at £16 too!

When I first bought these I was a bit unsure on the material thinking that it would show all my lumps and bumps really badly, but if anything it pulls me in a little! I bought these in a size 14-16 by mistake but in fact they are too big for me! The only con I have with these are that the length of them are really long - I'm quite short at 5 foot 5 anyway, but I often just cuff the bottoms up and this problem is resolved. These are high waisted too, so they act as shape wear. I find these make my butt look absolutely fantastic too! These have also stayed true to the fact they are black - I find with leggings that after a couple of washes the black fades to brown, but these haven't and are still black!

These are super comfy and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking for a decent pair of leggings!

OOTW: Collectif Fairy Dress!

Today I thought I would show you a dress I got back in December, which I also wore for a photoshoot - I actually wore this on Christmas day as well, after Alice jumped up and managed to make my other dress muddy within 5 minutes of me putting it on! I don't know if they still sell this dress, or if they will be restocking it or not, but I super love this dress to maybe even wear on a date (yes I am finally starting to go out on dates again!) as its smart but not too formal so it can pass for casual too! It has a stretchy back and adjustable straps which is PERFECT!

Red Fairy Dress, Collectif - £55

Ivory Pearls, Collectif - £15

T-Bar Heels, eBay - £!5

Pink Gold Stud Bow, Charity - £1 (2 in a pack)

You can also pair this with a fur coat or shrug for winter and maybe a black cardigan/bolero for summer!

Hair and Make-up
My friend Marie did my hair for this, as I'm still a rookie at doing victory rolls myself, as I had a small fear inside myself for doing them, but now facing it! I've also done a post on doing victory rolls and how you can do them yourself with a easy to follow step by step! My make-up is pretty simple, I have used my white Rimmel Eyeshadow in "Glam Ice" across my whole eye lid, particularly in the corner without blending, I then added a sparkly strong pigmented pink from about half way in on my eyelid to the outer and blended the white into the pink (blending outwards) but not too much so it's still visible on the eye. Then add a medium thickness eyeliner and do your red lips (I'm also doing a perfect red lips tutorial so look out for that too!)

How To Tie A Rockabilly Hair Bandanna!

I have 2 methods on how I tie my Rockabilly headscarf's in my hair, obviously each person is different and I use my two depending on the outfit and what I'm doing/the weather!

Simple Wrap Around

1. First of all you just want your bandanna in a diamond shape and then fold this in half. You might want to iron it first, unlike mine, because I wear mine so often I never have the time to keep ironing it!

2. (Image on the right) Next you want to fold down the top tip of the bandanna, how much you fold it down by will determine how thick your bandanna will come out. I like to fold mine by about 5-6cm just so its just right for me. Now you just want to keep folding right down until you get one long strip (the 3rd image on the right).

3. I normally have my hair tied up in a ponytail or a bun with this style, and my fringe is in either betty bangs or its quiffed up (like in my Rockabilly Zombie post). Now you want to take the two ends and tie them onto your head into a knot. I prefer to tie mine at the front, but others may prefer the side of possibly tucked under the ponytail for a neater look. And then you are done!

4. OPTIONAL - If you want to secure you bandanna a little more then you can add bobby pins to secure it to your hair, this is especially helpful when its really windy out and you don't want to lose your scarf and mess your hair up!

Rosie the Riveter Style
I currently do not have a red polka dot scarf, but I still use my red paisley one as it works just the same. This is perfect for when you set your hair and you need to go out quickly, you can just put this on to hide your curls and no one will know!

1. The first step is quite similar to the other method, but instead of having the two tips meeting, you have the inner one shorter then the outside one, this is so you can bring the longer piece through when you are tying it up. I normally take mine from about 1/4 of an inch to about 3/4 inch, depending on if my hair is in rollers or just flat against my head.

2. The next step is putting it onto your head, you want the straight edge against the bottom of your head/neck. You then want to tie the two side parts like in the top one and bring the excess part of the scarf on top underneath where you have tied your two bits together. (Look at image to kind of understand what I mean, it sounds a lot harder then it really is!)
3. Now you need to bring that extra strip dangling down back up, and then again tie your two strips above the part you pulled back again. This will secure it in place and will make it look a bit more flush. And you are done - again if you want to secure it in place then you can use bobby pins, but this is up to you!

OOTW: Trip to London

Last Thursday I went to London with my best friend (and she's a photographer!). We've been friends for just over 6 years now, and we love to meet up and just wonder round London and end up in Soho and have a bubble tea (if you haven't had one, you haven't lived! They are amazing!). First of all, we went to Winter Wonderland which was amazing, and I got a Dalmation plush toy (his name is Toby) and then we just went for a walk. We went to Covent Garden and we visited my most favourite shop in the whole entire world... Collectif!!!! We had a lovely chat with the girl in there (and she was lovely!) and I also bought a new polka dot scarf!

