OOTW; The Marilyn

This weeks OOTW is inspire by the ever so gorgeous Marilyn Monroe.
It's been a while since I've dressed up like this, so I gave it another go!

By the way, I'm sorry for not putting a post up on Saturday! I had a surprise for my birthday, my friend came down without me knowing so never got round to writing the post on Friday neither did I have time on Saturday my actual birthday as I was in Brighton!

Black Pencil Skirt, Charity - £5

Sling back Heels, Peacocks - £12

Circular Sunglasses, Brighton Vintage Fair- £5

Make-Up

Vie Sheer Perfection in Light

2True Concealer in shade 1

H&M Dipliner

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in shade 'Reckless'

This look for me is just beautiful. I genuinely feel as if I'm Marilyn when I'm wearing this! I always have people stop me in the street for pictures with me too! I pretty much just mimicked the way her make-up was so oftenly done. My hair was meant to be in tighter curls, however because it had been so super backcombed the day before and it needed washing the curls decided to fall into looser curls!
I just rolled my fringe back with curlers and pinned for this look.

The outfit itself, enhances my curves phenomenal, I would normally opt for shape wear to wear underneath also, however decided not to for today.

This outfit and style always gets the attention when out in public, and you can embrace your inner elegance of being Marilyn for a day!

I also took this rather impromptu photo and I really like it!!

Blogmas Day 20: Holiday is here!

So today I have finally finished college for 2013 and I can now begin to chill out for the next few weeks for Christmas and New Year! My last lesson today was English which I enjoy so much! English is like my most favourite subject in the whole wide world ever (apart from when I have to write essays...). The thought also dawned on me that this was my last college lesson of 2013... Scary stuff.

Oh well I can relax now and watch some Christmas movies...

What's your favourite Christmas movie? Mine at the moment (apart from Robbie the Reindeer!) has to be Arthur Christmas!

REMEMBER - 3 BITS OF STICKY TAPE! (You'd get it if you've seen the film...)

So close to Christmas now!

Blogmas Day 11 OOTW: Lovely in Lace!

Okay so this week is another black little number, this time its my John Zack short long-sleeved lace dress! I'm wearing this to my work's Christmas play on Friday and I'll be pairing this with tights and some cute heels!

Blogmas Day 2 - The 2013 Christmas Tag!

So my lovely friend Steff from Stephanie Maverick tagged me in this way back in November but I
decided I would do this for my first post of Blogmas! I will be scheduling posts seeing as I'm so busy over this time of the year!

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
In my house we kind of have a real and a synthetic - in my room I have a slimline 6ft synthetic tree which I put up on the 1st November (I don't care what anyone thinks - I just love Christmas so much!!). However, downstairs we have a real tree because my dad always insists on having a real tree. This year we have got to decide whether we are going to get a real one because of the puppy - but its likely we will still have one!

2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?
Hmm - I'm currently really loving the Chocolate & Orange Mocha Latte at Costa from the Autumn (I go to costa pretty much every day when I'm at college!)

3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
I used to be very different to my mum I always used to have just white decorations with crystal white lights and white doves but I've now kind of grown up over the years and become more traditional, much like my mum. My mum decorates our tree very rich as we believe more is less on the tree as we always get a 6ft tall tree which is very wide and bushy! This year my colour scheme for my tree is Red, Green, Gold and White.

4.  Giving or receiving?
I absolutely love giving presents no doubt about it - I do need to start making my presents for close friends and putting their bags together!

5.  To mince pie or not to?
I had my first mince pie around mid October already - I adore mince pies and I need to make some in December for my family!

6.  What's your traditional Sunday lunch?
We kind of have a huge table full of food for Christmas, our traditional Sunday lunch we have is very boring so I'll tell you about my families Christmas dinner instead - ready for the list?...: Turkey, Ham, Pigs in Blankets (Sausages wrapped in bacon), roasted Chestnuts, Sprouts, French Beans, Peas, Carrots, sweetcorn, Roasted potatoes, mash potato, homemade Yorkshire puddings, bread sauce, gravy (2 different gravy's) and a few other things too... We are fatties at Christmas.

