The Pinup Picnic in the Park was held and presented by The British Belles on 27th June 2015 in London's Hyde Park.

So I got Imelda May's new album Tribal (yes I fangirled, cause I absolutely love her.) and I found that the album was much more 'rocker' side of rockabilly, which I absolutely love!! My favourite song right now is "Round the Bend" its pure perfection! Although, I think my family may already be sick of the album by how much I've played it...
Anywho, today's look is inspired by the rocker chic... I'm always pretty and girly, and well sometimes its good to just dress like a proper little rocker! I've still got a little cutesy in this outfit with the lollipop! You could either wear black pumps of military boots with this outfit, my boots need to be replaced but pumps are just as good!

I'm hoping to post a little more on my YouTube now, I don't really have much spare time but I am trying! Today's video is about me needing a bit of your help! I'm in a moral dilemma!!
Today's video is a baking tutorial! I have never ever done a baking video or tutorial video on my YouTube before so I thought I would! I also have the recipe below if you want to try and make the Shortbread yourself! This is pretty much fool proof - not even I could screw it up and I'm really not a baking pro!
RECIPE: 100g of Butter 100g of Plain Flour 50g or Caster Sugar 50g Semolina 1. Put your oven on 160C (lower if you have a fan oven). Blitz in a food process of bring all the ingredients together in a bowl using your hands (Don't forget to scrub them!!) 2. Roll out your dough onto a floured work surface and choose your cookie cutters. You want your dough about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and then cut with your cutters. 3. Then get a tray with greaseproof paper to put your shortbread on and bake for 20-25 minutes. 4. Leave to cool and then sprinkle sugar on top and transfer to a wire rack. 5. Voila - its time to eat! Another sunday, and another day of relaxing. I'm not used to this holiday malarkey . Used to being busy and working in the summer! Oh well, lets see what this week has in store!
Warning! Naked face!!
Today I've just been doing the first part of the cleaning and also writing Thank you letters for my birthday.. Seeing as I've only just found some I really like! Also its just a day of relaxing and doing little bits and bobs round the house. I hate to admit but I have had 5 vanilla coffee's today... About to have a 6th! I'm pretty hooked on coffee... but its too damn nice to give up! MondayI have to do the second part of the cleaning... which means I have to wash the floor downstairs, and in the bathroom & toilet, but I'm also using the new Vanish Carpet Shaker Cleaner to clean my (disgusting) cream carpet... We shall see how this ends tomorrow. I also have to go down into the little village I live in to get some more tablets for myself, as I'm still not in a good condition with my chest (yup, still having damn problems) and I also need to get a new inhaler, cause I kind of lost mine... Woops. Tuesday I'm going to a little meet up with some people who follow my band. We had a few people at our last gig ask if we would do a little meet and greet kind of thing, so we are just going for a coffee and a ponder to get to know some of the people who follow us, and also give them a chance to meet us, up close and personal! (Is this what its like to be well known?) Wednesday My brother is going off to his respite bungalow for 4 days, as this will be his last until he goes back to school in September. I also have the food shopping coming in the afternoon, so again, another boring day at home! However, I plan on hopefully right down some new tunes (songs) as I've felt really inspired to write recently (for example, I woke up at 2am... and wrote a new song called 'Lonely Lane' the other week, about a guy who shamefully lies to his girlfriend thinking she wouldn't find out... deep stuff). Thursday My mum has said she really wants to go out to lunch with me, so being the nice daughter I am (and also realising I get a free meal and drinks out of this) I've complied to go along, what's the harm? After this, I'm not too sure what I have planned! Just see what happens! Friday A relaxing day doing absolutely nothing... I wish. Got a lot of meetings to sort out and rescheduling photo shoots (SEE BELOW IN MY LIFE UPDATE ABOUT ALL THE DETAILS). I'm probably going all retro office chic today (yay?) At least I can pull off looking smart and retro at the same time! Saturday I'm not really too sure what I have planned, I would really like to go to the cinema at some point in this holiday, but who knows, I may ask around and see if anyone is interested! Here comes the update stuff! Okay lets start with a blog update; I just want to let you know about my little plan for blogging once I go back to college. I will try to keep my regular content going, right up until the 8th September (day of my weekly overview). From then on, things get a little more difficult - I will be doing my OOTW's still on every Tuesday (depending on my timetable, this may change to Wednesday if I have a day off), I will still be posting my weekly