OOTW; We Aim To Please, Mr Grey...

So after Saturday's book review I had a fair few emails asking me if I could do an OOTW based on Anastasia from Fifty Shades. So here is a take of one of the smarter outfits which  I'd imagine she'd wear/I'd wear if I were her...

Underwear
Black lace underwear set, Peacocks Size 18-20 - £14 (Similar here)
(Includes bra/vest shaper with a thong)

Nude Hold-Ups, M&S size XL - £5

Outfit

Black Peplum Dress, Peacocks size 20 - £14

Black Knit Cardigan, Peacocks size 18 - £12

Leopard Print Belt, New Look - £3.50

Black Suede Court Heels, Next - £25

Face
- Collection 2000 Concealer in Light
- 2True Concealer in shade 1
- Collection 2000 Foundation in Light
- Natural Collection Face Powder in Neutral
- Victoria Jackson 24/7 Makeover Portfolio palette (Using the Neutrel Baby Pink and Gold Dust Champagne shadows over the lid and the Coffee Brown Champagne in the crease)

- Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
- Barry M clear lip gloss

Hair is in a simple back combed side bun.

I did in fact wear this to a meeting I had in London at a very posh/high end company/business and I did get the looks a lot, but mainly because of how young I was I think! My hold-ups managed to withstand the whole 13 hour day too, so I was very impressed with that!

I chose this particular outfit because I know in the books, Christian is always banging on about Ana wearing dresses/skirts which may be a little too short - and I find with this dress, it just sits on the boundary of too short ever so slightly, as we know Ana likes to test Christian a lot in the books! As said above, I did attract a lot of attention in this outfit, mainly because of the effect I had on the staff i the building with my age and such, but I had a lot of compliments from the lovely ladies on reception who made me feel very welcome! Ideally I'd imagine Ana would wear this when she goes to work or maybe when she goes to Christian's parents house for his birthday possibly. It kind of has the multi-wear factor - as Ana dresses quite smart when she is with Christian, what with his high standards an all... For my make-up I wanted a very simple look, as Ana tends not to wear much make-up. I went for a light smokey eye look, mainly using champagne colours on the lids on my eyes and didn't add any eyeliner just a few strokes of mascara. My hair again was simple yet elegant in a simple back combed bun, for that relaxed look so as not too look too stiff and still friendly - a bit like Ana!

Well I hope you liked this little take on a Ana Fifty Shades outfit!

OOTW; Coral

So yesterday I popped to town, and my local Peacocks shop had a half price mid-summer sale! Happy Days! So I got a top, which is loose and baggy because of the hot weather, but I also got this rather beautiful dress!

Coral Peter Pan Dress, Peacocks - £16 (£8 on Sale)

Black Waist Belt, New Look - £2.99

Coral Bow Head Band, New Look - £5

Red and White Becca Bag, Collectif - £35

White Bow Wedges, Simply Be - £35
This outfit is simple, but really lovely and light for the heat we are having right now! My make-up is also just a little bit of white and 2 pink eyeshadows blended together with mascara and a tinted moisturiser which has SPF 15 in it too. Its just a little too hot for make-up and wearing lots of heavy clothing!
I just kept the whole outfit simple and effective, its perfect for strolling round the shops and also perfect for a business meeting, this dress is perfect for a number of different situations and definitely a good buy!

Hope you have a fab day my lovelies!

Lots of Love

V is for Victory Rolls! - Tutorial

Okay so this is something I've only really just started doing myself, I've always been kind of 'scared' of doing victory rolls, just because they looked super complicated and I'm absolutely useless with my hair (and my hair never wants to do anything I want it to do!). You'll have to excuse how messy they are, I did kind of do them really quickly as I've had a tonne of English assignment work to do for college and its important that I got that done first!

However, I've been asked by a few people on how I do my victory rolls... Please bare in mind I've watched a tonne of YouTube videos, read many blog posts and even asked someone who does them everyday for tips on how to do mine simply and perfectly.

