Valentines OOTW; Perfect Pin-Up

It's been a while since I've done an OOTW on my blog, but sadly I've been very ill for the past 7 weeks which means I just haven't had the energy to do any OOTW's after being ill and also working my day job & also modelling at the weekends.

But today I'm showing you my 'perfect Pin-Up' Valentines Look! This is a gorgeous little summer dress from Collectif that I got last summer, but haven't had much of a chance to wear it or shoot with it yet. So as soon as I was shooting my Valentines Photoshoot on Saturday (Images will be over on my facebook page over the next few days and weeks!) I had to wear this gorgeous number.

Photo & Post-Processing - John Bellingham
Model, MUA & Hair Stylist - Emma Victoria
Baby Pink 20 inch Petticoat, Hell Bunny - £25.00
Black 6.5 inch Heels, Charity - £5
Baby Pink Chiffon Square (Headscarf), eBay - £4.00
1940's White Size 5 Gloves with Lace edge Detailing, Vintage Shop - £10

I totally love this gorgeous look, its adorably cute and sweet and just oozes with the love that Valentine's Day is filled with. I simply adore the Pink Hibiscus Flowers, it adds the summer feeling I've been missing for so long and its the perfect dress to stand out with on Valentines Day if you have a special someone.

If you want a darker Valentines Look then why don't you look at my OOTW from Last Year

Make-Up
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - Ivory
Natural Collection Face Powder - Neutral
Victoria Jackson Sunset Eyeshadow Palette (Gold & Pale Pink)
Bourjois Blush - Rose D'Or
Bourjois Clubbing Linner - Extreme Black
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Red Lip Liner
Barry M Red Lipstick (Blue Undertone) - Shade 151

Hair has been curled in opposing directions to create a ringlet and swirl as the hair sits on my shoulders, I used Tresemme Firm Hold Hairspray and did a wet set curl and left in overnight.

I hope you have a fantastic Valentines Day and Weekend. I might go and see Fifty Shades of Grey if I'm well enough and can find someone to go with me!!

Lots of Love

Review; Collectif Pearl Coat (Beige)

Happy Saturday! Sorry today's post isn't up at the usual time, but I've been so wrapped up into my reading, that last night I forgot to write this post up (and while I write this I'm actually watching the rugby)!!

Anyway, today I thought I'd show, and review my absolutely stunning new coat! I'm in complete awe and love with this coat - I waited a year to purchase it, and its everything I expected and more.

So lets begin with the actual aesthetic looks to the coat.
The Pearl Coat has a 1930's style with stunning pleats on the waist, bust and back of the coat to give volume and to shape. The coat has a small hourglass cut to the waist, which is also supported with the flare of the skirt on the coat too. (Perfect for those ladies who want to flatter their figure, or to acheieve a little hourglass figure while wearing a coat). The collar, cuffs and trim of the coat are all in a faux fox fur which is so super soft you never want to take the coat of at all! I also saw a post on Tumblr where the Pearl Coat looks identical to the one in the picture (link here).

The coat itself, is very heavy, but at the same time its very cosy and warm. I genuinely can't wait to have snow again in the UK, just so I have even more excuse to wear the coat!
I bought this coat in a size 20, and its definitely true to size, I'm in between sizes in Collectif varying from a size 18 -22, but I'm predominantly a 20. The coat has a good little bit of stretch to it, not loads but enough to fit over my rather voluptuous lady lumps. The buttons are mighty sturdy too, as well as positively cute. What I love even more with the faux fur neck collar, is that you can have it loose like I am wearing in the images, or you can fasten it up so its more tighter around your neck for more warmth; there is 3 hook and eye fasteners on the fur collar, and is a really lovely option to have, depending on what the weather may be.
The coat also has really good pockets - I'm very fussy when it comes to coats with pockets. My last coat had poor excuses for pockets and I couldn't even put my phone in them without it falling out - however the pockets on the pearl can probably hold a compact mirror, lipstick and my iPhone 4s quite happily - which is perfect if you are just quickly dashing out and don't need nor want to take a handbag! (Also perfect to pop your hands in if you gloves aren't keeping your hands toasty!)
My favourite part of testing anything that has a flowy skirt to it, is the twirl test! I didn't expect this coat to be too twirly considering how heavy it is, but I was pleasantly surprised! If you are walking down the street the skirt actually swings as you go, making you look like you've stepped out of the 1930's glamour scene (no complaints here!), but if you really want to get some va va voom, then just spin in a circle (I do it a lot, way too much some times!) and then you can really get some volume under the skirt - definitely a happy girl here! No worries if it's windy though as the coat will definitely hold down so you won't have to worry about having any Marilyn Monroe moments!

