My Favourite Top!

A little blog write up following my YouTube Video from the other week! As said, these tops compliment my bust and tummy amazingly and are so easy to style in different ways!

I have 2 of the Polka Dot Tops. One in Candy Pink and the other in Navy

Buy Here

I also have 2 plain, white and Black, for easy pairings with patterned skirts or for an office look with some cigarette trousers or swing trousers.

Buy Here

I also have 2 patterned tops, one which is a Black and Cherry top, new to the Spring/Summer 2014 collection, and the other being the red gingham top from last summer.

Cherry Top - Buy Here
Gingham Top - Buy Here

I just love the cut of these tops, and they are super complimentary to those with a bigger bust! I love the fact they also have a stretchy bit on the sleeves. You can either wear it with the sleeves up as normal or you can wear them off the shoulder (which by the way looks absolutely adorable!).

I'd definitely recommend this top - its one of my favourites and they are so easy to style with several different outfits!

How To Tie A Rockabilly Hair Bandanna!

I have 2 methods on how I tie my Rockabilly headscarf's in my hair, obviously each person is different and I use my two depending on the outfit and what I'm doing/the weather!

Simple Wrap Around

1. First of all you just want your bandanna in a diamond shape and then fold this in half. You might want to iron it first, unlike mine, because I wear mine so often I never have the time to keep ironing it!

2. (Image on the right) Next you want to fold down the top tip of the bandanna, how much you fold it down by will determine how thick your bandanna will come out. I like to fold mine by about 5-6cm just so its just right for me. Now you just want to keep folding right down until you get one long strip (the 3rd image on the right).

3. I normally have my hair tied up in a ponytail or a bun with this style, and my fringe is in either betty bangs or its quiffed up (like in my Rockabilly Zombie post). Now you want to take the two ends and tie them onto your head into a knot. I prefer to tie mine at the front, but others may prefer the side of possibly tucked under the ponytail for a neater look. And then you are done!

4. OPTIONAL - If you want to secure you bandanna a little more then you can add bobby pins to secure it to your hair, this is especially helpful when its really windy out and you don't want to lose your scarf and mess your hair up!

Rosie the Riveter Style
I currently do not have a red polka dot scarf, but I still use my red paisley one as it works just the same. This is perfect for when you set your hair and you need to go out quickly, you can just put this on to hide your curls and no one will know!

1. The first step is quite similar to the other method, but instead of having the two tips meeting, you have the inner one shorter then the outside one, this is so you can bring the longer piece through when you are tying it up. I normally take mine from about 1/4 of an inch to about 3/4 inch, depending on if my hair is in rollers or just flat against my head.

2. The next step is putting it onto your head, you want the straight edge against the bottom of your head/neck. You then want to tie the two side parts like in the top one and bring the excess part of the scarf on top underneath where you have tied your two bits together. (Look at image to kind of understand what I mean, it sounds a lot harder then it really is!)
3. Now you need to bring that extra strip dangling down back up, and then again tie your two strips above the part you pulled back again. This will secure it in place and will make it look a bit more flush. And you are done - again if you want to secure it in place then you can use bobby pins, but this is up to you!

This or That Tag!

I was meant to have done this tag a little while back (woops) as my friend Stephanie from Stephanie Maverick tagged me to do it, so with a huge delay - HERE IT IS!

Make-up
Blush or Bronzer?
I am definitely more of a blusher sort of girl - I love having rosy cheeks as everyone says I just look cute and innocent when I have rosy cheeks (I did just say look, I am definitely not an innocent girl!)
Lipgloss or Lipstick?
Definitely has to be Lipstick! I am a lipstick addict! I wear it everyday and carry around 3 different lipsticks with me everyday (even for college) just in case I want to wear another one!
Liner or Mascara?
Hmm tough one - I really like using liner but if I used liner, I'd have to use mascara to do my eyelashes cause otherwise that would just look odd - so I'll say mascara.
Foundation or Concealer?
CONCEALER!!!!! I have major, MAJOR, issues with spots at the moment so concealer is the one to be!
Neutral Eyeshadow or Colour?
Colour all the way - I really like the colour to compliment the liner I use and the lipstick I'm wearing and the colour of my bandanna! Co-ordination is key!!!
Pressed or Loose Eyeshadow?
Pressed because I am such a messy person sometimes and manage to throw everything all over my self... Convenience is key with me.