7.  Christmas day fashion
Every year my mum makes me buy a new dress for Christmas - I have no say whether its a dress or not. I haven't actually got my dress yet, I haven't really seen one I've fallen in love with. We all dress up really smart and in nice clothes but this year I'm debating whether to just re-wear a new dress because of Alice as she keeps putting her muddy paws all over me and my clothes.

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?
I have a favourite Album at the moment and that's Alexander Rybak's 'Christmas Tales' album - it had such beautiful covers on it as well. He is probably my favourite violinist - ever.

9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?
I watch around 30 christmas films per year staring on the 1st November - but my favourite Christmas film has to be ROBBIE THE REINDEER!!!!!!!

10.  Open presents before or after lunch?
Me and my mum believe Christmas is for children so we always open our presents first thing in the morning because when we were younger it meant we had all day to play with our presents until Christmas dinner at 5pm (we have our dinner in the evening so we go to bed all sleepy and our afternoon isn't wasted as we always play a family game!).

Oh this is getting me SOOOO excited for Christmas!! Not long - ONLY 23 DAYS!

Lots of Love

OOTW: All About Winter Onesies!

Today I thought I'd do my OOTW including my new Polar Bear onesie (featured in my most recent haul video on YouTube! You can watch it here!). I super love this onesie - its fluffy and soooo cosy!
Fluffy Polar Bear Cream Onesie, Next - £38
Super quick and short post today, but I am in so much pain after going to the nasty physio who I can't stand. I'm probably just going to have a nap this afternoon with a hot water bottle to try and ease my back a bit!

Body Confidence Week!

Well, this week has been Body Confidence Week and what better way to promote this then showing you my figure. I was originally going to do this post at the beginning of the week, but honestly, I didn't have the guts. It was only when my friend and photographer Eddie said to me "Its Body Confidence Week for Christ sake Emma!" until then I didn't realise how stupid I really was being.
I have also faced a fear by taking this picture - I haven't worn a swimsuit in 2, nearly 3 years because they are so figure hugging, and I was always worried I would be judged - so here goes...

I use to be super self-conscious and always wore frumpy clothes cause I hated my figure and here I am now facing my fear of wearing a swimsuit and posing in front of a camera.

I Hate:
My thighs
My tummy
My Butt
My Boobs
My Back
My Neck

But I'm beautiful. It shouldn't matter what anyone says about my figure, or my boobs or my butt, or what size jeans I take. Nothing else matters. You can be a size 6 and be beautiful and curvy, you can be a size 26 and you will still be beautiful and curvy! Beautiful is not and never will be defined as a number.

Never let anyone tell you that you have to be a certain size to be considered beautiful or perfect - a) beauty isn't a number b) there is no such thing as perfect in society; perfection is in the eye of the beholder.

So what's your biggest body fear? Why don't you face it? Why should it matter what anyone else thinks?

Have you ever compared your figure to someone else's and wish you had there's instead of your own? WHY?! Okay, I admit, I have done this many times in my life, and sometimes I do wish I could trade my "well-known" and curvaceous boobs and booty for something a little smaller - but they are part of me and what people recognise me as. I'm learning to love my body, yeah it's not easy and you can't just change your outlook of yourself as quick as a flash, but you can start by making small changes.

Here's a task if you struggle with seeing yourself as beautiful. Everyday look in the mirror - and you MUST pick one good thing about yourself, whether its your eyes, your hair, anything and then write it down, fold it up and put it in a box. In one month, open this box up and look at all the things you have written down. Or even better, get your friends to write things down into a box anonymously and read all the beautiful aspects about yourself!

You are beautiful no matter what anyone says or thinks - if I can bare myself to you, then you can do it for yourself!

Lots of love

Emma Victoria

The First Time Tag!

Hello! Its that time of the week for my weekly post on anything that I feel like posting - today's post is going to be 'The First Time' Tag which my lovely friend and fellow blogger Amna from ASQGenerates alerted me of on Twitter!

