OOTW; Schwing...

Happy Wednesday!!! I am just loving this summer weather we've had!! This weekend I went for a couple of dog walks with Alice and Freddie and taught Alice to swim! However... A few people are still going on about me and trousers so here is another trouser outfit that I really like and have been sporting a lot recently!

White Cinch Belt, Hell Bunny - £5
Black T-bar Heels, eBay - £15
Sock bun, Peackocks - £1
Vintage Circle Sunglasses, Vintage Fair - £5
Swallow Love Necklace, eBay - £10
This outfit is very much a crossover of the 40's and 50's, I personally just wanted to make this outfit a bit more flirty with the cleavage from the Dolores top, plus seeing as its summer I don't want to have a too heavy top as I would just get hot. I just went for a simple black and white look with this outfit purely because I just wanted it to be simple and effective and making the cinch of the waist stand out more. By going simple with the colours, it also makes the red lipstick stand out more, which I personally love by highlighting this one part of the outfit!

You can also wear flat pumps with this look, I just opted for heels! The Franky Swing trousers are a definite must-have in my opinion... These are perfect for creating that vintage look but also making your bum look amazing!!!! I got mine in a 22, mainly because trousers are normally tight on the bum for me, but these were just a tad too
big! So I tailored the inside seam to make it tighter and also tailored the length in the leg as it was just a tad short for me, seeing as I only stand at 5ft5.5 in height.

I went for my signature rockabilly look today - just half white and half golf eyeshadow, Starting with white across the whole lid and in the crease and about half the eyelid in golf eyeshadow blended out, winged eyeliner and ruby red lips! I'm super loving my new sunglasses at the moment too! I got these when I went to the Vintage Fair on the 1st June. These are slightly different to my usual Marilyn sunglasses as these are a little more rounded, but they are just so cute!!!

Well that's all from me! I also have a YouTube video going up this Saturday!! I told you it wouldn't be months till a new one goes up! This is just a beauty faves video as suggested to me by my friend Josie! So look out for that!

Love

Spending Ban & Selling

At the beginning of the week I began doing my finances for this month, and realised how much I spend a month on clothes/makeup/eating out etc... I spend over £300 a month. That is way too flaming much.

So I'm going on a spending ban. Yup, me, the queen of Spending is going on a spending ban. I think it will do me the world of good, and teach me to value what I own a lot more (not that I don't already!).

I'm deducing my hours at work again, so I'm only going to be getting £480 a month again (not much) so I need to cut back a bit. £200 will be for rent, I'll be putting £80 into an old savings account I have, and the other £200 will be for the necessity's. Whatever is left over until my next money instalment will be taken out, and put into my glass jar.

I also get paid £20 a week to do the cleaning of the whole of the house (including my bedsit), so each week £20 will go into the glass jar. I'm going away in June to a friend's down near Somerset, so I need to really save some money, and also planning a holiday abroad at some point this year/early next year.

I also decided to count how many dresses I own... Big mistake. I own 45 dresses... THAT IS NOT RIGHT!!!! So, I decided I'm going to have a trawl through them, have a look and see what dresses I don't wear, and will be selling them on my eBay page and ones which are a bit worse for wear will be going to charity.

I mean who REALLY needs to own 45 dresses; not me! (although it will probably kill me inside to sell them!)

Also the profited money will be going into the little savings pot too!

Well my friends, here is the start of a new (grown up) horizon. I think I need to learn I don't buy a dress for the sake of buying a dress!

For my glass jar, I used an old Yankee Candle jar, cleaned it out, added a little ribbon round the top and added some little gems into the bottom to make it all pretty!

How I'm going to do it

1. I'm not going to tempt myself... I'm not going to keep looking through eBay or any of my favourite shops (online or in store) because then I will feel compelled to buy something.

2. Selling my clothes will help me to understand the concepts and transfers of money, and teach me its good to let go and not hoard stuff I probably don't need.