Nails
O.P.I or China Glaze?
I'm going to say China Glaze because I've never actually used O.P.I.
Long or short nails?
Long nails, not too long but long enough. (Not like the ones that look fake).
Acrylic or Natural?
Natural all the way! Because the more you use acrylics, the more they damage your natural nails. I've spent ages getting my nails to how I like them so much now so I avoid acrylic nails as much as possible!
Bright’s or Darks?
Brights! I like to be bold and brash - and I always love my nails being painted red!
Flower or No Flower?
I love flowers so yes, flowers, always.

Body
Perfume or Body Splash?
Perfume, because as my band members say I'm a "rich bitch".
Lotion or Body butter?
Body butter because I love my cocoa body butter from Morrisons and my Satsuma Body Butter from Body Shop.
Body Wash or Soap?
Body Wash because I really love my Soap and Glory 'Foam Call' Body Wash!!
Lush or other bath companies?
I'm not a fussy little bunny at all but I'm currently super in love with Miss Patisserie Products!!

Fashion
Jeans or Sweat Pants?
I've recently started to face my fear of jeans again. I used to live in jeans about 2-3 years ago, but I stopped as soon as I had people commenting on my bum, which made me have a huge fear of people judging my figure. Until the last 3 weeks, I've been wearing jeans and had more people comment on how fabulous my figure actually is - Body Confidence and nice people can do so much for someone like me!
Long Sleeve or Short Sleeve?
Short sleeve because I always like adding a cardigan or a cute jacket! Accessories is key!
Dresses or Skirts?
Dresses all the way - because I have own over 30 dresses already and its forever going up!
Stripes or Plaid?
Stripes because I've wearing a lot of sort of Psychobilly outfits at the moment!
Flip Flops or Sandals?
Sandals because they are a little more stylish then flip flops, and I only wear flip flops when running errands and doing stuff round the house!
Scarves or Hats?
Hats - especially the 40's style hats which I'm really getting into and buying for when the winter comes and pairing them up with a pair of cute gloves!
Studs or Dangly Earrings?
Dangly earrings for glamour when I do photo shoots, but for everyday I prefer studs as they are more out the way (like when I go to work or college).
Necklaces or Bracelets?
Necklaces - I have a habit of constantly fiddling with bracelets, I don't know why, but Necklaces I just don't fiddle with!
Heels or Flats?
HEELS! Because I'm 5ft 5, and I just love how I walk wearing heels and it makes me feel more confident!
Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots?
I don't really wear either, but I'd probably choose Cowboy boots!
Jackets or Hoodies?
Jackets all the way baby!!
Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe?
Forever 21 because I just love me a good bargain!
Saks 5th or Nordstrom?
I've never shopped at either so I can't say - sorry!

Hair
Curly or Straight?
Curly because it makes me look so super cute and beautiful!
Bun or Ponytail?
Ponytail because I love being silly and constantly swinging it around haha!
Bobby Pins or Butterfly Clips?
Butterfly clips for when I do my cutesy looks, but I use bobby pins all the time for when I style my hair!
Hair Spray or Gel?
Hair spray, especially my Elenett one because I just love that Hair spray with my life!
Long or Short?
I like hair which is kind of in the middle where its long enough to put up but short enough to wear down - around shoulder length. So I'm gonna say long I think?
Light or Dark?
Hmm I don't really prefer either, cause each hair colour is different on each person but for me personally light, because dark hair washes me out due to my light skin tone.
Side Sweep or Full Bangs?
I have in fact have had both styles in my life - and currently I prefer full bangs!
Up or Down?
I like my hair in an up-do with some hair falling down so I'll say up!

Random
Rain or Shine?
Shine
Summer or Winter?
Summer
Fall or Spring?
Fall
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate (nom nom nom)

East Coast or West Coast?
East Coast - I love New York!!!

I am also thinking about doing a post on a little wedding log book of what my dream wedding is! I've been watching Don't Tell The Bride (BBC3) and Say Yes to the Dress (TLC) on television a lot and it's made me start dreaming.... I mean thinking about my own wedding when I'm older! So if you want to see the post then let me know, or I might just do it and see what people think!

ALSO - I am finally doing my most requested post of them all! I am doing my Rockabilly Transformation - how I go from looking like everyday to photo shoot ready with steps along the way with how you can achieve this super awesome look!