11/10

So overall I think this whole coat is phenomenal - its just perfect and is classically elegant.  I even think giving it an 11 out of 10 is still not justifying how amazing this coat is, in design and quality. You can either dress it up or dress it down! I'd pair this coat with my Patsy Herringbone skirt, black tights, black pumps, a cute top and cardigan/bolero with this coat for a cute winter outfit!
The price of £185 may be a little steep for those on a budget, but I promise that it is definitely worth its price tag!

You can buy your's here:

OOTW; Winter Polka Dotty

Seeing as we are approaching cooler climates now its starting to get near Christmas - which always means I get super excited. However, I still have a lot of meetings to go to for various things I do, so I need to look smart yet stylish. Way back in July I think it was, Collectif had a huge sale and I bought this lovely dress, and its absolutely perfect!
Blue Crochet Multiway Bra, Simply Be - £32 (No Longer Available)
Blue Crochet High Waisted Briefs, Simple Be - £18 (No Longer Available)
Red Polka Dot Dolores Wiggle Dress, Collectif - £50
Black pearls, Charity Shop - £1
Cream Fur Coat, Primark - £35
Patent Becca Bag, Collectif - £35
T-Bar Heels, eBay - £20

This outfit is really lovely and comfortable, I got my dress in a size 22, but kind of wish I went for a 20 or even an 18. Its actually quite big on me, but I've yet to get round to tailoring it properly to my figure. However, its a super classy, bright number which can brighten anyone's day - as my boss told me so!

I've also been really enjoying wearing hold-ups more so far this autumn/winter, I normally just wore plain tights or leggings if wearing boots. And these Amazon ones are amazing and don't fall down! I have a review for them coming up soon!

I kept my make-up particularly simple, seeing as this is a more 'office' do, and the smoky grey eyes are just absolutely lovely anyway! You can add eyeliner if you wish, however I chose not to.
Make-up
Vie Tinted Moisturiser in Very Light
Collection 2000 Concealer in Shade 02
Collection 2000 Foundation in Light
Natural Collection Face Powder shade Neutral
Light Shimmer Grey over whole lid
Dark Shimmer Grey in crease, blended out
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
Mary Kay Lip Gloss in shade Goldrush

OOTW; Pretty Perfect

I'm back my lovelies! Feels like forever since I've posted here, even though its only been 2 months. So, seeing as we are now hitting Autumn/Winter I think its time to crack on with the warmer outfits - but we can still look stylish wrapped up too!

Just to let you know, I'm not doing a new Halloween Outfit for each week like last year, as sadly I don't have the time as I work full time & model part time now. (Sorry! I might be able to conjure something up though!)

Patsy Herringbone Skirt, Collectif - £72 .50
Alice Top in Pink - Collectif - £15
Cream Gail Bolero, Collectif - £45
White Lace Bobby Socks, eBay - £3
Pink Double Flower Clip, eBay - £4
Black Belt, New Look - £4 (in a pair)
Pixie Boots, Clarks - £50 (5 years old, now discontinued)
Ivory Pearl Necklace, Collectif - £15
So you can probably see I'm still very much obsessed with Collectif... I'm always in and out of the Brighton store now days, and slowly becoming part of the furniture!