overview's on a Sunday however these will be posted later in the evening. For my non-structured posts (the ones about different subjects) which I post at random on either Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will be restricted to Fridays only. The reason I am cutting back is because when I go back I will have a lot of work to do each week, a lot of essays (especially English ones), so I've had to -restructure my whole blogging schedule! On Friday this week, I am doing a little bathroom essentials post, so all my little bits and bobs, and also will be doing my OOTW on Tuesday, so as said before, blogging schedule is still remaining the same. Life Update: Okay as said above, I was going to explain about my modelling so I will do that first and then talk about my huge personal achievement (this post is so super long, sorry!). As mentioned in my earlier posts in July, I broke my two toes on my left foot, which are both still super painful, and I'm still being refrained from wearing heels. My middle toe is now around 80% healed, but my little toe is still only around 50%, and is still in a lot of pain when wearing trainers. My doctor said until I can wear trainers I'm still unable to wear heels. So for now the photo shoots are still postponed... HOWEVER - I am having meetings with some photographers this Friday, meaning we may split the shoots into different sessions - this means that if we can take some photos without my wearing heels now, and take the ones wearing heels later then we will do this. I'm hoping I can do some of the lingerie photos without heels as that means I can get some prints out to people buy pictures from me ASAP! Now the little achievement part - as said in many of my relationship posts about my struggle of getting over this lad, lets call him Dave - I have managed to go a full 25 days without talking to him. In this time, it also proved to me that, because he hasn't made the effort to talk to me once, that I was the one making all the effort in our friendship. I also made a deal with myself (and also posted on twitter, so I couldn't get out of doing it) that at 25 days of no talking, I would delete and block this guy on twitter, and delete him off Facebook - in fact I was so eager to do it, I did it at 23 days!! I know its not much, but after being hung up on this guy for around a year now, this is a huge step forward, and now I'm looking onto more positive things, and getting over this horrible depression for good!!! Okay, so I'm really sorry for the super duper long post, however, its easier to get it all out in one go! Also don't forget to check out my Birthday Haul video on Youtube which I've finally done!! First of all I want to apologise for my absence of not posting since Tuesday, I've had a pretty horrendous week. I've now also come to the conclusion that ever since turning 18, everything has turned to absolute crap. I've been 18 for 8 days and I already want to be a child again. I've also broken 2 of my toes, which I'm in loads of pain with (amazingly enough I didn't think it would hurt that bad. Damn I was wrong). Anyway, moving onto a hopefully better week. (I wish).

Today: Well I'm mean't to be resting my foot with elevating it and with a cold compress, however I've ended up mowing the lawn and doing loads of things and being in pain. Monday I have a night shift from 9pm-6am (tuesday morning) so the day is mostly resting and doing paperwork and looking at moving banks and looking at dresses I cant quite afford. Tuesday Work all day from 9am-3pm and then home to cook my dinner and again do more paperwork and lots of phone calls. Wednesday I've managed to bring my holiday earlier so today is my last day at work until the 2nd of September! So its just a relaxing day and I finish at 1pm, then I'll be going for lunch with a load of my colleagues to celebrate summer before we don't see each other for around 5-6 weeks! Thursday My first day of my holiday, god knows what I'm going to be doing, just waiting for people to ask me to meet up etc! FridayPretty much the same as Thursday, not sure what I'm going to be doing however, I have band practice in the afternoon, so I may just be doing singing practice. Saturday I've no idea what I'm going to be doing, its all just going to be relaxing unless people want to meet up with me! I will be making up for not posting on friday on Monday, with 2 posts, one is the MoneySupermarket compeition and the other is my Summer To-Do List/Challenge! So keep an eye out for a double wammy tomorrow! I also now have no excuse for delaying doing my youtube which I will start this week, I absolutely promise!! Its finally summer in the UK, and its feeling hot, hot, HOT! Which makes me super duper happy! I'm also super happy due to the fact that this morning I checked my overall blog views and I've hit over 4,000 views! Which for little old me, is absolutely fantastic and amazing! I wouldn't have got this far without any of you! Back to the OOTW... Today's is a kind of relaxed look generally because, I have so many errands to do, running round the house, baking cupcakes, going into the loft, cleaning the house etc that its just a super simple look!