1. First Best Friend?

My 1st Best Friend is still my best friend now! My friend Sophie and me have been friends since we were around 2 -3 years old! Now we are both 18! We have been through so many ups and downs through the years, and our greatest memory has to be the Easter egg being thrown against my wardrobe cause I couldn't open it! I really hope that we have many more memories together in the future and that we never ever lose touch! We are 15 years strong!

2. First Kiss?

Oh sugar, I can't remember this far back *blush*... If I'm correct (which I really hope I am) it was with my first boyfriend Jason - we had been together for 3 months and it was just a simple little peck on the cheeks, nothing more, very sweet and very innocent. After him I've only ever kissed 1 other guy... and that was my longest relationship (10 months) but he left to move to New Zealand.

3. First Concert?

Oh crickey, I'm super proud to have said my first concert was My Chemical Romance (15th November 2007) - I know the date because this was the best day in my life EVER! Seeing my favourite band ever, and they were the first band I ever got to see! Their set was amazing, it was part of the Black Parade Tour, and I wore my Black Parade jacket, black tights, black boots, military style dress/top and my BP make-up. Oh the good old days!

4. First Celebrity Crush?

I know (and I hope) that I'm not the only person to say Duncan and Anthony from Blue! I was absolutely in love with them when I was younger. Everytime I went to stagecoach and we did our little exam pieces I guarantee it was always either a Blue song or a Steps song. I'm still not afraid to say that Duncan still isn't bad looking...

5. First Word?

My first word was Dad... I've always been a daddy's girl so that's no real surprise!

6. First Pet?

I'm gonna say my nan's dog Coco - Coco wasn't my dog but when I was younger I spent a lot of time at my nan's when my brother was born due to his complexity of his disability then. Coco was a chocolate minature poodle, who tragically died very quickly due to Cancer. Then it was my nan's cats who I also spent a lot of time with, Holston and Cosmic. Who also died due to Cancer (trend here?). Then I got my dog Freddie who is a beautiful Yellow Labrador!

7. First job?

My first job was with Brighton and Hove Albion football club (queue the abuse) - I am a Blackpool fan, I always have been, however I started working and training as a wheelchair football coach and did my Duke of Edinburgh with the club. I joined back in March 2009, and left in March 2012 after many disagreements over how things were being ran and how some children were being pushed to the side.

8. First Phone?

My first phone was the Motorola L6 in Blue! I blooming loved that phone, however I was on Pay as you Go with Orange (this phone was given on the contract). However, Orange screwed us over big time and virtually stole our money.

9. First Tweet?

I have absolutely no idea! This was 22,849 tweets ago. It was probably along the lines of 'how do you use twitter?'...

10. First make-up?

It was the Miss Sporty 'Spot On' Foundation - I've always had really bad spots on my face, when I get them, I get them badly. (I have some seriously sore ones right now, and they hurt like hell!) I still buy this now, as it does help a bit to reduce redness and the duration of them!

Now I shall tag some people I think might want to do this cheeky little tag!

Stephanie

Georgina
Emily

P.S Next week will be another tag that Stephanie tagged me in (check hers out before you see mine!

Size 14, 16 or 18? So What! - Body Confidence!

Now its only fair to say that everyone has some sort of insecurity, whether it be that your hair isn't how you want it or that your waist isn't skinny enough. I know far too well what its like to be picked on and singled out just because I'm not a size 8... But truthfully, it shouldn't matter whether you are a Size 8 or a Size 22! A lot of people also seem to think that only people who are considered 'plus size' have body issues, but you'll also find a lot of people who are Size 8 or 10 have body issues too!

One thing I will say is that you should NEVER feel ashamed about your body. Your body is your temple, you should respect everything about your body. You shouldn't hate your muffin tops or your stomach just because they aren't perfect - your flaws are the things that make you unique and perfect in your own way.

