OOTW; The Christmas Edition '14

Well, its Christmas Eve! Which means today's OOTW is going to be what I'm wearing over the next 24 hours... and the last OOTW of 2014! I normally go super super elaborate at Christmas, with a gorgeous dress; which I did actually purchase. But sadly after feeling a little bit low emotionally the past few days I went and bought a more casual comforting outfit to try and make me feel a little more 'cuddled'. (Silly I know, but its the little things).

I do feel a little upset and let down that I feel so low at this time of year, seeing as I've been so excited for Christmas since November but alas that is life sadly!

Oh I Wish It Could Be Christmas... Everyday!

So as I said, its very casual this year, unusual for me, but I just honestly don't feel in the mood. People should be glad I'm even making an effort to put make-up on if I'm honest!

My hair is very simple, just up in a bun using a large hair donut and added a cute bow for some cuteness.

I also painted my nails (sorry for the messy edges I literally just painted them and hadn't cleaned them up yet!). I used a matte varnish for the first time ever. I used the Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Shade ' Crush' number 441 - its mix between a deep purple/plum and a rich burgundy, I can't really decide. But I'm very impressed and this is my absolute favourite shade right now!

I did in fact wear this to a meeting I had in London at a very posh/high end company/business and I did get the looks a lot, but mainly because of how young I was I think! My hold-ups managed to withstand the whole 13 hour day too, so I was very impressed with that!

I chose this particular outfit because I know in the books, Christian is always banging on about Ana wearing dresses/skirts which may be a little too short - and I find with this dress, it just sits on the boundary of too short ever so slightly, as we know Ana likes to test Christian a lot in the books! As said above, I did attract a lot of attention in this outfit, mainly because of the effect I had on the staff i the building with my age and such, but I had a lot of compliments from the lovely ladies on reception who made me feel very welcome! Ideally I'd imagine Ana would wear this when she goes to work or maybe when she goes to Christian's parents house for his birthday possibly. It kind of has the multi-wear factor - as Ana dresses quite smart when she is with Christian, what with his high standards an all... For my make-up I wanted a very simple look, as Ana tends not to wear much make-up. I went for a light smokey eye look, mainly using champagne colours on the lids on my eyes and didn't add any eyeliner just a few strokes of mascara. My hair again was simple yet elegant in a simple back combed bun, for that relaxed look so as not too look too stiff and still friendly - a bit like Ana!

I just super love everything about this adorable outfit! You can also add a white cardigan over your shoulders if it becomes a little chilly or if there's a bit of a spring breeze! I'm totally enjoying this sunny weather we are having, it makes little old me so happy and cheerful and I just love to twirl around in pretty skirts in the summer!

This outfit is super light, and perfect for when we get some really hot weather, you could wear a petticoat with this skirt, but sometimes I prefer to wear it without (like above) because the skirt has such a lovely fit as it is!

My make-up is super plain today I've just got a thin winged eyeliner on its own, with foundation and a lip gloss I haven't used in what feels like forever! I've used the Mary Kay Nourishine Plus lip gloss in shade Beach Bronze as its super subtle but has a gorgeous shimmer to it! (You can buy it here!)

Blogmas Day 4 OOTW: Retro Party Present!

This is just a simple little party look I've put together, I super love black dress' for going out just because they can go with anything. With this outfit I've gone for a 'present' sort of theme with all the little bows!

 I super love this one shoulder batwing dress, and I don't normally wear dresses this short, but it doesn't look too bad!

For my makeup I did my usual winged eyeliner with mascara and my lips I used my Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip liner in Black Tulip with my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 107, this is a very berry/plum tone lipstick thats perfect for winter. I thought I would add the Beauxoxo bow to run along with the present theme too, it just adds that cute little touch!

I bought some cute little bows at Pets at Home for £3 - Freddie refuses to wear anything but his collar but Alice is the opposite! Doesn't she just look so cute?! We are both matching with our bows!

Apologies & Life Update!