What You'll Need!
Hairbrush
Hairspray
Rat tail comb
Lots of Bobby Pins/Grips
Bows (optional)

Step 1 Section your Hair Using your thumbeand first finger you want to section off the hair you want to put into a roll. Put your thumb by the top of your ear, your finger at the top centre of your forehead and scoop the hair into your hands. The picture on the right demonstrates what I mean if it sounded super complicated!

Step 2 Back comb This step is super important and you MUST do this properly, for a neat and tidy roll. Using your rat tail comb, back comb the back of the hair, but back comb to the point the hair stands up on its own, back-combing gives the roll its thickness and the sturdiness for it to stay standing - just like mine on the left. This step is crucial!!

Step 3 Time to Roll Now you are going to roll the hair, take the ends of your hair and make sure they all come together nicely. Now if you struggle with putting your hair into a roll then you can use curlers/straighteners to just curl the ends of your hair. Now you have to decide whether your rolls will be in the centre or just off to the side, and then roll your hair into place. Take a pin and secure it down (don't worry if hairs are sticking out a little and the hole in the roll isn't there, we will fix this in a few steps!). I normally use two pins and make sure they cross over each other, one being put in from the front the other from the back and make sure its super secure.

Step 4 Secure Adjust & Spray Now you want to hairspray your roll, I normally spray mine from the back so the front stays nice and polished and neat. Now is when you can sort out the problems, using a rat rail just go round in a circular motion in the middle of your roll, this will help make the hole visible and will push your hair up into the rest of the roll, using hair spray to make it damp inside so that the hair will lay amongst the roll.

Step 5 The Sides The sides of my hair normally like to be naughty and poof out, so I normally use either spray or wax just to flatten them down and make sure they don't move, if using wax make sure you warm it up a lot in your hands and then going from the bottom (near your ears) pushing up towards the roll to make it stay.

Step 6 Repeat the steps on the other side. Once you have done this hair style a couple of times you get better and quicker at it. Maybe try doing it a few times when staying in the house just so you can practice!

Step 7 Final spray of hairspray from a distance and you are done. If you want you can add a bow in the middle like I do, just for that little cute effect!

I know mine don't look fantastic in this picture but check out first OOTW of 2014 (here) and you can see them done properly and neatly!

Well I hope this was helpful for you! I tried my best at making it as simple as possible!

Lots of Hugs

Blogmas Day 17: Emma Bakes Simple Shortbread!

Today's video is a baking tutorial! I have never ever done a baking video or tutorial video on my YouTube before so I thought I would! I also have the recipe below if you want to try and make the Shortbread yourself! This is pretty much fool proof - not even I could screw it up and I'm really not a baking pro!

RECIPE:
100g of Butter
100g of Plain Flour
50g or Caster Sugar
50g Semolina

1. Put your oven on 160C (lower if you have a fan oven). Blitz in a food process of bring all the ingredients together in a bowl using your hands (Don't forget to scrub them!!)

2. Roll out your dough onto a floured work surface and choose your cookie cutters. You want your dough about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and then cut with your cutters.

3. Then get a tray with greaseproof paper to put your shortbread on and bake for 20-25 minutes.

4. Leave to cool and then sprinkle sugar on top and transfer to a wire rack.

5. Voila - its time to eat!

ONLY 8 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!

Blogmas Day 10: Make-Up; Retro Christmas

Okay so I thought I'd do a simple retro style Christmas themed make-up today - its super simple and easy to achieve so nothing too complicated!

I used my new Scandaleyes Mascara, my big eyeshadow palette using the Shimmery Gold, Pine Green Shimmer and Ruby Red eyeshadow. I also use my Rimmel 'Glam Ice' white eyeshadow as a base! I use my Victoria Jackson eyeliner in black, my rimmel lip liner in red dynamite and my Barry M lipstick in shade 158 (a red with a pink undertone). And last but not least my Barry M glitter liner in Gold!

Step 1 Prepare your Face
First of all you just want to do your basic face routine, such as spot creams, moisturisers and then foundation. I use my Rimmel 25 Hour liquid foundation and then use my Natural Collection pressed powder in 'warm' to finish my skin. I then put on my eye primer ready for the next step...