A lot of people comment about my modelling, which I've started to get into more recently - especially baring a bit more skin. Now, I always used to be very afraid about being a bit more showy on the parts of my body I wasn't happy with. I used to really hate my stomach, my thighs, my neck and the top of my arms. My stomach isn't flat, my thighs are horrible, but why should I hide my body away just because I'm scared what people may think of me? While I was at secondary school, I was subject to many a rude or hurtful comment about my weight just because I wasn't skinny and that I wasn't always the best at sports. I had a really rough time at secondary school, alongside with family problems I was always in a very dark place, I didn't have many friends at secondary school, the majority of my friends were outside school. I always felt very insecure because of my weight. It was only when I went to college did I really become to realise that my weight and figure didn't matter to the people who were my friends. People didn't care that I wasn't skinny or perfect, I had so many people compliment me saying I was a beautiful curvaceous girl, I finally began to regain my confidence. It was only when I started modelling did I begin to start feeling anxious, I was saw modelling as a very stereotypical thing where only girls with flat stomachs could do modelling.

Another problem I've began to find a lot with society is that people are deciding themselves what the word 'curvy' defines. Some say its girls who are skinny but have boobs and a butt, some say its a bigger girl, etc, etc - but to me, everyone is curvy, no one's body is flat like a plank of wood. A good friend of mine said she wanted to make herself look more curvy, so we went on a shopping trip to find specific dresses that highlight certain parts of her body to make her feel good. The really important thing to remember is that, you should dress to impress YOURSELF - not somebody else! If you dress to impress yourself, and you feel confident in yourself, people will fall at your feet and stare at you down the street!

Its really important to remember, that your dress size doesn't define who you are as a person, and you never should let it do that either. You should be who you want to be, not what others want you to be. So what you haven't got a flat stomach, why should you let that stop you wearing a bikini?! You should never be jealous of what someone else has, because there's bound to be someone who wants your figure instead of their own. You should love your body, not hate it, if you love your body, it will love you back.

Never let society judge you, and even if they do, just walk away and remember, you are perfect in every way possible!

If you ever want a chat about anything, no matter how small it is, or to even ask questions, just post a comment or email me on Facebook or on anchorsawaybeauty@hotmail.com.

Stay Beautiful

Weekley Overview; 18th August & Blog Break!

I'm writing this as my nails are drying and trying to cool my anger over the neighbours who live at the back... They are having a massive party, with strobe lights (which are beaming into my room) and very loud music. Looks like I'll be ringing the police non-emergency number after 11pm! Anyway, lets try and relax...

Me wearing glasses... Opinions?!
Today I spent finishing the cleaning and starting packing! I've had a really bad back all day so not much has really happened!

Monday I am getting up early to go for a run (yes, me, running...amazing). and then coming home to have a shower and then finish packing to go to London!!! I'm going to London with my best friend for a couple of days!

Tuesday My friend and me are going to the One Direction Film Première and then we are going to see a show and get last minute tickets!

Wednesday I come from London (insert sad face here) and coming home! I am doing a small solo set at a local pub, all acoustic, just piano, acoustic guitar and me! I'm really looking forward to doing a set were its not all up tempo and its more relaxing and emotive! That's when I feel I get into my music the most!

Thursday During the day is just relaxing and getting my voice back in tip top condition. I'm also planning on seeing another best friend of mine and going to the cinema (we've yet to finalise details, but follow me on twitter to keep up to date with me and what I'm doing during the week!)

Friday I'm probably going to be doing all the cleaning again, I have some work planned to do as well, so its just a chill out day and relax! I may also be looking at possibly buying a sewing machine so I can start making some of my own clothes!

Saturday I have lots planned to do! I wont bore you with all the details, but I have new song ideas and some new lyrics to write down, and write up new set lists! So much exciting stuff is happening!

Blog Update I'm also having a blog break this week due to being away and because I've been blogging every week since January I just need a little break to get some new ideas and to get some stuff done! I will be back next Sunday for my next weekly overview and again back on schedule till I start my new schedule from 8th September!

See you next sunday my lovelies!!

OOTW; Curvy Collectif!

As I mentioned in my weekly overview on Sunday that today I would be meeting some of the lovely people who follow and support my band, we sat in Costa for around 2 hours with lots of coffee's and coolers, and had a lovely chat! We then went for lunch and after lunch we went to the park and did a little sing song and people passing also stopped to have a listen! My outfit today is a cute 'Collectif' look, and I bought both these items in their Hot 50 Sale at the end of July!

