Okay, so I was asked by a few people to do a Beauty Faves video, I may up date this every few months or so, but I tend to normally stick to the same sort of products that work well for me.

Blogmas Day 16: Candy Cane and Snowdrop Nails!

Today I'm doing a cute little nail tutorial on some super simple and adorable nails!

Step 1 Base Coat
First of all you want to select a red and green and paint your alternate nails in these colours. I decided to mix things up a bit and paint my thumbs grey to make them snowy nails! For the red I used Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly Polish in 'Blood Orange', Rimmel Lasting Finish nail polish in 'Green Grass', and Mavala nail polish in 'Warm Grey'. I applied around 2 coats for the red and grey and 3 for the green as the polish was not as pigmented as the other two polishes. I left mine to dry for about an hour to just make sure they were fully set.

Step 2 Adding the Effects!
Looking at the image above you can see for the candy canes I added just 2 lines per nail as mine aren't too long at the moment! I used a thin little make-up application brush, its super thin but I still managed to get a tonne of polish on the brush, but you can make your lines thinner if you wish! Then leave these to dry.
The thumbs are super simple as well, basically just apply different sized dots onto your nail and scatter them and be super generous but still being able to see the grey! You can make these predominant or make them very vague to represent snow or both like I did!

Step 3 Protect
Once you have let your nails dry again, you then want to get some clear nail polish just to protect the beautiful work you have just done! Et voila, you're done!

9 days till Christmas!!!!!!

Blogmas Day 8: Snowflake Nails

Today I thought I'd do a cute little nail tutorial the pictures aren't complimentary to what I've done but I shall try my best to explain to you best I can!
I decided to just do sparkly nails, as snow is always sparkly in the sun, right? On my thumb nails I decided to do a snowflake (like I said you can't see it too well, only vaguely).

The products I'm going to be using are: Rimmel Clear Nail Varnish, Barry M Diamond Glitter Nail Polish, and Barry M Matt White Nail polish along with the Barry M Nail Art Pen in Silver.

Step 1: Base Coat
Apply one coat of the clear nail polish, this just gives a protective layer between the coloured polish and your nail.

Step 2: Apply the White
Next you want to apply the white nail polish, I did 2 coats just to make sure my nails are fully covered and the white is nice and clear. I then leave these to dry for about an hour or so just to make sure they are fully set!

Step 3: Glitter & Snowflake
On the other 4 nails that you aren't putting a snowflake on, put several coats of the glitter on to make sure you get decent coverage and its super sparkly! While these are drying then use the nail art pen to draw a snowflake (I know its not the best picture in the world but you can get a rough idea from the picture on the right!). Once this has dried then add 2 coats of the glitter polish on top of your snowflake. If you wish you can add some silver dots on the other nails to represent snow like I did!

Step 4: Protect
To fully protect the nails, just add your clear nail varnish just to protect your nails from chipping and leave to dry - and voila!

We are done! I hope you enjoyed this little post!

17 days till Christmas!

Halloween Nails!

Here is a super quick tutorial on how to get some super cute Halloween nails! They aren't exactly the most complicated thing in the world but they are simple and just add a little finishing touch to your outfit! (Side note - This weeks OOTW will be up tomorrow due to me being at the doctors all morning and then at hospital for the majority of this afternoon!).

Step 1
First of all you want to prep your nails - I always opt to buff my nails to make them all smooth just because it makes the nail polish sit a little nicer on my nails and I also sorted my cuticles out as they seriously need seeing too!

Step 2
After you have prepared your nails, you want to add a red nail varnish, this doesn't have to be done neatly at all as you will be ruining them anyway in a minute! I recommend doing one hand at a time as you have to do the next step not long after applying the varnish. You also only need to do one coat of the red nail varnish.

Step 3
Now you need to get a tissue or a cloth and dab your nails and just completely make them look horrible like in the picture above!

Step 4
Now you need to add black nail varnish on top, and repeat step 3. Once your nails have fully dried you want to take a clear nail varnish on top to make your nails smoother and to finish the nails off. Leave to dry, clean up around the nails where you have overspilled the varnish and your done!

I know this is only simple, but simple is good right? I promise I will do my OOTW post tomorrow, today has just been so hectic!

OOTW; Biker Girl

Good day to you all! Its another one of those weeks where my emotions want to play a game with me, and I'm feeling so crappy, so I thought I'd dress nicely to make me feel a bit better! Yesterday, I went to Eastbourne to do shopping with my boyfriend and my mum. I decided to go for a bit of a biker girl look, seeing as my boyfriend loves motorbikes and cars (he's a greaser boy by the way!) I thought I'd rock a different look to my girly style.