Step 2 Your Eyes
You then want to start applying the white eye-shadow as a base coat, and then blend till this is only slightly visible. I then begin with adding the gold (the one in the middle of the picture!) into the corner of my eye and leave to blend later. I then go ahead and add my red eye-shadow the rest of my eye leaving a tiny gap between the gold and red to then blend together. I recommend blending from the corner of your eye outwards, this just makes sure the red doesn't go into the gold. After blending I take a thin eye-shadow brush and use the shimmery green eye-shadow (much like the colour of a Christmas tree) into the crease of my eye and blend. I then add a thin line of winged eye-liner as close and as thin as possible for a minimal effect on your eye. don't worry if its too messy just try to keep the line as straight as possible. Then you can use the glitter eye-liner on top for a super cute Christmas effect!

Step 3 Your Lips
I use my Rimmel lip liner in 'Red Dynamite' and make my cupids bow super emphasised. I take the lines just above my natural lip line just for a super effect. I then colour the rest of my lips in and add my Barry M Lipstick.. And then you are done!!

Well I hope that was simple enough!
15 days till Christmas!

Blogmas Day 8: Snowflake Nails

Today I thought I'd do a cute little nail tutorial the pictures aren't complimentary to what I've done but I shall try my best to explain to you best I can!
I decided to just do sparkly nails, as snow is always sparkly in the sun, right? On my thumb nails I decided to do a snowflake (like I said you can't see it too well, only vaguely).

The products I'm going to be using are: Rimmel Clear Nail Varnish, Barry M Diamond Glitter Nail Polish, and Barry M Matt White Nail polish along with the Barry M Nail Art Pen in Silver.

Step 1: Base Coat
Apply one coat of the clear nail polish, this just gives a protective layer between the coloured polish and your nail.

Step 2: Apply the White
Next you want to apply the white nail polish, I did 2 coats just to make sure my nails are fully covered and the white is nice and clear. I then leave these to dry for about an hour or so just to make sure they are fully set!

Step 3: Glitter & Snowflake
On the other 4 nails that you aren't putting a snowflake on, put several coats of the glitter on to make sure you get decent coverage and its super sparkly! While these are drying then use the nail art pen to draw a snowflake (I know its not the best picture in the world but you can get a rough idea from the picture on the right!). Once this has dried then add 2 coats of the glitter polish on top of your snowflake. If you wish you can add some silver dots on the other nails to represent snow like I did!

Step 4: Protect
To fully protect the nails, just add your clear nail varnish just to protect your nails from chipping and leave to dry - and voila!

We are done! I hope you enjoyed this little post!

17 days till Christmas!

Lots of Love

I know, I know, its been what 2 weeks or so since I've done an OOTW - but I have felt so low these past 2 weeks, and I just did not feel in the mood to do anything including blogging. But now I am finally back on track, I am doing OOTW's again and scheduling posts for when I can't get to post due to the amount of work I have! Anyway - what does the title mean? Well, this week has been a lazy kind of "can't be bothered" week, so I just went for a simple neutral coloured look...

My Bathroom Essentials!

As promised, I said I would do a 'My Bathroom Essentials' post and here it is! These are some of the things that I see as a must have to have in my bathroom and some of my favourite products!

Lets start with some utensils - I always like to have a good supply of body puffs and face clothes! My 2 facecloths are in hot pink and lavender and I bought these from M&Co for £1 each! The body puffs I got from Morrisons in a pack of 6 in different colours I think again this pack was all for around a £1! So an absolute bargain to get some of these! I also think its nice to have bit of decoration in the bathroom and my rubber duck is just the perfect thing to make it cheerful! I really can't remember where I got him, but I'm sure you can find others somewhere!

The next product is something I don't think I could actually live without and thats my dry shampoo! Its always good to have some just in case you need to rush out the house and you just don't have time to wash your hair! I bought mine in 'Blush' cause this is my favourite Batiste dry shampoo and the smell is just lovely! I actually bought mine in clearance for £1 in Boots because the lid went missing so I used the lid of my old can and put it on this, bargain or what?!