I am so super sorry for the lack of posts since last Wednesday  I know I promised you another tag post however I had to do some really last minute shopping (which I'll explain below). I will try and keep to my normal schedule but for now please bare with me with uploading posts as I have some major news that has happened and its taking up all my time. 

LIFE UPDATE!!!!!!!!

As many of you know, that have been following my blog, my twitter or my Facebook that I have been looking at getting another dog - and here she finally is! Her name is Alice and she is a Black Labradoodle! (For those who don't know a Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador and a Poodle). We had a phone call Friday night saying if we would like to come to the Emergency Kennels and come and meet her to decide if we wanted to adopt her. We visited on Saturday afternoon after dropping my brother off at school for respite and we picked my dog up and went to Chessington, near London. Alice was in the run where we were introduced to her and she met Freddie - they got on really well! We asked if we could take her for a walk, and they said we could. She was really good and actually walked better when walking with Freddie then on her own.  Alice is around 1 year old and is really jumpy and playful at the moment. Alice has actually come over from Dublin, Ireland after being left and mistreated by her former home. We are finding out something new about Alice everyday (and she's learning something new too...) - for the next few weeks my blog posts will be a bit on the slow side because I am having to train Alice from scratch as she isn't house trained and she didn't even know the command 'sit'. Alice's story is not a one of a kind, many dogs have been mistreated and have a similar story - Alice now has a loving (and relatively calm) home where she will be given lots of love and cuddles with her brother Freddie!

My OOTW will be up tomorrow as I already have this pre-planned!

OOTW; Angelic Autumn!

Its getting near my absolute favourite and beautiful time of the year! I absolutely adore autumn! I love when the leaves turn to beautiful shades of orange, yellow, red, auburn... When I'm older I'd love to have a wedding in the Autumn - it'd be oh so perfect! I absolutely adore this outfit, generally because its still summery but still warm enough as the days are starting to get a bit more chilly now the Summer is behind us...

I decided to just go with a simple sort of cute look for this outfit. Nothing to complex, just 2 little plaits at the front of my hair clipped at the back with a hair daisy to just polish it off. My make-up is also super simple - Foundation and face powder for coverage, and I just used my Natural Collection Eyeshadow in 'Candyfloss' which is a baby pink and just blended it in and added mascara to my eyelashes. My nails are painted in the Barry M shade 'Prickly Pear' and Silver Glitter Polish - I just wanted to add a simple little statement with the lilac to compliment the red on the skirt!

Weekly Overivew; 8th September!

Sorry my post is so late tonight! But I had a home inspection today for adopting a dog... AND WE PASSED! I'm so super happy and excited and it means we can go on to the next step now!

I finally got my damn hair cut! Also have
a shorter fringe too! I haven't got the guts
for Betty Bangs yet!

Today I did lots of cleaning and sorted out all the clothes I no longer need! I also only have 2 items left for sale on all my ebay and blog shop stuff so make sure to keep an eye out for that!

Monday I need to do a huge haul in WH Smith for stuff for college, as I'm being super organised this year (and my pencil case which I've had for 7 years broke too!) Afterwards I'm going to pets at home to pick up some new skin cream for my dogs nose and also some Flealine and more biscuits, treats and dog bath shampoo!

Tuesday Is my first day back at college... Super scary stuff! I'm at college from 10.40 till 5 (hence why I changed my OOTW to Wednesdays as I won't get home till gone 7 o'clock!). I have Tutor, Media and Health and Social... I'd like to say I'm excited but that feeling is soon surpassed by my nerves...

Wednesday I get one day back at college and then a day off! How fab! I get every Wednesday off which makes me really happy! Means I can catch up on all my work. Also means I get a day away from college. I'm probably going to do some English Language revision because I really love English and want to work hard!

Thursday I'm at college from 10.40 till 3.20. *Sigh* Oh well work must be done!

