Yet another tutorial, this one I feel more confident doing as I do this near on every blooming day! I love red lips and this is how I get my perfect red lips. I kind of base mine off how Marilyn Monroe did hers, I've become slightly more infatuated with Marilyn over the past few weeks and just kind of wish to replicate her a little more in my style as of recently. What You'll Need
Red lip liner (Mine is Rimmel 021 Red Dynamite) 2 red lipsticks (I have the Barry M one in shade 121 and the Seventeen in Red Hot Chilli they are also blue undertone lipsticks) Clear Lipgloss Tissue Step 1 Moisturise and Prepare To prepare my lips before being covered in my red goodness, I use a clean toothbrush over my lips to just remove the dead skin and make them super smooth, I then use my babylips lip balm and wait till this kind of dries a little. Step 2Line it Up Now you want to take your lip liner and start drawing round the outline of your lips. I like to make my cupids bow super obvious and to stand out more so I tend to draw these a little more exaggerated and above my natural lip line ever so slightly. I tend to be quite strict on my lips and only really want the cupids bow exaggerated and the rest is uniform. Step 3 Lipstick No.1 Now I use my Seventeen lipstick, just simply going round my lips and not going outside the lip liner. This lipstick is super vibrant and bright and I love it! Once rubbing your lips together to make sure your lips are covered you then need a bit of tissue to then blot your lips to take off the extra bit of lipstick. Step 4 Lipstick No.2 Again this time using your other lipstick, mine is the Barry M lipstick, and again going over your lips, rubbing them together and then blotting to take off the excess. Step 5 Gloss To make my lips that extra bit more glamorous I like to use gloss on top, I just have a cheap one from Superdrug and its so good. I have a seperate gloss from the rest of my other ones as I have one for specifically applying onto red lipstick, as the wand does normally pick up the red lipstick on your lips. It doesn't matter if your gloss does go a red tint though as it's going on top of your red lips anyway! Just apply the gloss all the way around your lips, rub together and et voila your DONE!
I super love red lips, and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Love Emma Victoria xoxox
Today I thought I would do a review on my absolute favourite pair of leggings! I bought these from next about 8 months ago, and these still feel like brand new - it goes from a size 8-10 up to 18-20 (bearing in mind they are super stretchy!)
I've taken a picture of the front view and back view. The material of these are fantastic, they are super stretchy and very thick - so easy to dress them up or dress them down! They are super inexpensive at £16 too!
When I first bought these I was a bit unsure on the material thinking that it would show all my lumps and bumps really badly, but if anything it pulls me in a little! I bought these in a size 14-16 by mistake but in fact they are too big for me! The only con I have with these are that the length of them are really long - I'm quite short at 5 foot 5 anyway, but I often just cuff the bottoms up and this problem is resolved. These are high waisted too, so they act as shape wear. I find these make my butt look absolutely fantastic too! These have also stayed true to the fact they are black - I find with leggings that after a couple of washes the black fades to brown, but these haven't and are still black!
These are super comfy and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking for a decent pair of leggings!
Today I thought I would do a quick review of a product I bought recently! I've seen so many negative reviews on this product and thought I'd try it out for myself!
I bought the PediSpin from my local Robert Dyas for £14.99, a product that is not too inexpensive and doesn't break the bank. I've been looking at this product for a while now since seeing it in a TV advert - I had looked online at reviews and the majority where negative but I still decided to buy the product... AND I'm so glad I did! First of all, my feet are probably the definition of atrocious - and when you are taking your heels off mid-gig and on the stage and people see your feet, you really don't want them to see how awful your feet are with dead skin and all that! This product seemed like the kind of product for me. One negative downfall I did find was that you know one the advert (you can watch it here to see what I mean!!) it shows that it takes dry skin off without soaking - however, I tried it before and it did work, but it didn't really make its full effect with the buffing pad (the grey one with holes!) I had a shower, dried my feet and then used it and it worked amazingly! You can see on the right, that there are 2 speed settings, low is for rough dry skin and high is for rough dry calluses - personally I chose to use the High speed for the my dry skin and calluses and it works perfectly! I'd say this product is probably very hit and miss - for me it works perfectly alongside my normal footcare routine, however if you have really bad feet then maybe not so much. But for an inexpensive product I'd say its pretty darn good! Lots of Love Emma Victoria xoxox
Its getting near my absolute favourite and beautiful time of the year! I absolutely adore autumn! I love when the leaves turn to beautiful shades of orange, yellow, red, auburn... When I'm older I'd love to have a wedding in the Autumn - it'd be oh so perfect! I absolutely adore this outfit, generally because its still summery but still warm enough as the days are starting to get a bit more chilly now the Summer is behind us...