Lots of Love

OOTW: Retro & Relaxed

Okay so this weeks Outfit of the Week is called 'retro and relaxed'. I kinda gave it this name cause I have been super busy this weekend, as I've now gone back to work and I've been busy running errands that a dress just isn't suitable, especially in this (beautiful?) weather in the UK! (Yes, I am talking about the rain... *sigh*).

Red Rockabilly Paisley Bandana - Collectif  £2.50

Freddie Knitted Top (Candy Pink) - Collectif £34.50

Black Treggings - Peacocks £10

Pink Spot Messenger Bag - Anladia £16

Chunky Black Heels - Clarks £49.99

I have just done some simple retro make-up, using a pencil eyeliner instead of my liquid liner as I'm in a hurry in the morning! I love my Super Stay 24 hour lipstick as it lasts all day so I don't have to keep touching up! I have done basic winged eyeliner over the top of some natural shade of eyeshadow!

Love & Wishes to you all!

The 'Must Haves' and The 'Never Again's' - January 2013

Hello Again! Its been a while hasn't it?!

Well I know I'm 8 days late (my bad!) but I am now going to do my monthly products which I have bought this month and either love or hate! (Bare in mind my spelling may be terrible as I have just got home from doing a night shift at work!) Now I hate being a negative nelly but sometimes there is a product we have, and lets face it we all have at least one, that we would never buy or use again! Now as a side note, I would like to add that January for me as a beauty month has mainly been about hair styling so just be warned!

Must Haves!

1.  BaByliss Pro-Curl Curling Tongs.

Now I have become very bored with my straight hair with the ends deciding they want to flick out making me look like Miss Hoolie from Balamory, so I decided I would finally purchase some curling tongs after I had been using my mum's old curling tongs she had from the 1980's! (Which were just a cheap pair, but have lasted so long until the ceramic finally started to wear!) Now these arrived on the 26th January and I've only just got round to using them as I have been so super busy at work!  And the results made me so happy; I acheived the big bouncy flawless curls I had desired and much more! I bought these from a friend who decided she didn't need them after cutting her hair very short and sold me them for £5.00 but you lovely lot can buy these for £18.49 in Boots. In the images below is my hair after I curled it this morning!

The curls have a good bounce and last for ages without becoming flat. Now I usually add the Tresemmé Professional Firm Hold Hairspray but I decided for once I wouldn't and see how long my curls would last. Right now they are still bouncy and full of curly life! (Shown in the image on the left!).

2. Peacocks Hair Bun 'Donut'

Now I know I am seriously late with this craze but hey, I like doing things late! But I saw this in the sale section in the clothing shop Peacock's. Now I have a lovely friend who works in Peacocks and actually went into the store room to see if there was any blonde ones left... and to my luck THERE WAS! Now I got this for the super cheap price of 99p but you can buy these from Boots or Superdrug from around £1.99-£3.99 in either Blonde, Black or Brown, depending on your hair colour! I got a small blonde donut because my hair is still only shoulder length (sigh...) but I will purchase a new one once my hair has grown to a sufficient length!

3. No.7 Day and Night Moisturising Creams (test pots)

I bought these as tester pots as part of my huge Boots Haul from the No.7 Stand. Now when it comes to Moisturisers I am very fussy! My skin is very sensitive so I can easily come up in a rash when using these products! I started using these about 3 weeks ago now and I adore them, I will definitely be purchasing these again in the future! These make your skin feel very silk like and I usually put these on after I have done my spot treatments on, which usually tend to make your skin feel taut and dry, but these make your skin silky and refreshed... No.7 you've done it again! You can purchase these from Boots; The Day Cream costs £9.00 and The Night Cream costs just a tad more at £9.95! Seriously Girls, these are fantastic on your skin, definitely worth it!

4. Mavala Nail Polish

Now I am a huge fan of the Mavala Nail Polishes. You can buy these in Lloyds Pharmacy for about £3-£4... Even though they are dearer then some other nail polishes, the finish and feel of these are just fabulous! I currently have these in 71 La Paz (Hot Pink), 153 Lagoon (a greeny-blue colour) and in Touch of Provence (Lilac). The consistency of the nail polish appears very thick, but once applied onto your nails becomes very thin, I usually apply about 3-4 layers depending if I am putting anything on top of my nails, then I usually only apply 3 coats. I currently use my Lagoon polish with my Barry M Aqua Glitter Polish as they work so perfectly together! I can usually wear these nail polishes for around 2 weeks without even chipping them! You get a high gloss finish to make your nails just perfect!