Friday I have to get up at 5am... oh the sweet lord. How I will manage doing half decent make-up at that time will amaze me. Hopefully it doesn't rain either! I have a nearly 4 hour break today... The worst break I have during my whole college week. Oh well at least I can get lots of work done!

Saturday I am going to Bournemouth for my first football match this season! I follow Blackpool FC, I've supported them since I was a baby (yes I do have proof!). I'm hoping for a win!

Instead of doing my normal thin winged eyeliner, I had my eye-liner done in thick wings, and I actually super liked this look! It was also much easier to achieve then doing thin winged eye-liner generally because the amount you apply on is on a much bigger surface! I'm also wearing my Barry M red lipstick which I got for my birthday (this also has amazing coverage as its cover up the cold-saw on my cupids bow on my lips... Ouch!)

OOTW; Curvy Collectif!

As I mentioned in my weekly overview on Sunday that today I would be meeting some of the lovely people who follow and support my band, we sat in Costa for around 2 hours with lots of coffee's and coolers, and had a lovely chat! We then went for lunch and after lunch we went to the park and did a little sing song and people passing also stopped to have a listen! My outfit today is a cute 'Collectif' look, and I bought both these items in their Hot 50 Sale at the end of July!

For my make-up, instead of doing my normal black winged eye liner, I used a glitter liquid liner and just did exactly the same style as normal and touching up my eyes with mascara, on my lips I have used the Seventeen lipstick in shade 'Hollywood', I'm really sad as this lipstick just broke on me one day, but the colour of this is really beautiful! For my hair, I did a loose low pony tail at the back of my neck, and then folded this in on its self, to create this simple look; its good because its not meant to look perfect or tidy! You can finish off your hair with a hair flower!

For my nails, I have painted them in the Barry M nail polish in shade 'Peach Melba' which is absolutely cute! For my shoes I am also wearing my new flat shoes I bought from Clarks! After breaking my 2 toes I realised I should buy some proper shoes instead of cheap £10 ones all the time which gives my foot no support what so ever! I chose to get this in patent instead of the matte shoes generally because patent looks a little more finished and prettier then the boring matte ones (plus they are easier to clean!).

Weekly Overview; 21st July

First of all I want to apologise for my absence of not posting since Tuesday, I've had a pretty horrendous week. I've now also come to the conclusion that ever since turning 18, everything has turned to absolute crap. I've been 18 for 8 days and I already want to be a child again. I've also broken 2 of my toes, which I'm in loads of pain with (amazingly enough I didn't think it would hurt that bad. Damn I was wrong). Anyway, moving onto a hopefully better week. (I wish).

Today: Well I'm mean't to be resting my foot with elevating it and with a cold compress, however I've ended up mowing the lawn and doing loads of things and being in pain.

Monday I have a night shift from 9pm-6am (tuesday morning) so the day is mostly resting and doing paperwork and looking at moving banks and looking at dresses I cant quite afford.

Tuesday Work all day from 9am-3pm and then home to cook my dinner and again do more paperwork and lots of phone calls.

Wednesday I've managed to bring my holiday earlier so today is my last day at work until the 2nd of September! So its just a relaxing day and I finish at 1pm, then I'll be going for lunch with a load of my colleagues to celebrate summer before we don't see each other for around 5-6 weeks!

Thursday My first day of my holiday, god knows what I'm going to be doing, just waiting for people to ask me to meet up etc!

Friday Pretty much the same as Thursday, not sure what I'm going to be doing however, I have band practice in the afternoon, so I may just be doing singing practice.

Saturday I've no idea what I'm going to be doing, its all just going to be relaxing unless people want to meet up with me!

I will be making up for not posting on friday on Monday, with 2 posts, one is the MoneySupermarket compeition and the other is my Summer To-Do List/Challenge! So keep an eye out for a double wammy tomorrow!

I also now have no excuse for delaying doing my youtube which I will start this week, I absolutely promise!!

I thought I'd wear a petticoat today with my skirt just to give it a more poofy look.

Quick Picture Post!