Winter Detachable Faux Fur Collar Coat (2012 Season), New Look - £70
Pale Pink Handbag, New Look - £19.99
Fur Collared Pixie Boots, Clarks - £60

Betty the Sewing Machine! (Quick Post!)

Today's post is just a quick bonus post, I thought I'd just give you all a little update on my sewing machine, this is my 'Completed List' so far!

1. I've named my Sewing Machine - Betty-Sue, but Betty for Short!
2. I've already fixed a pair of knickers and 2 cushions using several different stitches (and backstitching!)
3. I finally learnt after about an hour of getting confused that the bobbin thread doesn't go through the needle, but the needle picks the thread up and loops (rookie mistake...)
4. I've learn't that I'm impossible at trying to get the thread through the needle.
5. I've got an itch to keep using Betty, even if it's just to practice.
6. I think I might already be becoming obsessed with Betty...

I got Betty for Christmas and I've finally had the chance to start using her now after setting her all up! If in the future once I've had some practice, for some tutorials, then it'd be good to know if you would like them!

Yummy Bee Babydoll Review

I thought I would start reviewing some of the lingerie that I own, I know quite a few people who are plus size, do struggle with confidence issues, and what better way to help you find lingerie and also help me carry on building confidence then to start doing these reviews!

I have these 2 Yummy Bee babydolls, both the same style in Black and White. These are the Sequin Embroidered Babydolls. These are available in a range of colours and from sizes 8-26. This is a 2 piece set (1 Babydoll + 1 thong) per set. These are really comfy for even lounging about the house in. I only have one snag about these, and that's the material on the bust can be a little bit irritating on the puppies, so I opt to wear a bra with mine, however if you just want to sew on some simple padding you can as this wouldn't effect the whole look of the babydoll! They  also have  ribbon just below the bust which is just a really sweet aesthetic touch. The bottom of the babydoll is also hemmed with a silk ribbon, again another simple touch. The materical is super soft as well and isn't at all that irritating, they are also super comfy to sleep in!

My absolutely favourite part is that these have adjustable straps - I super love items that have this, it means that I can adjust it to make it comfortable for me!

I bought these in a size 16-18 and these were £!5.99 - Buy here

New Years Resolution

As I said yesterday, this year I really want to make my life just a little more cherpy and cheerful. 2013 was just as horrendous as 2012, 2011 and 2010. I've finally decided I don't want my private life making my life feel so sad and emotional. I really want to be that person who is always happy and doesn't let any little thing get them down, not the person who has a smile on their face so everyone thinks they are okay.

Overall in my private life, relationships and such - 2012 and 2013 really were awful. I'm pretty much done with relationships and love for a while yet. I'm going to focus on the things that make me happy in life. My blogging, my fashion and now making lots of new things with my Sewing machine. Getting a sewing machine for Christmas really has made me decide I want to start making my own clothes - its a new lease of life. It could even turn into a business one day (wouldn't that be fantastic!).

I never usually have a motto but this year that's going to change alongside other things but here is my new motto...

"Happy clothes, makes a happy me - who can be sad when wearing happy beautiful clothes!"

I will stick to this! Sure, I will have a few moments, but now I won't have as many - I want to feel fantastic in myself, without people's criticism hurting me. I'm going to focus on blogging and modelling and being my typical ditsy self - but most of all I'm going to focus on being happy!
I've also adjusted my blogging schedule to try and fit round my new lifestyle routine with going down the gym and that. Two posts will go up each week

Wednesday will remain as OOTW'S
Saturday's will be a post about any topic!

So what's your new years resolution? Do you believe in them? Write in the comments below to tell me!

OOTW: New Year, New Me

First OOTW and post of 2014! Scary how quick 2014 has come around... its a little daunting to be quite honest with you. I thought I'd show you a dress I got in the end of summer sale at Rockabilly Pinup, it's another beautiful Hell Bunny dress and I absolutely love it! The meaning behind the title is that, yes ironic as it seems, I'm changing a little, to make myself happier; nobody else but myself. I've felt this past year my emotions and private life have really taken over and ruined the rest of my life, by making me sad and upset. Check out tomorrow's 'New Year Resolution' post for my new motto!

Hell Bunny Bobbi Lee Dress, Rockabilly Pinup - £38.99 (last in stock sale normally £44.99) (Can also buy here)

White Cardigan, Next - £8 (End of Summer Sale)

Cream Waist Belt, New Look - £5

Shiny Jewelled Heels, New Look - £5 (sale)

Pink Butterfly Clip, Beauxoxo - £6

For my hair I decided to do victory rolls - yes! I am really trying my absolute hardest at trying to face my fear of doing these. I'm never any good with fiddly hair styles but I'm slowly getting the hang of it! My makeup is pretty simple as always, black eyeliner with red and gold eyeshadow blended together along with my winter red lipstick from Rimmel in shade 107.

Happy New Year!

Lots of Love