Make-up
Face
Collection 16 hour Foundation in Ivory
Collection 16 hour Concealer in Ivory
2True Concealer in 01
Bourjois Blush in shade Rose D'Or
Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner
Bourjois Clubbing Liner (Liquid) - Ultra Black
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
Bourjois 'Rouge Edition' Lipstick in Shade 03

Nails
Barry Hi-Shine Gelly Nail Polish in Greenberry (Green) & Grapefruit

I actually bought the skirt in the summer in Collectif when rumaging through the sale section in the Brighton Store, last skirt and in my size and I knew I had to have it! The skirt is a super thick Herringbone material and the quality is absolutely fantastic! It has a silk underskirt for that extra layer of warmth in the winter. The skirt is very heavy if I'm going to be honest, for some people this may raise an issue but not for myself personally. (I'm not sure if Collectif are bringing this skirt back for the AW14 Collection or not this year). I'm completely in love with the Alice top, its so basic yet so pretty and perfect to match with several different outfits! I just tied my hair up into a simple high ponytail and added a cute little flower clip for the perfect look. This look is so warm and cuddly that I totally can't wait for it to get a little colder so I can appreciate its cosyness even more!

Lots of Love

OOTW&Review; Collectif Summer Bouquet Dolores

So as I've said for the last few weeks, I'm going on a 2 month break (see post here which kind of explains why) so I saved this beauty of a dress to show you guys and to review for my last post. I'm going to miss documenting my outfits each week for the next 2 months, but I really need this break. However, I originally planned on getting this dress before my birthday but Collectif had sold out in my size weeks before and hadn't restocked - so I lost hope and began looking for a new dress which I'd love just as much. I felt heartbroken at first but on my actual birthday I went to Brighton with my best friend and we went into Collectif and THERE WAS THE DRESS. In my size, in the flared style, right in front of me! My birthday was made not only by the fact my best friend surprised me by coming down for the weekend (she kept it from me for months!) but I found the dress I;ve wanted so badly for a whole year!

Summer Bouquet Dolores Dress, Collectif - £65
Red & White Becca Bag, Collectif - £35
Slingback Peep Toes, Peacocks - £12
Pink Chiffon Scarf, eBay - £4.50
Leopard Print Cat Eye Sunglasses, eBay - £10

Review

So after a year of lusting over this dress, I feel like my world is made by owning it now. You all know my favourite brand is Collectif, so as I normally do I went to their Brighton shop, had a lovely chat with the ladies who are probably becoming very familiar with me always popping in there and browsed round with my best friend - and then I found it. Now the dress itself is in the flared Dolores Style, and this dress has a lot of give to it, I was originally looking for a size 20, but I was advised to size down due to how much give the dress has and also for a better fit on the bust; so I ended up with an 18. When I got home the first thing I did (and my friend Danielle can vouch for me on this!) was but the dress on, as I just couldn't believe how much I loved this dress. Truthfully I could actually fit into a 16 with this dress, but I prefer it a little bigger if I was to wear a petticoat (like above) and also I can tailor the dress with my sewing machine if I need to. The dress has an absolutely gorgeous summer floral pattern, and for someone who doesn't normally wear yellow due to being blonde and the colour normally doesn't complement me, this dress just looks phenomenal! There is plenty of room on the bust for the bigger busted ladies but also gives a beautiful curve on the bust for the ladies who are more slender. This dress is perfect for an hourglass look. The dress sits about mid calf on me (I stand at 5 foot 5.5) and has an absolutely beautiful flare on the full circle skirt, I also love pairing a petticoat with the Dolores dress because of how pretty it makes the skirt, I feel like I've really stepped out of the 50's when wearing a petticoat with this dress! (I personally prefer wearing a 20" petticoat as this sits above the knee and doesn't go below the dress).

My favourite part is always the twirl test - this dress just twirls perfectly, the skirt has such a good flow and spreads out beautifully when twirling around. The dress has the permanently stunning feel to it, and even my friend who dances around with me said its a beautiful dress to dance in. The dress isn't tight on the waist like some dresses from other brands that I own either.