Black Liesel Skirt, Collectif - £46.50
White Trixie Cat Eye Sunglasses, Bow and Crossbones - £8
'Love' Quote & Swallow Necklace, Gift - £Free
Gold Buckle Waist Belt, New Look - £5.99

For my make-up, instead of doing my normal black winged eye liner, I used a glitter liquid liner and just did exactly the same style as normal and touching up my eyes with mascara, on my lips I have used the Seventeen lipstick in shade 'Hollywood', I'm really sad as this lipstick just broke on me one day, but the colour of this is really beautiful! For my hair, I did a loose low pony tail at the back of my neck, and then folded this in on its self, to create this simple look; its good because its not meant to look perfect or tidy! You can finish off your hair with a hair flower!

For my nails, I have painted them in the Barry M nail polish in shade 'Peach Melba' which is absolutely cute! For my shoes I am also wearing my new flat shoes I bought from Clarks! After breaking my 2 toes I realised I should buy some proper shoes instead of cheap £10 ones all the time which gives my foot no support what so ever! I chose to get this in patent instead of the matte shoes generally because patent looks a little more finished and prettier then the boring matte ones (plus they are easier to clean!).

Much love my lovelies!!

Quick Picture Post!

Seeing that my family have a tradition of always bringing the baby pictures out at birthday's, I thought I'd share some baby pictures of me when I was younger with you!

You can see by the pictures a smell fraction of my childhood, which comes to an end tomorrow. The first picture is off me at around 1-2 years old wearing a Blackpool FC shirt and hat with a skater skirt (Yup, I had real fashion back in them days!), the second picture, I'm 2, just going on 3, as this was before my brother was born, I am in fact crying in this picture (someone didn't have a nap that day...). The third picture is of me at my Aunt's house playing the piano, I was around 5 at this time, and thought that my artistic ability would flourish playing the piano while wearing roller blades... The fourth picture is me at my 6th birthday with a cake (we still taunt my mum with this cake), it was in fact meant to be a fairy, however we joke my mum call it the 'slutty fairy' as my mum did the make-up a little too heavy on the fairy's face! The fifth picture is of me back in around Year 3 at school, and typically at the Christmas plays, I was an angel, anyone can guess why... Cause of how blonde my hair was (and obviously because I looked so angelic).

Well I hope you enjoyed these few photos!

I will be doing a photo post of my day tomorrow, so watch out for that!!

Weekly Update; 30th June!

Oh gosh, I can't believe its nearly July! We are already half way through 2013!! With it being the last day of June today, the count down to my birthday begins... which means I'M NEARLY CLASSED AS AN ADULT! :(
I'm not wearing any make-up!
Today Just consists of relaxing now... and drinking. I've already cut the lawn today (in the heat) so now I'm just relaxing in the sun, with a lovely cool fresh orange juice. Tonight I'll just have a shower and then relax in bed and watch a film again!

Monday Today, my mum and me are going to Eastbourne, to go to this shop called 'Dunelm Mill' which we've never been to before... We are going to get some bits and bobs for my birthday so if there is anything I like we will get! Afterwards we will come home, and again probably just do nothing...

Tuesday Depending if my mum feels up to go to Dunelm Mill on Monday  we will go today (we are so indecisive), if we go on Monday I will do the cleaning today, or vice versa! I will also be taking picture of my outfit of the week so keep an eye out for that! First OOTW for July!

Wednesday I have work *sigh* however, we are just doing multi sensory and swimming so its quite and easy and relaxed day again! Afterwards, I have to do some paperwork... The joys of sorting bank accounts and receipts...

Thursday I haven't yet decided whether I will be either playing or watching the staff football match at work, but knowing my luck cause I used to coach wheelchair football, I will be roped in to play! Afterwards I am going for a picnic with my lovely friend and colleague Esther, who is going away for the whole summer once work is finished! 6 weeks without my girl, what on earth will I do?!