I decided to just go with a simple sort of cute look for this outfit. Nothing to complex, just 2 little plaits at the front of my hair clipped at the back with a hair daisy to just polish it off. My make-up is also super simple - Foundation and face powder for coverage, and I just used my Natural Collection Eyeshadow in 'Candyfloss' which is a baby pink and just blended it in and added mascara to my eyelashes. My nails are painted in the Barry M shade 'Prickly Pear' and Silver Glitter Polish - I just wanted to add a simple little statement with the lilac to compliment the red on the skirt! Well I hope you enjoyed this weeks OOTW! Just a reminder that all OOTW's will be posted on Wednesday's now, unless I state otherwise! I also have one dress left for sale on my Ebay (emmavictoriaaa2011). Lots of Love Emma Victoria xoxo
I know its my second post today, but I'm making up for not posting yesterday, as I just didn't have the time! So here are all the pictures I took yesterday, I do hope you enjoy them! I think the best moment of the day was having a picture with the Jive Aces!!
Sunday, was an absolutely amazing day! I had my best friend, some amazing music, dancing, and lots of giggles! We had the most amazing homemade slushie drinks, which were divine! Best Day ever?! Definitely a strong contender! Lots of Love Emma Victoria xoxo
Can you believe we are in August?! Jeez, I'm losing track of my time! I'm doing today's post in advance as I won't have time to actually write this today. Also, I'm super sorry for writing it today, as yesterday I was just too busy to post it! Today I'm taking my friend home, and my parents are coming home from a weekend away. Its just a relaxed day I think for me, I may just do my OOTW ready to post on Tuesday (I may even use my outfit from Summertime Swing on Sunday). Tuesday I've no idea what I'm doing for most days this week, generally because my dad's at home, and that means we decide to go to places on the actual morning of going somewhere (sigh). I tend to be quite organised at the moment and don't like deciding things last minute. Wednesday Again, I don't really know what's in store, I hope we can go out somewhere and do something fun, but who knows, All I do know, is that my parents are going out for a meal with their friends in Eastbourne and are staying over, so.... home alone for me again! I'll probably just watch a DVD and cook dinner... What an exciting life I lead. Thursday My parents come back home... Again I don't know what I'm doing... Ugh I hate being unorganised and not knowing what I'm doing!! Friday Today my cousin is coming down from Blackpool with her foster child. When my dog went up to Blackpool last year when we had our house done out, he absolutely loved Freddie, so my cousin Lucy is bringing down to London and then coming down to see us! Saturday I know what I'm doing today!! I'm going to the Vintage Transport Festival in Horsted Keynes with my friend Anja! I'm tempted to go on the Bluebell Railway, cause then I have an excuse to go on it (hehe!) Or I can get the bus! Well... I have an interesting week ahead aye... Lets hope things get a little more interesting as the week goes on... If you want to follow me around on what I'm doing then make sure you follow and check out my twitter @EmmaVictoriaaa and you'll be able to keep up to date with me! Much Love Emma Victoria xoxo
My make up is my typical everyday look, with the winged eyeliner, and I'm wearing my new long wear lipstick by Fashionista in shade 'Coral'. This is a red lipstick with a pink undertone, and is pretty resilient to coming off! I've also done my hair in a quiff, just slicking back my fringe and incorporating it into the rest of the my hair, and set in with the Tresemme Hair Spray!
Today I was sat in the staff room with my colleague Lucy, when she asked me if I would do a blog post on some of the music I listen to, as she was intrigued! So here I shall post some links to my favourite Rockabilly/Rock'N'Roll singers and bands that I listen to, so you get a taste of my taste!