Another amazing feature to the Dolores Doll dresses are definitely the puffed elasticated sleeves. You can either wear them off the shoulder or as a normal sleeve. Which I love, if I feel like having a sassier day then I will have the sleeves off the shoulder but if I want to be a little more conservative then I will opt for on shoulder.

I decided to match this dress with a pink petticoat and pink chiffon headscarf, mainly because I thought these would compliment the yellow quite well. However, I also added my red Becca bag, which looks absolutely stunning alongside the dress too.

So another beautiful dress has won me over from Collectif!!

I'm going to miss doing these posts for a little while, but when I'm back I'm sure I will have lots of beautiful outfits to show you all!

Lots of Love & See You Soon!

OOTW; Gretel

This week features yet another new dress I bought in Brighton a few weeks back... Its the Gretel Dress in Gingham from Collectif!

Gretel Swing Dress, Collectif - £58.50
Round Sunglasses, Vintage Fair - £5
Peep Toe Sling Back Heels, Peacocks - £12

I did super basic make-up with this, just a simple thin winged eye-liner and foundation. Mainly because I opt to wear less make-up in the summer due to the heat. I put my hair in plaits mainly because, well, I think I look cute and it matches this outfit absolutely perfectly!

Overall the Gretel dress is super cute, it has the halter neck style I really adore and the buttons on the front of the dress are an adorable heart shape. The top half actually opens up like a top which is quite a sweet feature if you maybe want a little more cleavage. The skirt of the dress and top of the dress has a beautiful little crochet lace detail on the trim, it just adds to the cuteness of this dress completely!!

I was a little wary of this dress at first (yes I know, surprising for me with a Collectif dress!), however a friend bought this dress a while back and she found it came up quite short, now both of us being plus size princesses we have rather chubby thighs, and tend not to go for shorter dresses. But I bit the bullet when in the Brighton shop, and bought it. For me it sits just on the knee, as you can see from the above picture, which is good for me personally, as I stand at around 5ft5.5, so the dress isn't too short for me.

The dress is super lightweight and is perfect for summer, however you can team it with a cardigan on the shoulders, if their is a slight breeze in the air!

My Favourite Top!

A little blog write up following my YouTube Video from the other week! As said, these tops compliment my bust and tummy amazingly and are so easy to style in different ways!

I have 2 of the Polka Dot Tops. One in Candy Pink and the other in Navy

Buy Here

I also have 2 plain, white and Black, for easy pairings with patterned skirts or for an office look with some cigarette trousers or swing trousers.

Buy Here

I also have 2 patterned tops, one which is a Black and Cherry top, new to the Spring/Summer 2014 collection, and the other being the red gingham top from last summer.

Cherry Top - Buy Here
Gingham Top - Buy Here

I just love the cut of these tops, and they are super complimentary to those with a bigger bust! I love the fact they also have a stretchy bit on the sleeves. You can either wear it with the sleeves up as normal or you can wear them off the shoulder (which by the way looks absolutely adorable!).

I'd definitely recommend this top - its one of my favourites and they are so easy to style with several different outfits!

OOTW; Schwing...

Happy Wednesday!!! I am just loving this summer weather we've had!! This weekend I went for a couple of dog walks with Alice and Freddie and taught Alice to swim! However... A few people are still going on about me and trousers so here is another trouser outfit that I really like and have been sporting a lot recently!

White Cinch Belt, Hell Bunny - £5
Black T-bar Heels, eBay - £15
Sock bun, Peackocks - £1
Vintage Circle Sunglasses, Vintage Fair - £5
Swallow Love Necklace, eBay - £10
This outfit is very much a crossover of the 40's and 50's, I personally just wanted to make this outfit a bit more flirty with the cleavage from the Dolores top, plus seeing as its summer I don't want to have a too heavy top as I would just get hot. I just went for a simple black and white look with this outfit purely because I just wanted it to be simple and effective and making the cinch of the waist stand out more. By going simple with the colours, it also makes the red lipstick stand out more, which I personally love by highlighting this one part of the outfit!