Everyone has to have hand wash in your house, and I get super obsessed with having a nice smelling hand wash! I particularly love the hand washes from Waitrose. At the moment I particularly love the Cinnamon Cakes one! It reminds me of Christmas (too early to be thinking about Christmas?) and it just smells so so SO yummy! You can get this for £1.11 in Waitrose/Ocado!

I always think its super important to keep spots at an absolute minimum, cause I used to suffer really badly with spots when I was younger, and now even when I get one, they get really sore! So I wash my face with the Simple 'Triple Action Face Wash' - I love Simple products, they make my skin feel really nice and cleansed as well as not containing too many unnatural and horrible chemicals! I use this twice a day, and it definitely has improved my skin with spots! You can buy this from Boots for £2.66 - so its also super affordable to keep your skin in tip top condition!

What would my life be if I didn't have Soap & Glory products in my bathroom! First of all, I am absolutely in love with my 'Foam Call' Body Wash - this has a luscious smell and makes your skin feel really smooth! You can get this huge tub (which will last you ages!) for just £6.50 from boots! They have a range of big bottled body washes so you can chose your favourite! Next is the two pots, the first being the 'Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em' Body buff, this also makes your skin feel soft and the next is 'The Righteous Butter' which is the perfect thing to use after using the body buff! It makes your skin stay softer for longer! The last being the Mini 'Clean on Me' body wash, this is perfect if you go away a lot (like I do!) then its the perfect thing to take with you and it doesn't take up too much space! I think its always important to have travel sized stuff in your house cause you never know when you have to go away at the last minute!

I also think its super important to have lip balm in your bathroom because if your lips are super dry then its good to have plenty on hand! Also, after moisturising my lips, the tend to feel a little dry so its good to keep some with my toothbrush to keep my lips feeling soft! I got this balmi lip balm in Raspberry for my birthday and bought another one so it can go in my handbag cause I love it so much!!

Well I hope you enjoyed my Bathroom Essentials post! I also just want to mention that I won't be posting my OOTW next week as I'm having a break from blogging from Sunday through to the following Sunday (25th August) because I've been blogging every week since January and I'm also going away from Monday to Wednesday and I also have lots of work to be doing next week!

Much Love

OOTW: Retro & Relaxed

Okay so this weeks Outfit of the Week is called 'retro and relaxed'. I kinda gave it this name cause I have been super busy this weekend, as I've now gone back to work and I've been busy running errands that a dress just isn't suitable, especially in this (beautiful?) weather in the UK! (Yes, I am talking about the rain... *sigh*).

Red Rockabilly Paisley Bandana - Collectif  £2.50

Freddie Knitted Top (Candy Pink) - Collectif £34.50

Black Treggings - Peacocks £10

Pink Spot Messenger Bag - Anladia £16

Chunky Black Heels - Clarks £49.99

I have just done some simple retro make-up, using a pencil eyeliner instead of my liquid liner as I'm in a hurry in the morning! I love my Super Stay 24 hour lipstick as it lasts all day so I don't have to keep touching up! I have done basic winged eyeliner over the top of some natural shade of eyeshadow!

Love & Wishes to you all!

The 'Must Haves' and The 'Never Again's' - January 2013

Hello Again! Its been a while hasn't it?!

Well I know I'm 8 days late (my bad!) but I am now going to do my monthly products which I have bought this month and either love or hate! (Bare in mind my spelling may be terrible as I have just got home from doing a night shift at work!) Now I hate being a negative nelly but sometimes there is a product we have, and lets face it we all have at least one, that we would never buy or use again! Now as a side note, I would like to add that January for me as a beauty month has mainly been about hair styling so just be warned!

Must Haves!

1.  BaByliss Pro-Curl Curling Tongs.

Now I have become very bored with my straight hair with the ends deciding they want to flick out making me look like Miss Hoolie from Balamory, so I decided I would finally purchase some curling tongs after I had been using my mum's old curling tongs she had from the 1980's! (Which were just a cheap pair, but have lasted so long until the ceramic finally started to wear!) Now these arrived on the 26th January and I've only just got round to using them as I have been so super busy at work!  And the results made me so happy; I acheived the big bouncy flawless curls I had desired and much more! I bought these from a friend who decided she didn't need them after cutting her hair very short and sold me them for £5.00 but you lovely lot can buy these for £18.49 in Boots. In the images below is my hair after I curled it this morning!