Friday Just another day relaxing, I don't have many hours this week as I've managed to fill my allocation of hours up until the 16th July, with all the annual review meetings I've been going into work for, so that means more time off! If the weather is nice I will probably end up going for a walk with my partner, and then just relaxing; or if the weather is crappy we will stay indoors and watch a film together!

Saturday Will probably just be another relaxing day, I have to go into work to meet some of the new staff members! I also have someone doubling up with my position, meaning my hours get halved, just in time for when I go back to college in September! (Fewer night shifts for me at least!) In the evening, I will be going to my local speedway (Eastbourne Eagles) and seeing my best friend Charlie! I only tend to go when she goes, cause for some reason, most people seem to hate me there nowadays or they all have their little group of friends. Meaning, I can have a fun night with my best friend before she moves down nearer to me!

Well, its a pretty relaxed week I think! Which is nice, cause I can enjoy this beautiful sunny weather! On Wednesday, I will be posting a '18th Birthday Wishlist' post, just so you guys have an idea what I want for my birthday!

Much Love

Weekly Overview; 23rd June!

Hello my lovelies! I'm currently just sat in bed, with a croaky voice drinking some (not so yummy) Throat Coat (just so you know this is a drink I have after I've done a gig, its just a herbal tea to help soothe the throat and repair any damage!). If you read last weeks post, you'd know that yesterday I played a private gig at a wedding so a big congratulations to Claire and Rick who booked us for your special day! So lets see what I've got planned this week...

Today is probably going to amount of doing next to nothing! Oh, and sitting out on the decking and enjoy the sun (well, what we have of it!) I might also be planning on doing a video soon on my YouTube!

Monday First of all, I have to go to my brothers clinic as he has to have botox in his legs (he is quadriplegic and he can't walk, so he has botox to help relax the muscles in his legs to make day to day things like standing in his stander and walking in his frame a little bit easier). Afterwards, I will go to college for my media lesson, and then come home to pack! I will also bed doing my OOTW on monday, because I won't be able to tomorrow!

Tuesday I get a lay in, as I'm not working Monday Night for a change! I have college from, 10.40 -12, however, I'm not sure if it's on as we had an email saying our teacher may not be there! After this, I am then going to Guildford! Not really the most exciting thing in the world, but I have to meet my dad at his work around 3 o'clock as we are driving up to Blackpool as we are going to stay with my aunt. I should be getting to Guildford around 2-2.30 and my dad and me will be leaving at 3.30-4, so if anyone has any suggestions what I can do, I'd be super grateful!

Wednesday I am really not looking forward to today... Today is the day I have to say goodbye to my Great Aunt Grace who my family sadly lost on the 11th June. The funeral is in Burnley, so I will be with my family all today, and travelling back home in the evening. Today will be very emotional and a hard today to go through.

Thursday Today I will be working from 12-5, so a short day to be relatively honest! And after I will come home and just relax, and do nothing, except sleep!

Friday I have a lay in as my work don't need me in today, so I am just going for lunch with my lovely band to discuss set lists, songs, and new songs we have written. Afterwards, I will just come home and relax and maybe take my dog for a walk to just take things off my mind!

Saturday I've no idea what I have planned yet, I know I'm not working, so it may just be a day at home relaxing again and just to get little jobs done!

Its another one of them weeks, when not much is really going on, however it will be very emotional, so relaxation will be needed. Stay tuned for next week's weekly update! Its nearly the end of June! Which means, July is nearly round the corner and so is my 18th Birthday on the 12th July!

Lots of Love

Valentine's Day Can Be Hard...

Its come to be that day in the year again were there is the segregation of those who are single and those who are in a relationship... Yup, its Valentine's Day; and to be quite honest with all of you, I am dreading it terribly. If you know me personally, you will know I had a very difficult year with relationships last year. One was a long distance relationship and the other was a long term one, which slowly turned into a on-off relationship before he moved away. I am not afraid to show my emotions after months of bottling things up about how I really felt, and the only people I can thank for helping me was my friends.
How am I going to try and cope? - Okay, well, you can deem it stupid or silly but me and my best friend have actually sent each other a Valentine's Card as we have both recently become part of 'Singleton'. What I am also going to do is treat myself and keep myself busy. I am going to be doing a deep cleansing of my house, top to bottom. I will then bake myself, yes myself, some cookies (death by triple chocolate cookies if you really must know!) and not think about my feelings one little bit. Whether this will be successful or not I really don't know, but I will try my hardest. For me, I won't also be having my phone on me. The reason for this is, my ex who I am now friends with may text me, making me think emotionally of the past. I will try and keep strong, but please, if any of you feel like you are having an emotional breakdown tomorrow, treat yourself, indulge in something you love, because you deserve to be happy, just as much as those people who are in a relationship, if not more. Your knight in shining armour will come one day, until then just keep beautiful!

