Why I WANT To Be Insulted....

You are probably thinking I'm completely utterly mad... Thus I probably am. But I've now come to a point in my life , that I know how to handle insults from people. I've heard everything from "should go to Weight Watchers" to being called a "whale"... But now I'm actually wanting people to insult me; I love all my followers dearly, and can't thank every one of you for the best support ever!

The reason I want people to insult me, is so they can get it off their chest. I know I'm not everyone's cup of tea, I know not everyone likes bigger people, so I'm giving people the chance to insult me and be totally inventive about it - I don't want the same old insults, I want some mean old insults to be thrown at me! And it won't phase me one little bit...

So for part of my little experiment I went on a site called 'Meet Me' (they have nothing to do with my actual project, it's just a site which I use and they are nothing to actually do with my project) - I've had an account on there for a while (when it used to be called My Yearbook) - and I have the chance to reach a wider audience quicker there... So here are a few screen grabs!

I put a status up (image above) asking people to insult me and here's what we came back with... None of these people knew who I was. Some people dished out some insults, others thought I was just messing around. (The pink bits are my comments!)

It then all stemmed off into another argument on something not really to do with my status... But what I got from the status is that if you give people the chance to insult someone, they tend to back off. Which is odd really? You're inviting them to be horrible, why turn that chance down?! Well in my opinion, it seems as if  people just churn out the same old insults purely because they can't think of anything creative enough themselves.  I did have a few comments in my private messages on the site, (As seen below) but they majority were insults from people that just came up with them without meaning them and I purely only wanted them from those who mean't them (but thank you to them people anyway!).

So you are probably thinking why I did this little experiment. I'm not condoning people to say hurtful comments to others I purely did it so people could let there hatred out on me, someone who can handle the insults then to say them to people with low self esteem and mental health where they could really do without the insults and hurtful comments.

I want people to stop judging others on their physical appearance, their life choices and their hobbies - I would love the world to be a happier place where no one insults other's but in reality it would never happen, but even if one person saw this and thought maybe they could be a little nicer or to help them be a little stronger when people say hurtful things to them, then I'm happy that I did this experiment.

Have a laugh, have a giggle, but just remember if you laugh at someone... that could be you they are laughing at one day, and imagine how you would feel.

Valentines OOTW; Perfect Pin-Up

It's been a while since I've done an OOTW on my blog, but sadly I've been very ill for the past 7 weeks which means I just haven't had the energy to do any OOTW's after being ill and also working my day job & also modelling at the weekends.

But today I'm showing you my 'perfect Pin-Up' Valentines Look! This is a gorgeous little summer dress from Collectif that I got last summer, but haven't had much of a chance to wear it or shoot with it yet. So as soon as I was shooting my Valentines Photoshoot on Saturday (Images will be over on my facebook page over the next few days and weeks!) I had to wear this gorgeous number.

Photo & Post-Processing - John Bellingham
Model, MUA & Hair Stylist - Emma Victoria
Baby Pink 20 inch Petticoat, Hell Bunny - £25.00
Black 6.5 inch Heels, Charity - £5
Baby Pink Chiffon Square (Headscarf), eBay - £4.00
1940's White Size 5 Gloves with Lace edge Detailing, Vintage Shop - £10

I totally love this gorgeous look, its adorably cute and sweet and just oozes with the love that Valentine's Day is filled with. I simply adore the Pink Hibiscus Flowers, it adds the summer feeling I've been missing for so long and its the perfect dress to stand out with on Valentines Day if you have a special someone.

If you want a darker Valentines Look then why don't you look at my OOTW from Last Year

Make-Up
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - Ivory
Natural Collection Face Powder - Neutral
Victoria Jackson Sunset Eyeshadow Palette (Gold & Pale Pink)
Bourjois Blush - Rose D'Or
Bourjois Clubbing Linner - Extreme Black
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Red Lip Liner
Barry M Red Lipstick (Blue Undertone) - Shade 151

Hair has been curled in opposing directions to create a ringlet and swirl as the hair sits on my shoulders, I used Tresemme Firm Hold Hairspray and did a wet set curl and left in overnight.

I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day and Weekend. I might go and see Fifty Shades of Grey if I'm well enough and can find someone to go with me!!

