OOTW: Death by Love... (Valentines Day)

Today's post is an outfit I'd possibly wear on a date for Valentines Day - even though I don't have a date I will just be wearing this on Friday because well, I'm single and just screw what the world thinks.

This outfit is a little more edgy (I'm feeling a little bit Psychobilly this week and will probably have my hair in a pomp too for a more hyperbolic look). I really kind of like the subliminal meaning in this outfit, for me it says "Love till the Death" seeing with the black and white roses and skulls on my skirt, I'm trying to be somewhat romantic... And failing?

I just really like the fact that this outfit is not too girly and stereotypical, but also that it has that edgy feel. Love is made out to be something easy and you just 'know' and yes that's somewhat true, but love can be painful and it can ruin you (I found that out the hard way), and for me personally that reflects how love has effected me. For my make-up I have done simple make-up, with my normal winged eye-liner and my dark berry Rimmel lipstick; my eye-shadow is just a pale pink as this just makes my eyes pop a little more instead of having a really bold colour, I just chose to have my eye-liner thicker for a stronger look. For my hair in this picture I just have it tied up in a ponytail and rolled in on itself with a leopard print headband. But I may also just do a large pomp with my fringe for a more 'psychobilly' look.

OOTW; Biker Girl

Good day to you all! Its another one of those weeks where my emotions want to play a game with me, and I'm feeling so crappy, so I thought I'd dress nicely to make me feel a bit better! Yesterday, I went to Eastbourne to do shopping with my boyfriend and my mum. I decided to go for a bit of a biker girl look, seeing as my boyfriend loves motorbikes and cars (he's a greaser boy by the way!) I thought I'd rock a different look to my girly style.

I'm pulling a really weird face today!

Recently, I've been painting my nails a lot, just so that they look pretty! This week I thought I would try having white nails, as I've never had them white before! For the white I used Mavala nail polish in the shade 'Geneve' and for the blue part of my nail I used Mavala again for the base in shade 'Lagoon' which is a pale blue and just to add a bit of glitz I used the Barry M glitter polish in shade 'Aqua'.

I now have to go to my singing lesson with my Double Bassist and co-Singer in my band today (2 hours of singing, how enjoyable... - please understand my sarcastic tone) and then to come home and have a detox dinner... I need to start eating healthy again and going back down the gym more regularly! Any one have any easy tips?

I also forgot to say in my weekly overview this week that I have a gig on Friday, where we are supporting another Rockabilly band (The Rock-a-Limits) however all the tickets are currently sold out and we cannot say if there is any more being issued!  

Bargain Buy - Electric Blue Heels

Yesterday morning I popped into my local town to run some errands and meet up with some friends and I, who I am always up for a brilliant bargain went into the Salvation Army Charity Shop. As per always I went straight to the shoe section (which is right next to the hair accessories section!) saw these beautiful shoes!

These shoes are an Electric Blue Patent Platform heel. These are quite high at around 9cm; but with the platform the shoe doesn't actually feel as high as they look! I am one of those people who can't physically wear heels all day long and get no pain whatsoever. My feet will ache, but these shoes feel as if they are padded in the actual inside of the shoe! I bought these beautiful shoes for just a small £4.99! 

These shoes and me were just meant to be! I got these shoes in a size 5 1/2 (UK size!) which is my exact shoe size! 

Proof that going to charity shops are the way forward in fashion!