Tomorrow will be hard for myself, and for others who feel alone or upset, it can feel like everyone around you is in a relationship, and it can seriously play with your mind, just ignore it, easy said then done I know; but if you can ignore one thing, then that makes you just a little bit stronger then if you were to think about. And if you do think about the things you don't want to think about, don't punish yourself. Think of the bright magical future ahead. The past can't be changed but the future can.

You are all beautiful and amazing. And to me, it doesn't matter if one or a million people read my blog, the followers I have, each and every one of you make me happy and feel special that you actually want to read the rubbish I write about!

Bless You All.
Stay Safe.
Stay Beautiful.

Looking Back & Changing

Now, every new year, everyone makes a 'New Year's Resolution', and do people usually stick to them? Honestly, they'd like to say yes, but the majority of the time people always give up or even forget about their resolution. However, this year I had 2 resolutions for myself. The first was to keep my second new years resolution, and the second was to lose weight. Now this is probably the most common resolution. I am now into my 23rd Day of my new diet, I last weighed myself last Thursday, and I weighed myself today and I have lost 2lb's. Now, 2012 was a really terrible year for me; my brother had major surgery in January (a year today), I fell ill with pneumonia, kicked out of college,
and many other private issues. The only thing that kept me going was my boyfriend, Ollie; however in November we were both told the heart-breaking news he was moving back to New Zealand. Throughout the year, I began to comfort eat and began not to care about myself or what anyone thought. I locked myself away and wouldn't talk to anyone. But when my boyfriend left the UK, I decided I would change myself for the better, make myself happy. Now I have never really been skinny or slim. But I have tried many diets in the past and just gave up. I now have my own treadmill and cycling bike at home, as well as using 'fun' fitness exercises such as the Wii Fit! I am now doing a calorie control diet, I have 1500 calories (kcal) a day. You can eat what you want, when you want, you just watch your calories! This is working really well for me. I find its the healthiest way to lose weight, losing 1 or 2 pounds a week is healthy. Don't starve yourself, otherwise you will just crave all the time and constantly feel hungry and find yourself wanting to eat even more then before you started the diet!
The thing you need the most during a diet and trying to lose weight, is support and encouragement. Now, I still speak to my now ex Ollie, even though it hurts me emotionally, (its still early stages since he left and we split, be positive and be happy!) But every week we Skype each other,  he asks me how my diet is going and if I have lost any weight. Now if I gain for whatever reason, we talk it through about where I went wrong or what happened, and we work and improve on the previous week. Now, in the diet I am doing, it says that if you go wrong one day, forget about it and start again the next day. Don't dwell and give up if you go wrong once, everyone makes mistakes and has slip ups, don't beat yourself up over it!

I am someone who constantly helps people when they need me (even though I am someone who bottles up my emotions when I am upset or sad, just cause I don't want to be judged, another habit I am trying to break, a challenge? A very hard challenge for me.), no matter how small the problem or issue is. I always listen when people need advice or help, I encourage them if they need it. And if you are doing the same as me and have stuck to your goal, or want to lose weight, then be positive, don't let one bad day get you down when there is thousands ahead of you which YOU can make happy! If any of you lovely people need advice, or even just want a little chat, then I am always here to listen and help. You can comment on here or email me on cutecupcakebeauty@hotmail.com

Now, remember, You are amazing and beautiful. When you do something, don't do it for others, do it for yourself. At the end of the day, you are important and should be happy!

Keep Smiling Beautiful!