3. Keep myself organised, cause then I won't freak out about how much I own.

If you have any tips for my that would be amazing/awesome, cause it will be tough! I still will be spending, like normal expenditures like food/travel etc but I'm going to keep a close eye on what I do from now on.

Oh and life update... I'm looking for a new job (yay for the adult life).

See you soon poppets, might do a life post/update soon, so let me know if there's anything you'd like to know about!

Lots of Love Munchkins

OOTW: Chill Out, Its Easter!

I've been looking forward to the Easter holidays since the February Half Term ended - I'm only working 2 days this holiday, and I've just got to do revision for college! Seeing as I'm not going out every day I just like to have chill out clothes on, like for revision or doing my laundry or ironing.

Rockabilly Baggy Tattoo Top, Primark - £8

Black Leggings, Peacocks - 2 for £10

I haven't got any make-up on so I can let my skin breathe for a bit and I'm totally loving just doing nothing for a change!

My hair is just a complete mess so I've tied it up into a high messy bun and let it do its own thing.

My toe nails are painted as are my nails, but I forgot to take a picture for some reason - but they are in the lilacy colour from the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes shade 'Prickly Pear' (you can buy it here).

Well see you for my next post my lovelies!

Payday Wishlist!

As many of you know, I am currently on my summer holiday from work and college! I do however still get paid... On a minimum wage for being on call and also just to tie me over! I am only getting £200 this month, so I must spend it wisely! However, there are still some things I can buy! (I also hit over 6000 views yesterday, fabulous news!).

I know I will definitely be purchasing the Lindy Bop dress and Cary Jane shoes (and probably the 2 nail polishes) but the other 2 items I may wait to get at a later date, seeing as I'm going back to college in just over 4 weeks (ahh scary!! I just hope I make some friends and no one thinks I'm weird!!)

Anyway, just a quick post today, and look forward to my post on friday which is all about my Bathroom Essentials and what I think are some absolute must haves and what are my favourites!

I've also felt really lyrical this week and yesterday I had a fantastic little jam with my fans when we had a meet up so they could meet us (my band) as people instead of just watching us on stage, and my favourite song we sang in acoustic was probably Imelda May's song 'End of the World' - I can seriously relate to this song right now, especially through this emotional mess I'm in, writing a goodbye letter and also because its just so beautiful!

Much love

OOTW; Curvy Collectif!

As I mentioned in my weekly overview on Sunday that today I would be meeting some of the lovely people who follow and support my band, we sat in Costa for around 2 hours with lots of coffee's and coolers, and had a lovely chat! We then went for lunch and after lunch we went to the park and did a little sing song and people passing also stopped to have a listen! My outfit today is a cute 'Collectif' look, and I bought both these items in their Hot 50 Sale at the end of July!

Black Liesel Skirt, Collectif - £46.50
White Trixie Cat Eye Sunglasses, Bow and Crossbones - £8
'Love' Quote & Swallow Necklace, Gift - £Free
Gold Buckle Waist Belt, New Look - £5.99

For my make-up, instead of doing my normal black winged eye liner, I used a glitter liquid liner and just did exactly the same style as normal and touching up my eyes with mascara, on my lips I have used the Seventeen lipstick in shade 'Hollywood', I'm really sad as this lipstick just broke on me one day, but the colour of this is really beautiful! For my hair, I did a loose low pony tail at the back of my neck, and then folded this in on its self, to create this simple look; its good because its not meant to look perfect or tidy! You can finish off your hair with a hair flower!

For my nails, I have painted them in the Barry M nail polish in shade 'Peach Melba' which is absolutely cute! For my shoes I am also wearing my new flat shoes I bought from Clarks! After breaking my 2 toes I realised I should buy some proper shoes instead of cheap £10 ones all the time which gives my foot no support what so ever! I chose to get this in patent instead of the matte shoes generally because patent looks a little more finished and prettier then the boring matte ones (plus they are easier to clean!).

Much love my lovelies!!