The curls have a good bounce and last for ages without becoming flat. Now I usually add the Tresemmé Professional Firm Hold Hairspray but I decided for once I wouldn't and see how long my curls would last. Right now they are still bouncy and full of curly life! (Shown in the image on the left!).

2. Peacocks Hair Bun 'Donut'

Now I know I am seriously late with this craze but hey, I like doing things late! But I saw this in the sale section in the clothing shop Peacock's. Now I have a lovely friend who works in Peacocks and actually went into the store room to see if there was any blonde ones left... and to my luck THERE WAS! Now I got this for the super cheap price of 99p but you can buy these from Boots or Superdrug from around £1.99-£3.99 in either Blonde, Black or Brown, depending on your hair colour! I got a small blonde donut because my hair is still only shoulder length (sigh...) but I will purchase a new one once my hair has grown to a sufficient length!

3. No.7 Day and Night Moisturising Creams (test pots)

I bought these as tester pots as part of my huge Boots Haul from the No.7 Stand. Now when it comes to Moisturisers I am very fussy! My skin is very sensitive so I can easily come up in a rash when using these products! I started using these about 3 weeks ago now and I adore them, I will definitely be purchasing these again in the future! These make your skin feel very silk like and I usually put these on after I have done my spot treatments on, which usually tend to make your skin feel taut and dry, but these make your skin silky and refreshed... No.7 you've done it again! You can purchase these from Boots; The Day Cream costs £9.00 and The Night Cream costs just a tad more at £9.95! Seriously Girls, these are fantastic on your skin, definitely worth it!

4. Mavala Nail Polish

Now I am a huge fan of the Mavala Nail Polishes. You can buy these in Lloyds Pharmacy for about £3-£4... Even though they are dearer then some other nail polishes, the finish and feel of these are just fabulous! I currently have these in 71 La Paz (Hot Pink), 153 Lagoon (a greeny-blue colour) and in Touch of Provence (Lilac). The consistency of the nail polish appears very thick, but once applied onto your nails becomes very thin, I usually apply about 3-4 layers depending if I am putting anything on top of my nails, then I usually only apply 3 coats. I currently use my Lagoon polish with my Barry M Aqua Glitter Polish as they work so perfectly together! I can usually wear these nail polishes for around 2 weeks without even chipping them! You get a high gloss finish to make your nails just perfect!

5. Victoria Jackson Make-Up Set

I bought this absolutely amazing make-up set when I went up to Westfield in London back in January! They had a small little stand in the train station and I just had to have a little nosey, and I am so glad I did! This make-up is high quality and just feels so light on your skin! In my set which I got for £50.00 was a VJ Mascara, VJ Terra Glow Bronzing Powder, VJ 24/7 Makeover Portfolio Sunrise & Sunset Colour Kit, a VJ Blush Brush and a little Beauty Tips booklet! I use the mascara every single day and I need to purchase some more very very soon! The mascara doesn't cause your eyelashes to clump if you put more mascara on! The eyelashes are equally feathered out and also make your eye lashes actually look longer! The booklet taught me so many tips that I never even knew myself! If you need any tips, even on how to apply your blusher then this booklet has it all; it has 5 little sections which include the eyes, foundation eyebrows blush and lips. The bronzing powder is a warm golden colour, nothing to make me look orange either! Sometimes when I buy bronzing products, they make me look like an oompa loompa, and that's even when I buy the lightest colour!
In the colour kit pods you get a tri-colour of eyeshadows, 2 blush's (one which is your skintone which is the day perfecting blush - in the day kit; the other is for adding colour to your cheeks) and 2 lip gloss swatches. Happy is an understatement! These are the perfect size to fit in your handbag too! If you want to find out more products then please have a look at the Victoria Jackson website; www.vmakeup.com/

6. Simple Cleansing Make-Up Wipes

Every person should own some of these amazing wipes! Now, I am probably over-hyping a very simple and typical product, but, I adore Simple cosmetics! I have never had a bad experience with any of their products! They make your skin feel lovely even after you have had make-up on all day! Your skin feels refreshed and vibrant! You get 25 wipes in a pack, but I always buy these in a bulk! You can buy them at any drug store or even supermarkets in the health and beauty section! I buy mine in Morrisons for £1.99, join me in some Simple lovelyness!!