You can also wear flat pumps with this look, I just opted for heels! The Franky Swing trousers are a definite must-have in my opinion... These are perfect for creating that vintage look but also making your bum look amazing!!!! I got mine in a 22, mainly because trousers are normally tight on the bum for me, but these were just a tad too
big! So I tailored the inside seam to make it tighter and also tailored the length in the leg as it was just a tad short for me, seeing as I only stand at 5ft5.5 in height.

I went for my signature rockabilly look today - just half white and half golf eyeshadow, Starting with white across the whole lid and in the crease and about half the eyelid in golf eyeshadow blended out, winged eyeliner and ruby red lips! I'm super loving my new sunglasses at the moment too! I got these when I went to the Vintage Fair on the 1st June. These are slightly different to my usual Marilyn sunglasses as these are a little more rounded, but they are just so cute!!!

Well that's all from me! I also have a YouTube video going up this Saturday!! I told you it wouldn't be months till a new one goes up! This is just a beauty faves video as suggested to me by my friend Josie! So look out for that!

Love

OOTW: Winter to Summer!

You may remember way back in January when I featured a winter outfit with the Collectif Blackwatch Skirt... In this weeks OOTW, I thought I'd show you what I've done to get a summer twist!

Peter Pan Collar Top, Primark - £5
Black Patent Frothy Soda Flat Shoes, Clarks - £44.99
Leopard Print Cat Eye Sunglasses, eBay - £8

For the summmer look I just paired the skirt with this cute little peter pan collar top, and its also perfect if you don't want to show too much cleavage. Its quite a light outfit too, so it keeps you nice and cool in the summer heat!

I did my hair in a style I've been doing a lot recently. Just taking some hair at the front and plaiting them round and clipping them at the back of my head - you can either leave the hair lose like I have here of pop it into a looped ponytail (watch here on how to do this!).

For my make-up its just a little bit of foundation and some mascara. Nothing too spectacular. I don't like wearing too much make-up in the summer cause of the sweat and that. (yuck.)

I've also resorted to my leopard print sunglasses as my black ones have broken and only just bought some new ones (yay) which are more expensive but awesome quality!

Anywho my darlings, I best be off for today! If you have any post suggestions do let me know!

Lots of Love

OOTW & Review: Pretty Polly

We have a double whammy again today! I totally enjoyed reviewing the Stella Sweetheart Dress in this way that I've also decided to do it for this dress...

OOTW

White Bow Wedges, Simply Be - £20
(Discontinued)
Marilyn Cat Eye Sunglasses, Wear it Again Sam - £9.99

For my make-up I just did the signature rockabilly style with thin winged eyeliner, and a blue undertone red lipstick to make my pearly whites shine. For my eyeshadow I just used the Rimmel Glam'Eyes Mono Eyeshadow in "Glam Ice" for an ice white feel to my eyes for an extra pop in the summer sun!

Recently for my hair I've been totally loving the 60's beehive hairstyle; I'd never really tried it so I've just been experimenting with what works for my hair seeing as mine is growing out and is layered. I just matched the red bandanna for that extra rockabilly touch and just to help shape up the beehive a bit more.

Review

As I said above, I got this dress as a thank you gift. I'd been pining over it since Collectif actually released the images for this dress which is part of this years Spring/Summer Collection. I've been looking for a good shirt dress for a while that actually fits over my rather large bust area and Collectif never fail to make me smile... I actually went for a size 20, I normally go for a size 22 due to the chest area always being tight, but I gave the smaller size a shot; and I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well the fit was, with my bust measuring 44-46 depending on the cut I was in between an 18/20. You can either have the dress fully buttoned up, or if you want a slightly more rebel rockbilly feel have it on one of the lower buttons which shows more cleavage! You can either be preppy princess or rebel rockabilly!