Lots of Love

OOTW; Das Rock Haus Skirt Review

Today's OOTW is the first of 2015 and its a review of the gorgeous Das Rock Haus Olga Wrap Skirt!

OOTW

White Long Sleeved Top, Novelle - £8
Long Apple Pendant, New Look - £5 (discontinued)
Stone Patent Double T-Bar Pumps, New Look - £7
Coral Headband, New Look - £5

Review
When the lovely Fiza contacted me about reviewing a skirt for Das Rock Haus I immediately jumped at the chance! The choice of skirts are wonderful and they are all so pretty and beautiful! Fiza and me discussed which would be best and I had a look, but I fell in love with the Olga and I'm so thrilled with the way it looks. Seeing as the skirt came from Singapore, I expected what with the Royal Mail for the skirt to take a little while to arrive but it arrived in 5 days which took me by surprise! When the skirt arrived it came in this wonderful mesh bag, with the ribbons tied in a bow. I completely loved the presentation of the skirt too, it was just the extra touch that makes the difference!

The fastenings are hook and eye fastenings which I honestly love, it's a more comfortable fit and no buttons coming off or loose! All you need to do is, take your measurements and the skirt's fastenings are done to your measurements for a perfect fit - which I honestly LOVE! I always have a problem when it comes to the 'right' size on my waist, and I think this is the perfect idea for an amazing fit!

I honestly love the fit on my figure - I'm an hourglass (with a little extra sand!) and I really love how this comfortably sits on my waist and doesn't dig in when I sit down. The wrap around skirt also helps to weight the skirt down a little so no awkward moments of the skirt flaring up when its a bit windy. I'm not wearing any shape wear with this skirt either. This skirt will be perfect for the hot Spring and Summer to come!

The skirt is a light weight material with a gorgeous triple bow detail on the top hem of the skirt - its the perfect touch to this already stunning skirt!

I give the Olga Wrap Skirt a 10/10!

OOTW: Stella Sweetheart & Review

Today we have a 2 in one! My OOTW and my new dress!

OOTW

Cream & Navy Cricket Cardigan, New Look - £18
(Bought 4 years ago)

Cream Bobby Lace Socks, eBay - £2

Rockabilly Flats, Babycham - £15
(No longer available)

Varied Size Pearl Necklace, Primark - £3

Black Cat Eye Sunglasses, Wear it Again Sam - £10

My make-up is the usual winged eye liner and red lipstick, however I've been recently experimenting with darker eye shadows and been working with more stone/neutral eye shadow shades. So here I have a natural tan eye shadow with a very pale grey in the crease blended out. My hair is actually 2 days old (yuck I know but I had an accident and had to keep my wounds dry for 48 hours!). 2 days previously I had set my hair in tight pin curls and after laying on it 2 nights in a row my hair still had loads of volume and still really wavy.

Review

I bought the Stella Sweetheart dress 2 weeks ago from my favourite brand Collectif (if you've been reading the blog for a while you'll know my collection is slowly growing) I've been awing over this dress for what feels like forever and I finally bought it in navy! This dress is super duper comfortable, its also super easy to wear with or without a petticoat. The texture is super soft and comfortable - I got this in a 22, mainly because I'm always suspicious with the fit on my bust with a lot of dresses, however I always have the option of tailoring my dresses for me with my sewing machine so thats no hassle.

Personally for me a really important factor in swing dresses is the 'twirl factor' if the skirt twirls really easily and its a winner... I love the Stella dress even more!!!!!!! I asked my friend to twirl me around while doing a bit of jive dance and it was such a nice flow on the dress!

A lot of ladies with bigger busts have spoken to me in the street about wearing halter necks, and for me personally I find them comfortable - again with the material that is used with the Stella dress, its super comfortable and doesn't pull on your neck too much either! The dress cinches in really well at the waist, and for me its the perfect dress to wear in the summer when it arrives! This dress looks like it could be a regular feature come my summer wardrobe!

Just a little reminder for those who have asked about seeing some of my modelling work make sure you head over to my facebook page  to go and see all my photos from my recent shoots!

Please excuse the cuts on my legs/ankles. I had a fall at my photo shoot on the 1st March and they are still clearing up!

Love & Kisses