Seeing that my family have a tradition of always bringing the baby pictures out at birthday's, I thought I'd share some baby pictures of me when I was younger with you! 

You can see by the pictures a smell fraction of my childhood, which comes to an end tomorrow. The first picture is off me at around 1-2 years old wearing a Blackpool FC shirt and hat with a skater skirt (Yup, I had real fashion back in them days!), the second picture, I'm 2, just going on 3, as this was before my brother was born, I am in fact crying in this picture (someone didn't have a nap that day...). The third picture is of me at my Aunt's house playing the piano, I was around 5 at this time, and thought that my artistic ability would flourish playing the piano while wearing roller blades... The fourth picture is me at my 6th birthday with a cake (we still taunt my mum with this cake), it was in fact meant to be a fairy, however we joke my mum call it the 'slutty fairy' as my mum did the make-up a little too heavy on the fairy's face! The fifth picture is of me back in around Year 3 at school, and typically at the Christmas plays, I was an angel, anyone can guess why... Cause of how blonde my hair was (and obviously because I looked so angelic).

OOTW: Creative for College

Okay, so yesterday I went back to college for my transition weeks before going back to college full time in September, and after finding out my college had completely screwed up my timetable, I then had to wait for my friend to come in to keep me company for 2 hours!  Now, my week has completely changed, and I am so busy and tired I am writing this before my nap. However, I managed to take some photos of my outfit yesterday before heading back out to go and do a night shift at work! (Sidenote - I don't particularly look great in this photo so apologies!).

Again, I've just gone with my every day rockabilly make-up look with the winged eyeliner and wearing the Seventeen 'Hot Chilli' Lipstick. On the right is a picture of my beautiful Strawberry Pumps, which I can't seem to find anything similar too! The satchel is lovely and I bought this in the biggest size, but still struggle to close it... And one of the buckles doesn't work to button it close. However, I just can't part with this bag, but need a new (bigger) bag for when I go back in September so please give me your suggestions of some new bags, that aren't too expensive but super practical I'd be super appreciative! I also decided I curl my hair into big ringlets as I need to buy some new rollers for my hair, as my other ones were all kind of thrown out by my dad by accident! I curled these with the Babyliss curling iron featured in this post (here). I usually hold my curl in the iron for about a minute and spray it before I curl it with heat and after its just come out of the iron.

Weekly Overview (June 2nd)!

Since I fell ill this week, I had to cut my hours down at work as I have to be super careful with the children I work with. So instead I ended up doing a photoshoot with my lovely friend Eddie for his recent project. Since it was half term though, I got paid extra to work so I am still okay financially (for now!). So, whats for the week to come? 

Today: With having some serious throat strain earlier this week, my band and myself have arranged a day of just rehearsing our new songs and just a little jam. However, we are also going for a 'band outing' to the garden centre to have a little nosy! After I'll probably just come home and relax and look at updating my Sky TV Subscription in my room *sigh*.

Monday: Today I am at work again, I have lots of appointments in the clinic department of my work so I will be drinking a lot of coffee and seeing a lot of students with their parents and carers! I have 3 annual reviews today, and I also have to help with my own brothers botox injections in his legs (oh fun). I finish work at 2 and get to come home and cook my dinner and relax in my room again, and maybe do some browsing on some blogs! Tuesday: Another morning spent at work working in the clinic again (its that time of year!) However I finish at 11.30! This is my last week before going back to college where my hours will drop again and I will be working weekends and nights a lot more! After I get home I will do some blogging, before going to my singing lesson to try and sort my voice/throat out again! 

Wednesday: I am working in the multi-sensory room again today, until 12.30 but then I will be meeting some royalty who are paying a visit to my work! I will be meeting alongside with the colleagues and students at my work, the Duchess of Gloucester (Patron of the school) and the Duchess of Cornwall! (How exciting!!!). After, I will probably come home, and cut the lawn and ring Sky up before doing some singing practice at home and then going to band practice! 