5. Victoria Jackson Make-Up Set

I bought this absolutely amazing make-up set when I went up to Westfield in London back in January! They had a small little stand in the train station and I just had to have a little nosey, and I am so glad I did! This make-up is high quality and just feels so light on your skin! In my set which I got for £50.00 was a VJ Mascara, VJ Terra Glow Bronzing Powder, VJ 24/7 Makeover Portfolio Sunrise & Sunset Colour Kit, a VJ Blush Brush and a little Beauty Tips booklet! I use the mascara every single day and I need to purchase some more very very soon! The mascara doesn't cause your eyelashes to clump if you put more mascara on! The eyelashes are equally feathered out and also make your eye lashes actually look longer! The booklet taught me so many tips that I never even knew myself! If you need any tips, even on how to apply your blusher then this booklet has it all; it has 5 little sections which include the eyes, foundation eyebrows blush and lips. The bronzing powder is a warm golden colour, nothing to make me look orange either! Sometimes when I buy bronzing products, they make me look like an oompa loompa, and that's even when I buy the lightest colour!
In the colour kit pods you get a tri-colour of eyeshadows, 2 blush's (one which is your skintone which is the day perfecting blush - in the day kit; the other is for adding colour to your cheeks) and 2 lip gloss swatches. Happy is an understatement! These are the perfect size to fit in your handbag too! If you want to find out more products then please have a look at the Victoria Jackson website; www.vmakeup.com/

6. Simple Cleansing Make-Up Wipes

Every person should own some of these amazing wipes! Now, I am probably over-hyping a very simple and typical product, but, I adore Simple cosmetics! I have never had a bad experience with any of their products! They make your skin feel lovely even after you have had make-up on all day! Your skin feels refreshed and vibrant! You get 25 wipes in a pack, but I always buy these in a bulk! You can buy them at any drug store or even supermarkets in the health and beauty section! I buy mine in Morrisons for £1.99, join me in some Simple lovelyness!!

Not Sure Yet!

BaByliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers

Okay, so as you may know I have begun to get very bored of my straight blonde locks and decided I want to add some waves and curls in without permanently damaging my hair by getting is permed! So I went into Boots (again during my haul!) and found these bad boys! I bought these for £29.99 and got a 'Stay Set' lotion free with it! I used these rollers, as advised on damp hair, (not wet!) now bare in mind I have never used rollers before let alone heated rollers, my mum said it was easy as she used them a lot when she was younger, so I thought the hell of it I'll have a go! Now, I have only used this once, and I did exactly what the little booklet said I should do, the results for me, were personally very disappointing. I used all the rollers in my hair, not putting too much into one roller either and throughout my whole hair only got 2 full curls. These just made my hair flick out at the end with a small twists, no 'bouncy and flawless curls' here. I adore BaByliss products, and I definitely wont give up on these until I'm happy or know I will never achieve anything from these (please comment below if you have these and your experiences with any rollers/heated rollers and your tips for little old me!). The battle has not been won yet heated rollers!

Never Agains!

1. Stay Set Setting Lotion

Okay, so I got this product for free when I bought my BaByliss Rollers from Boots, and I'm sad to say this product has caused me absolute hell! I will never ever purchase this again! Okay, I put this in my hair the other week when plating my hair; I followed the directions and putting this on after I had washed my hair, my hair being damp then to wet the hair with this product... When I first put the product on, all I could smell was chemicals dripping out of my hair, and yes I know this is a chemically based product, however most companies try to hide that and give it a nice perfumed smell. After around 5 minutes and I had towel dried my hair, my head began to feel very itchy and my skin on my scalp, around the back of my neck, and on the hair line on my forehead. Now, I have taken photos, however I will not show them to you as they were honestly ghastly! However, I have now returned this product to Boots, and not too much of a loss to myself. Maybe I just had a bad experience, I'm not sure but I will definitely not buy this product again! If you wish to buy this you can buy this from Boots for around £2.29.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume

I love Batiste's Dry Shampoo range, I think they are fantastic when you have to rush out the house and don't have time to wash your hair. However, I purchased the Batiste 'Big &Bouncy XXL Volume' shampoo and how I was disappointed. Batiste products I have used in the past, (and I hvae used about at least 4 different types of the range) have been amazing, they have made my hair feel refreshed, just like it had been washed and that it was full of life, it made my hair feel smooth and easy to brush through, no knots what-so-ever! But, with the XXL Volume, all my amazing experiences in the past were shadowed by this. I used a quick spray of this dry shampoo before dashing off to work. My hair was knotty, I couldn't easily brush my hair either. 'Big & Bouncy'? No, for me more like  'Knotty as Hell'. I was hugely upset with this product. Batiste is a hair product I use a lot of, especially with my crazy work life, and I have so much faith in their products and they usually make me very happy with the finished outcome. Another thing that annoyed me about this product is that it should give your hair 'volume' if anything my hair felt less volumized once I had used the product. My hair become flat, and as said before knotted. I will definitely be purchasing my blonde Batiste Dry Shampoo again, but the XXL Volume I shall not! Sorry Batiste!

Product of the Month

Dove Body Wash

I love Dove as a company, and I love their advertising techniques for real beauty and real women (Dove Beauty Evolution Video and Dove Real Beauty) however I sadly regret and hate to say it but I had an allergic reaction to several Dove products I have used... facial creams, body wash, deodorants and many more. I love Dove and think they are outstanding, but for me I can't use their products, HOWEVER, I think you should all use a Dove product (only if you aren't allergic like me!) Dove are a company who think every and any women no matter what you look like is beautiful and honestly Dove have hit it on the nail! They send out the right message to every one across the world. Well Done Dove!!

And now we have come to the end! I am sorry that this is late, I have been super busy, but I will definitely get back on track with my blogging from now on!

Much Love You Beauties

Anladia Hot Pink Messenger Bag

Okay so this week I decided I needed a new handbag! I have quite a few but decided I needed a multi functioning bag! So on I went onto the beautiful world of the Internet and found a company called Anladia. On this website they have various things including; Hats, Bags, Clothing, Make-up etc. So as I browsed through all the bags on their website (some which I really liked some which I didn't) and came across the 'Oilcloth Polka Dots Body Messenger Saddle' bag in Hot Pink. I did have the dilemma of whether to get this bag in either a Sage or Hot Pink. After a debate with my mum to help me decide, I bought the bag in Hot Pink. The bag which I ordered on the 15th January arrived this morning (the 18th), with the bag in a protective vanity bag.  The bag is much more like a small handbag then it is a big satchel bag i.e not the sort of bag you would use to carry your college books around in, as the bag is a bit smaller in size. However, in this bag there are lots of little pockets all on the inside and out. As you can see from the picture on the upper right I already have my diary and also popped some lip products such as Vaseline and Maybelline Lip Gloss into my bag! Behind my cute spotty diary there is another little zip which is perfect for putting keys in (and yes keys with lots of Key chains  as well as a pen and maybe some loose change! On the front of the bag there is 2 pockets which are perfect for little bits and bobs. The quality of this bag is fantastic, the oilcloth material means that this bag is waterproof as well so perfect for the unpredictable UK weather! In this bag you still get the typical 3 pockets on the inside where you have a phone pouch and a nice long pouch or in this case 2 for change and odd bits! In the picture on the lower left you can see the back of the bag, there is yet another zip! Fab! This makes me so happy, 'cause I love bags with zips on the back, for me I usually tend to put my phone in this part
as its nearest my body and I usually have this bit tucked up on the side of me! Another great feature about this bag is the leather buckles on the front of the bag. These are so easy to use with this bag as on the front 2 pouches of the bag there is some poppers which secure the buckles down to close the bag, however, for an added security feature on this bag you can actually zip up the main compartment of this bag, so there is no worries if you are walking down a busy and crowded high street! Another handy feature with this bag that I usually find a very common negative with most other bag's I purchase is that the strap doesn't constantly fall off your shoulder if you are walking very briskly! The strap is a shade of beige which compliments the brown on the leather buckles on the front of the bag. The strap is adjustable as well and is very easy to adjust! On the outside of the bag there is also 2 open pockets on the side, I never usually tend to use these outside pockets as they make anything in them very visible to everyone, and I usually just ignore them as part of a feature on a bag. This bag is definitely my favourite as of now, its made of such a good quality and I'm sure that I will have this bag for a long time to come! I bought the bag for €18.75 plus €2.00 for shipping which converted equals to about  £17.71 including shipping! I myself see this bag as a bargain! Honestly, if you are looking for a messenger type or satchel bag them this one is for you! On the Anladia site they have various different colours for this bag, and you may also be able to get the bag in a pattern too!