Not Sure Yet!

BaByliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers

Okay, so as you may know I have begun to get very bored of my straight blonde locks and decided I want to add some waves and curls in without permanently damaging my hair by getting is permed! So I went into Boots (again during my haul!) and found these bad boys! I bought these for £29.99 and got a 'Stay Set' lotion free with it! I used these rollers, as advised on damp hair, (not wet!) now bare in mind I have never used rollers before let alone heated rollers, my mum said it was easy as she used them a lot when she was younger, so I thought the hell of it I'll have a go! Now, I have only used this once, and I did exactly what the little booklet said I should do, the results for me, were personally very disappointing. I used all the rollers in my hair, not putting too much into one roller either and throughout my whole hair only got 2 full curls. These just made my hair flick out at the end with a small twists, no 'bouncy and flawless curls' here. I adore BaByliss products, and I definitely wont give up on these until I'm happy or know I will never achieve anything from these (please comment below if you have these and your experiences with any rollers/heated rollers and your tips for little old me!). The battle has not been won yet heated rollers!

Never Agains!

1. Stay Set Setting Lotion

Okay, so I got this product for free when I bought my BaByliss Rollers from Boots, and I'm sad to say this product has caused me absolute hell! I will never ever purchase this again! Okay, I put this in my hair the other week when plating my hair; I followed the directions and putting this on after I had washed my hair, my hair being damp then to wet the hair with this product... When I first put the product on, all I could smell was chemicals dripping out of my hair, and yes I know this is a chemically based product, however most companies try to hide that and give it a nice perfumed smell. After around 5 minutes and I had towel dried my hair, my head began to feel very itchy and my skin on my scalp, around the back of my neck, and on the hair line on my forehead. Now, I have taken photos, however I will not show them to you as they were honestly ghastly! However, I have now returned this product to Boots, and not too much of a loss to myself. Maybe I just had a bad experience, I'm not sure but I will definitely not buy this product again! If you wish to buy this you can buy this from Boots for around £2.29.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume

I love Batiste's Dry Shampoo range, I think they are fantastic when you have to rush out the house and don't have time to wash your hair. However, I purchased the Batiste 'Big &Bouncy XXL Volume' shampoo and how I was disappointed. Batiste products I have used in the past, (and I hvae used about at least 4 different types of the range) have been amazing, they have made my hair feel refreshed, just like it had been washed and that it was full of life, it made my hair feel smooth and easy to brush through, no knots what-so-ever! But, with the XXL Volume, all my amazing experiences in the past were shadowed by this. I used a quick spray of this dry shampoo before dashing off to work. My hair was knotty, I couldn't easily brush my hair either. 'Big & Bouncy'? No, for me more like  'Knotty as Hell'. I was hugely upset with this product. Batiste is a hair product I use a lot of, especially with my crazy work life, and I have so much faith in their products and they usually make me very happy with the finished outcome. Another thing that annoyed me about this product is that it should give your hair 'volume' if anything my hair felt less volumized once I had used the product. My hair become flat, and as said before knotted. I will definitely be purchasing my blonde Batiste Dry Shampoo again, but the XXL Volume I shall not! Sorry Batiste!

Product of the Month

Dove Body Wash

I love Dove as a company, and I love their advertising techniques for real beauty and real women (Dove Beauty Evolution Video and Dove Real Beauty) however I sadly regret and hate to say it but I had an allergic reaction to several Dove products I have used... facial creams, body wash, deodorants and many more. I love Dove and think they are outstanding, but for me I can't use their products, HOWEVER, I think you should all use a Dove product (only if you aren't allergic like me!) Dove are a company who think every and any women no matter what you look like is beautiful and honestly Dove have hit it on the nail! They send out the right message to every one across the world. Well Done Dove!!