Thursday: I get a lay in!! ... Well until 9.30 and then I have to go to work for 3 o'clock till 7 and then I will go out for a meal with my colleague Esther and then come home and watch Psychobitches on Sky Arts!

Friday: Day off to get things ready for college again! Today I will be spending my day in my room songwriting, bag sorting and sorting out lots of blog posts and stuff for you all! Ah gosh! 

Saturday: Thankfully I am only on-call this weekend but there is still a good chance I can get some rest! Hopefully, this Saturday I will be helping my family with things to do round the house and hopefully I will be going to speedway with my good friend Charlie! Lets hope I don't get called off to work!

See you next week for my next weekly update! I doubt it will be as interesting as I go back to college however I will try and get some fun things to do in!!

Scaffold/Industrial Bar Piercing!

Today I was asked about how I care for my piercings and how long I've had them and how long they took to heal... I don't have a tonne of piercings, and I don't have any tattoo's (yet)...

So lets start with my lobe piercings! I have 2 lobe piercings, which I love very much and have a lot of fun with different pairings of earrings! 

My bottom lobe (the pink earring) I got when I was 7, and I have never ever had any infections with them!! I got mine done at a local hairdresser/piercing salon, and got them done for £10. I had gold studs at first, and I only kept them in for 6 weeks instead of 12, however my ears healed super early! When I first got these done I used tap water in a cup using the cotton q-tips and turned them every day to avoid any crusty stuff round my ears as they healed! At 6 weeks I changed my studs, and since I have never had a problem! 

Now onto my second lobe (the blue earring), I have had the opposite of what I had with my first lobe! Getting these done was absolutely hellish. I got these when I was in year 7 at school so I was about 11 years old. I went to my local hairdressers, and she said she would do them for me, relatively cheap, so she should me all the proper things, like her certificate to pierce etc. And everything was fine, got my ear's pierced, but this time, instead of after a couple of hours of my ears feeling hot and then cooling down and just being a bit sore, I had them sore and my earrings relatively hot for about a week, so I went down the doctors, and quoting my lovely doctor, "there is a good chance your ear is infected cause the piercing gun or earrings weren't sterilised or cleaned properly". I do occasionally still get infections in my 2nd lobes, but they are generally pretty good now, seeing as I clean them with a product I import from America called H2Ocean - I absolutely swear by this stuff! It has done magic on my ears!

Now onto my scaffold/industrial bar; I have wanted this piercing for absolutely years! Since I was about 12, however I finally got this done in February 2012 with my friends in Eastbourne! It took just under a year for mine to heal, I was told to leave my bar the same for 6 months and then change it, however, me being super impatient I changed it after 2 and a half months, and it was fine until it got infected. I became hot and sore to touch, so me being the person constantly reluctant to visit the doctors, I actually used my H2Ocean spray, which worked WONDERS! My infection cleared after a week and I've never had a problem since with it! I now change my bars all the time, and my corkscrew bar (the one in the picture) has to be my favourite!

I buy my studs from all sorts of place such as Claire's, Primark, New Look, shops online etc! And I buy a lot of my scaffold barbells either online or a piercing shop called Tizz's in Lewes, which is near Brighton! I bought my H2Ocean spray from Amazon for £9.99, which you can buy here. I still use my H2Ocean spray just to keep my ears and earrings sterile and clean!

OOTW: Retro & Relaxed

Okay so this weeks Outfit of the Week is called 'retro and relaxed'. I kinda gave it this name cause I have been super busy this weekend, as I've now gone back to work and I've been busy running errands that a dress just isn't suitable, especially in this (beautiful?) weather in the UK! (Yes, I am talking about the rain... *sigh*).

I have just done some simple retro make-up, using a pencil eyeliner instead of my liquid liner as I'm in a hurry in the morning! I love my Super Stay 24 hour lipstick as it lasts all day so I don't have to keep touching up! I have done basic winged eyeliner over the top of some natural shade of eyeshadow!