Today I am in fact not wearing any make-up! Generally because I'm not going out anywhere special and I'm just doing jobs around the house and popping into the village I live in! To just even out my skin (because lets be honest no one has naturally perfect skin, and I also have spots), I put little bit of face powder on. I've also put my hair in a bun because its out the way and its much easier in this hot weather then having it down! To accessorise around the bun a bit, I put an elastic hair band round which has decorative flowers attached to just make it a little more girly, you can also fashion this with a bandanna if you prefer!
This Friday is also my birthday! I turn 18 years old, how exciting! I will also be doing a blog post about my birthday, on Saturday (or Sunday, if I don't have enough time on Saturday) I will try and take as many pictures as possible too!
I also just want to say, that next week I plan to film a video for my youtube channel (finally)! I also today, watched a video by my friend who I went to school with. You can see Sammie's video here, she's started an advice channel, and she's filmed the first episode, which I thought would be super helpful for any of you!
Today I was sat in the staff room with my colleague Lucy, when she asked me if I would do a blog post on some of the music I listen to, as she was intrigued! So here I shall post some links to my favourite Rockabilly/Rock'N'Roll singers and bands that I listen to, so you get a taste of my taste!
Imelda May is probably my heroin in Rockabilly! She was the first person I really got into Rocakbilly with, her voice is perfect and beautiful! I just wish I was this woman! Everything about her and her music is perfect! Below is the first song I ever listened to of Imelda's and that's 'Johnny Got a Boom Boom'.
Jerry Lee Lewis is one of the first male Rock'N'Roll men I ever listened to, the other being Elvis. Great Balls of Fire, ironically was the second song I actually heard, the first song I heard was Wild One, which honestly in a way I prefer, generally because if you ever ask anyone for a Jerry Lee song, they tend to say Great Balls of Fire and then the other songs! So here is 'Wild One'.
Elvis Presley probably the most iconic (not forgetting amazingly gorgeous) man of Rock and Roll. He is the King... and who doesn't love the the King?! If you haven't heard an Elvis song, then where have you been all this time?! I thought I'd share with you my favourite song right now which Elvis did, now I know that Brenda Lee originally did 'Always on my Mind' however, I adore Elvis' version, its so melancholy and emotive, and I love it very much!
The Stray Cats - you can't have rockabilly without The Stray Cats!! They revived the Rockabillu scene back in the 80's, and if it wasn't for them, Rockabilly wouldn't be really were it is now, without that key revival what would us Rockabillies do?! One of my favourite Stray Cats songs at the moment is Rock This Town, my band actually covered this at our gig in the Isle of Wight, and the crowd loved it, just as much as we do!
Bill Haley and His Comets were huge in the 50's. I love Shake Rattle & Roll! I won't ever forget actually listening to this in my English Class at college and silently rocking out to myself, and my teacher wondering what on earth I was doing!
Kat Men is formed of Darrell Higham (Imelda May's husband and lead guitarist), Al Gare (also Imelda May's double bassist) and Slim Jim Phantom from the Stray Cats. This band strives complete perfection to me! I recently got their new album 'The Kat Men Cometh' after seeing them on Jools Holland... again another perfect band!
The Playtones are a swedish Rockabilly band, who participated in Melodifestivalen in 2011 with their song 'The King'. After seeing them perform on the show, I instantly fell in love with the Swedish Rockabilly Band. The band who used to be called 'Boppin' Steve and The Playtones' before 2008, and then changed to 'The Playtones'. I have to admit, I fan girl over this band a lot, and when they tweeted me on twitter (yes! Little old me!!) I completely died a little inside- and now they also follow me!!
Top Cats were another band that performed in Melodifestivalen but in 2012! They have been together since 2001, and I absolutely love this band (especially Jon Kleppenes, le fan girl) the first song I heard of theirs was Heartache, off their album Heartache/No More Heartache. (Jon Kleppenes in fact liked a photo of me on Instagram... lets just say, I was fan girling round the house and work for the 2 days after he liked that picture!). The song I am currently in deep love with is Baby Doll which was the song they used for Melodifestivalen... For me this song is the point of a view of a greaser boy meeting his perfect pin-up girl... His Baby Doll...
Knocksville is in fact a local band relatively near to were I live. I saw them live when they supported Big Boy Bloater at the Haunt in Brighton with my lovely friend Anja! I bought their album then, and ever since haven't stopped listening to them!
Well, these are only some of the people and bands I listen to. If I listed them all, we'd be here forever! These are some of the songs and bands that also inspire me to write, sing, and be confident with the way I am, whether people stare in the street, I am proud to say I'm a rockabilly, and I won't be changing for anyone!