And now we have come to the end! I am sorry that this is late, I have been super busy, but I will definitely get back on track with my blogging from now on!

Much Love You Beauties

Snow Make-Up!

So when we have snowfall in the UK, the whole country usually goes into a meltdown, but who said you still can't look fabulous even if you do have to abandon your car or walk your dog?! When we have the snow, I have a very simple and quick make-up routine which I like to do!

Step 1: Apply any facial products which you might use for acne or spots, always put these products on under your make-up, otherwise you will get no benefit from the usage of these products! As you can see in my other blog post 'Attack Those Spots!' I explain about the products that I use and how they benefit me personally!

Step 2: Next apply your foundation, I use 2 liquid foundations by Rimmel. The first one I use is the 'Stay Matte' foundation in a shade 200 Beige. I usually use this as a base coat for my foundation. I usually spread my foundation very thinly onto my face and neck. The second foundation that I use is the 'Lasting Finish' foundation in 200 Beige again. This shade compared to the Stay Matte foundation is a little more darker, and I next time I buy this product will probably go one shade lighter. Again I put about a large pea sized amount of this foundation onto my fingertip and then rub this gently onto my face.

Step 3: I do love pastel shades in a lot of my stuff, and that includes some of my eye shadows! For my basic snow make-up I use the Natural Collection 'Mermaid' eye shadow. I am an absolute sucker for NC make-up, its cheap and brilliant quality! I also bought an eye shadow and a small blending brush from Superdrug for about £2, which was a bargain! I use the eye shadow brush and collect a small amount on my brush, I take the eye shadow up to the top of my lip where it creases, and then blend this in so there is no excess eye shadow dusting into your eyes!

Step 4: Now you would apply some mascara, you don't want too much as your eyelashes may clump or bunch together. I usually use a Victoria Jackson Mascara, but any mascara will do!

And then you are done! Here is an image of myself with the finished look, it is basic, and very simple, and takes hardly any time at all! You can also add a nice lip gloss, I usually use the Maybelline 'Watershine Gloss' in the shade named 'Cutie Pie' as this has a tint of pink and lasts for ages when applied!

Attack Those Spots!

Okay so honestly, we can all say we have had an attack from spots, no matter what age! And I myself know how frustrating these horrible vicious outbreaks can be! No matter how bad they may be, even if its just the one, trying to get rid of them seems like mission impossible, doesn't it? Well here are the products I use to try and at least ease the spots on my face!

The first product that I use is the Simple 'Spotless Skin Rapid Action Spot Zapper' sometimes I find that if a spot is quite fresh then sometimes this may sting putting it on, but don't let that phase you from using this product! It has a roller at the end of the tube so applying this product is very easy. You can buy this product from any shop such as Boots, Superdrug, however I buy mine from Morrisons and this costs me usually about £4.99.

The second product that I use is the Freederm 'Fast Track' Gel. Again if you have a fresh spot (or you have a tendency to pick them and they become sore, yes even I am guilty of this!) applying the product may make it sore, but no pain is no gain! I have been using this product from Freederm for about a year or so, and I find that this product really works for me! I buy this product from Boots at the retail price of £6.39. This product may seem a lot of money for what you get, but I honestly recommend this product. I used to have very severe outbreaks of spots, and they wouldn't go for months, sometimes even get worse in that time, but now I have maybe 3 or 4 spots come every 1 or 2 months! Even when I don't have spots, I won't use the product every day but I will use it as something to try and prevent more spots appearing!

For my third and final product that I haven't been using for that long is the Witch 'Blemish Stick' I bought this product as I was browsing on the Boots website looking for lipsticks and buying more of the Lee Stafford hair products. I have used this product a couple of times and use this after using my other 2 products. I'm not sure really if this product has had any benefit for me yet, but the application is easy. You can either use your finger to transfer the product onto your skin or just run the stick over the area you want to put the product on. I bought this product from Boots for £2.89, brilliant bargain for this product so excellent if you are on a tight budget and need a little help with your spots!