The twirl test is probably my favourite thing about reviewing dresses! This dress does have a full circle skirt, however due to the different material it does twirl a bit differently, and actually I really like it! The skirt of the dress actually swings in more of a direction unlike my other circle skirt dresses which just follow your movement - the extra movement of the skirt gives an amazing dimension when walking down the street in heels as it helps to exaggerate your hip movements.

Overall I LOVE the polly dress, its definitely a summer must-have! If the weather does become cooler however you could match this with a bolero; I'd personally reccommend either the Gail Bolero in Cream or Jean Bolero in Ivory

The Polly dress is available in either in red gingham, red or black.

See you saturday for my next post my lovelies!

OOTW; Rockin' & Rollin'

White Long Sleeved T-Shirt, Nouvelle - £12
Black Slimming Leggings, £10 - Next (Discontinued)
Black Pumps, Clarks - £44.99
Lollipop - Optional

So I got Imelda May's new album Tribal (yes I fangirled, cause I absolutely love her.) and I found that the album was much more 'rocker' side of rockabilly, which I absolutely love!! My favourite song right now is "Round the Bend" its pure perfection! Although, I think my family may already be sick of the album by how much I've played it...

Anywho, today's look is inspired by the rocker chic... I'm always pretty and girly, and well sometimes its good to just dress like a proper little rocker! I've still got a little cutesy in this outfit with the lollipop! You could either wear black pumps of military boots with this outfit, my boots need to be replaced but pumps are just as good!

Ever wish you were as talented as your idol?

Lots of Love

OOTW: Summer Spots

I know you guys have seen this adorable skirt before, but sometimes I can't always afford a new outfit for every single day - and its so easy to fashion the same clothes in a different style!

Black Marilyn Cat Eye Sunglasses, Wear it Again Sam - £10
(Also here)
White Gold Button Collared Top, New Look - £8
(Discontinued)
Navy Polka Dot Liesel Skirt, Collectif - £46.50
Rockabilly Pumps, Babycham - £15
(Discontinued)

I just super love everything about this adorable outfit! You can also add a white cardigan over your shoulders if it becomes a little chilly or if there's a bit of a spring breeze! I'm totally enjoying this sunny weather we are having, it makes little old me so happy and cheerful and I just love to twirl around in pretty skirts in the summer!

This outfit is super light, and perfect for when we get some really hot weather, you could wear a petticoat with this skirt, but sometimes I prefer to wear it without (like above) because the skirt has such a lovely fit as it is!

My make-up is super plain today I've just got a thin winged eyeliner on its own, with foundation and a lip gloss I haven't used in what feels like forever! I've used the Mary Kay Nourishine Plus lip gloss in shade Beach Bronze as its super subtle but has a gorgeous shimmer to it! (You can buy it here!)

See you soon!

OOTW: Stella Sweetheart & Review

Today we have a 2 in one! My OOTW and my new dress!

OOTW

Cream & Navy Cricket Cardigan, New Look - £18
(Bought 4 years ago)

Cream Bobby Lace Socks, eBay - £2

Rockabilly Flats, Babycham - £15
(No longer available)

Varied Size Pearl Necklace, Primark - £3

Black Cat Eye Sunglasses, Wear it Again Sam - £10

My make-up is the usual winged eye liner and red lipstick, however I've been recently experimenting with darker eye shadows and been working with more stone/neutral eye shadow shades. So here I have a natural tan eye shadow with a very pale grey in the crease blended out. My hair is actually 2 days old (yuck I know but I had an accident and had to keep my wounds dry for 48 hours!). 2 days previously I had set my hair in tight pin curls and after laying on it 2 nights in a row my hair still had loads of volume and still really wavy.

Review

I bought the Stella Sweetheart dress 2 weeks ago from my favourite brand Collectif (if you've been reading the blog for a while you'll know my collection is slowly growing) I've been awing over this dress for what feels like forever and I finally bought it in navy! This dress is super duper comfortable, its also super easy to wear with or without a petticoat. The texture is super soft and comfortable - I got this in a 22, mainly because I'm always suspicious with the fit on my bust with a lot of dresses, however I always have the option of tailoring my dresses for me with my sewing machine so thats no hassle.