I'm pulling a really weird face today!

Red Paisley Rockabilly Bandana, Collectif - £2.50

Leopard Print Dress, Peacocks - £12 (includes a black belt)

Black Military Style Boot, Amazon - £17.95

Recently, I've been painting my nails a lot, just so that they look pretty! This week I thought I would try having white nails, as I've never had them white before! For the white I used Mavala nail polish in the shade 'Geneve' and for the blue part of my nail I used Mavala again for the base in shade 'Lagoon' which is a pale blue and just to add a bit of glitz I used the Barry M glitter polish in shade 'Aqua'.

I now have to go to my singing lesson with my Double Bassist and co-Singer in my band today (2 hours of singing, how enjoyable... - please understand my sarcastic tone) and then to come home and have a detox dinner... I need to start eating healthy again and going back down the gym more regularly! Any one have any easy tips?

Much Love

P.S I will also be doing the July Photo Challenge on my Instagram, so make sure you give me a follow and watch out every day for a post! I also forgot to say in my weekly overview this week that I have a gig on Friday, where we are supporting another Rockabilly band (The Rock-a-Limits) however all the tickets are currently sold out and we cannot say if there is any more being issued!

Would You Rather; Beauty Tag!

Okay so I actually have the day off work, as I have lost my voice and have a horrible cough, because I work with disabled children I have to be careful if I'm poorly! So as I'm sat at home I thought I would blog to you all! I rather cheekily have stolen this beauty tag from my lovely friend Stephanie's Blog, (please check out her blog, its rather lovely!) and thought why not, as I'm feeling icky!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I'd much rather lose all my palettes and eyeshadows because they aren't really essential for my everyday basic look, while eyeliner, lipstick and mascara is!

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Honestly, I'd actually chop off all my hair, cause then I can go through the process or having loads of different styles as it grows, and considering my hair doesn't take that long to grow anyway, and I always seem to have a habit of changing my hairstyle a lot anyway!

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Hmm, this is tough. I'd probably say coral, my skin tone seems to go well with a mixture of colours, and pink may come out a little harsh against my skin tone compared to coral.

4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make-up?

We all know that I seem to have a some what obsession with clothes, so the answer is completely obvious. On a ratio, I'd probably spend about £700 on clothes and the other £300 on make-up.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eye-liner, or eye-liner as lipstick?

I'd probably choose eye-liner as lipstick, as most of my lipsticks tend to be bright red or neon pink... not sure that'd look too good on my blue eyes or not... thoughts?

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Umm, well I've only been to Sephora once and that was the one in Times Square, New York, and I've never used MAC products either.

7. Would you rather only use one eye-shadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?

I'd probably just use one lip colour for the rest of my life, and that would be my Maybelline Super Stay 24 hour Lip Colour in Red passion! Red lips are the best thing to finish and complete an outfit!

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

To be perfectly honest with you, I do in fact wear some of my summer clothes in the winter! I genuinely wear my summer skirts and dresses in the winter just adding tights to keep my legs warm! I don't tend to have many winter clothes and if I do, they are genuinely just jumpers to go over a top or something!

9. Would you rather wear dark nails or bright nails all year round?

I love to have bold and bright nails, bright pinks, reds, purples and all sorts, so I'd definitely choose bright nails! I love my bright Mavala nail polishes, as they don't tend to chip too easily and the pigment of them are just fantastic!

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?

I'd prefer to sacrifice my favourite lip product amazingly enough! I never tend to wear lipstick without my Soap and Glory 'Supercat' Eyeliner, so I'd definitely give up my lipstick rather then my eye-liner!

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

I think messy bun, I tend to wear my hair in a messy bun more then I do a pony tail nowadays. I find it easier and it just gives that 'rush and ready' look!

12. Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?

I'd love to not keep painting my nails, I rarely use lip gloss as I prefer lipsticks the matte stay of lipsticks I prefer to gloss as it rubs and comes off much easier. So I'd probably say never use lip gloss!

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

I'd rather shave off my eyebrows and have none at all! I never highlight my eyebrows anyway, but it just saves plucking them all the time to keep them neat.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

I'd rather live without nail polish, I tend to use make-up more then nail polish anyway, and it'd be easier to not keep painting my nails anyway!

As I said above, pretty please have a look at Stephanie's blog, its so lovely! My next blog post will about my new nautical Betty Boop pyjamas, which are so super adorable! Lets hope I feel better soon!

Lots of Love