Personally for me a really important factor in swing dresses is the 'twirl factor' if the skirt twirls really easily and its a winner... I love the Stella dress even more!!!!!!! I asked my friend to twirl me around while doing a bit of jive dance and it was such a nice flow on the dress!

A lot of ladies with bigger busts have spoken to me in the street about wearing halter necks, and for me personally I find them comfortable - again with the material that is used with the Stella dress, its super comfortable and doesn't pull on your neck too much either! The dress cinches in really well at the waist, and for me its the perfect dress to wear in the summer when it arrives! This dress looks like it could be a regular feature come my summer wardrobe!

Just a little reminder for those who have asked about seeing some of my modelling work make sure you head over to my facebook page  to go and see all my photos from my recent shoots!

Please excuse the cuts on my legs/ankles. I had a fall at my photo shoot on the 1st March and they are still clearing up!

OOTW: Death by Love... (Valentines Day)

Today's post is an outfit I'd possibly wear on a date for Valentines Day - even though I don't have a date I will just be wearing this on Friday because well, I'm single and just screw what the world thinks.

This outfit is a little more edgy (I'm feeling a little bit Psychobilly this week and will probably have my hair in a pomp too for a more hyperbolic look). I really kind of like the subliminal meaning in this outfit, for me it says "Love till the Death" seeing with the black and white roses and skulls on my skirt, I'm trying to be somewhat romantic... And failing?

Ivory Pearls, Collectif - £15

Black T-Bar Heels, eBay - £15

I just really like the fact that this outfit is not too girly and stereotypical, but also that it has that edgy feel. Love is made out to be something easy and you just 'know' and yes that's somewhat true, but love can be painful and it can ruin you (I found that out the hard way), and for me personally that reflects how love has effected me. For my make-up I have done simple make-up, with my normal winged eye-liner and my dark berry Rimmel lipstick; my eye-shadow is just a pale pink as this just makes my eyes pop a little more instead of having a really bold colour, I just chose to have my eye-liner thicker for a stronger look. For my hair in this picture I just have it tied up in a ponytail and rolled in on itself with a leopard print headband. But I may also just do a large pomp with my fringe for a more 'psychobilly' look.

Happy Valentines Day for Friday to you Singletons and those in a relationship!
(JUST BE HAPPY!)

OOTW: Darling Dots!

It might be quite obvious but I love polka dot's! Back in December, Collectif had a 50% boxing day sale and I got 3 new items (the other 2 previously shown in my OOTW back on the 8th January!) and the other skirt I got was the navy blue polka dot liesel skirt! This is a simple little look and super cutesy - I've been so busy this week that my effort in my fashion has slightly slipped, so this was an easy outfit to just throw together quickly early in the morning!

White Long Sleeved Top, Nouvelle - £12
T-Bar Heels, eBay - £15

I just love the simplicity of this look! Its adorable and preppy! I think the little bandana makes it that little bit extra cute! My make-up is just my normal winged eyeliner and I'm just wearing a plain lip gloss for a little shine! I do have a lot of comments about the expense of Collectif clothes - however I am paying for the quality of the product! (P.S Sorry my hair is a little greasy, I was just about to wash it and curl it!)

OOTW: Pencil Skirt & Polka Dots!

I know its going to be another photoshoot outfit - but the outfits I wear in photoshoots are the ones I normally wear as well, and these are nice pictures of me in the clothes! These 2 items I just thought looked super cute together! I know most people wouldn't put two patterned items like this together, but I thought it looked cute!

OOTW: Collectif Fairy Dress!

Today I thought I would show you a dress I got back in December, which I also wore for a photoshoot - I actually wore this on Christmas day as well, after Alice jumped up and managed to make my other dress muddy within 5 minutes of me putting it on! I don't know if they still sell this dress, or if they will be restocking it or not, but I super love this dress to maybe even wear on a date (yes I am finally starting to go out on dates again!) as its smart but not too formal so it can pass for casual too! It has a stretchy back and adjustable straps which is PERFECT!

Red Fairy Dress, Collectif - £55

Ivory Pearls, Collectif - £15

T-Bar Heels, eBay - £!5

Pink Gold Stud Bow, Charity - £1 (2 in a pack)

You can also pair this with a fur coat or shrug for winter and maybe a black cardigan/bolero for summer!

Hair and Make-up
My friend Marie did my hair for this, as I'm still a rookie at doing victory rolls myself, as I had a small fear inside myself for doing them, but now facing it! I've also done a post on doing victory rolls and how you can do them yourself with a easy to follow step by step! My make-up is pretty simple, I have used my white Rimmel Eyeshadow in "Glam Ice" across my whole eye lid, particularly in the corner without blending, I then added a sparkly strong pigmented pink from about half way in on my eyelid to the outer and blended the white into the pink (blending outwards) but not too much so it's still visible on the eye. Then add a medium thickness eyeliner and do your red lips (I'm also doing a perfect red lips tutorial so look out for that too!)

OOTW: Trip to London

Last Thursday I went to London with my best friend (and she's a photographer!). We've been friends for just over 6 years now, and we love to meet up and just wonder round London and end up in Soho and have a bubble tea (if you haven't had one, you haven't lived! They are amazing!). First of all, we went to Winter Wonderland which was amazing, and I got a Dalmation plush toy (his name is Toby) and then we just went for a walk. We went to Covent Garden and we visited my most favourite shop in the whole entire world... Collectif!!!! We had a lovely chat with the girl in there (and she was lovely!) and I also bought a new polka dot scarf!

Winter Detachable Faux Fur Collar Coat (2012 Season), New Look - £70

Blogmas Day 25: Christmas Day 'Baby Its Cold Outside' OOTW!

This is a scheduled post today - seeing as its Christmas day I don't really want to be on the computer as I'm so traditional that Christmas day is about family! I thought I'd show you what I'm wearing today and what I will be doing!

Cream Fur Coat, Primark - £35

Ivory Pearls, Collectif - £15

Black Alpine Clover, Clarks - £39.99

My make-up is pretty simple and basic, I have some lovely shimmery gold eye-shadow for the glitzy Christmas effect along with some thick winged eye-liner! My lips are a burgundy colour to match my dress this is the Rimmel Lipstick in shade 107! (Cheeky little mince pie too, can never get enough!)

My itinerary for the day is pretty calm and relaxed! Mum and me get up at around 7 as mum makes Christmas Morning Cranberry breakfast cupcakes and I make pancakes! After we have all had a hot cuppa (I always have a super luxury hot chocolate on Christmas morning!) we then proceed to open presents, we don't normally start till about well 9.30-10 and by the time we finish its time to sort everything out and then start getting things ready for lunch. The dogs normally go out for a play with all their new toys until lunch time were they get spoilt rotten by me giving them around a tonne of treats (they only get spoiled on their birthday's and Christmas and they work it off so its fine!). We normally have lunch about 12-1pm and its generally just an array of things such as the ham my mum cooks and cheese and crackers and pork pie and nuts and crisps - basically a platter to be honest! This year I'm going to take the dogs for a Christmas walk because I feel I just need some time alone to reminisce everything and how much things have changed from last year. We then just put the radio on, play Boggle as this is always a tradition (and I always end up crying with laughter because my mum just writes 'new' words into the dictionary and I can't control my laughter). Me and mum then start preparing dinner just so we don't get too stressed out and we can relax. Instead of Christmas Crackers we have the idea of a table present (this is normally just a joke present which no more then £5). We split the Christmas dinner up between us - Dad does the starter, mum does the main and I do the dessert! After we just relax and watch all the Christmas programmes, I get into my new pyjamas with yet another hot chocolate and then I go to bed and relax and sleep and cuddle up!

Well I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and may all your wishes come true!

Lots of Christmas Love