Imelda May is probably my heroin in Rockabilly! She was the first person I really got into Rocakbilly with, her voice is perfect and beautiful! I just wish I was this woman! Everything about her and her music is perfect! Below is the first song I ever listened to of Imelda's and that's 'Johnny Got a Boom Boom'.
Jerry Lee Lewis is one of the first male Rock'N'Roll men I ever listened to, the other being Elvis. Great Balls of Fire, ironically was the second song I actually heard, the first song I heard was Wild One, which honestly in a way I prefer, generally because if you ever ask anyone for a Jerry Lee song, they tend to say Great Balls of Fire and then the other songs! So here is 'Wild One'.
Elvis Presley probably the most iconic (not forgetting amazingly gorgeous) man of Rock and Roll. He is the King... and who doesn't love the the King?! If you haven't heard an Elvis song, then where have you been all this time?! I thought I'd share with you my favourite song right now which Elvis did, now I know that Brenda Lee originally did 'Always on my Mind' however, I adore Elvis' version, its so melancholy and emotive, and I love it very much!
The Stray Cats - you can't have rockabilly without The Stray Cats!! They revived the Rockabillu scene back in the 80's, and if it wasn't for them, Rockabilly wouldn't be really were it is now, without that key revival what would us Rockabillies do?! One of my favourite Stray Cats songs at the moment is Rock This Town, my band actually covered this at our gig in the Isle of Wight, and the crowd loved it, just as much as we do!
Bill Haley and His Comets were huge in the 50's. I love Shake Rattle & Roll! I won't ever forget actually listening to this in my English Class at college and silently rocking out to myself, and my teacher wondering what on earth I was doing!
Kat Men is formed of Darrell Higham (Imelda May's husband and lead guitarist), Al Gare (also Imelda May's double bassist) and Slim Jim Phantom from the Stray Cats. This band strives complete perfection to me! I recently got their new album 'The Kat Men Cometh' after seeing them on Jools Holland... again another perfect band!
The Playtones are a swedish Rockabilly band, who participated in Melodifestivalen in 2011 with their song 'The King'. After seeing them perform on the show, I instantly fell in love with the Swedish Rockabilly Band. The band who used to be called 'Boppin' Steve and The Playtones' before 2008, and then changed to 'The Playtones'. I have to admit, I fan girl over this band a lot, and when they tweeted me on twitter (yes! Little old me!!) I completely died a little inside- and now they also follow me!!
Top Cats were another band that performed in Melodifestivalen but in 2012! They have been together since 2001, and I absolutely love this band (especially Jon Kleppenes, le fan girl) the first song I heard of theirs was Heartache, off their album Heartache/No More Heartache. (Jon Kleppenes in fact liked a photo of me on Instagram... lets just say, I was fan girling round the house and work for the 2 days after he liked that picture!). The song I am currently in deep love with is Baby Doll which was the song they used for Melodifestivalen... For me this song is the point of a view of a greaser boy meeting his perfect pin-up girl... His Baby Doll...
Knocksville is in fact a local band relatively near to were I live. I saw them live when they supported Big Boy Bloater at the Haunt in Brighton with my lovely friend Anja! I bought their album then, and ever since haven't stopped listening to them!
Well, these are only some of the people and bands I listen to. If I listed them all, we'd be here forever! These are some of the songs and bands that also inspire me to write, sing, and be confident with the way I am, whether people stare in the street, I am proud to say I'm a rockabilly, and I won't be changing for anyone!
Love and Hugs

xoxo PS - I also have a YouTube video which I'm editing all about my rockabilly dresses! So please keep a look out for it soon! Its now only 2 weeks till my 18th birthday! Comment below if you'd like to see a wishlist post on my blog for what I want!
Yesterday Morning, I did some online shopping (which I will show you all my lovely things in another blog post!). I went on Secret Carousel and searched for some Rockabilly jewellery as I am seriously lacking! And on there I found a website called 'Bow and Crossbones' I bought 2 necklaces from here and I will definitely be purchasing some more in the near future! I only put in my order at around midday and I received my order this morning through the post! To say they ship and dispatch the order's fast would be an understatement! This made me super happy as I have a lot planned this week and the necklaces will now be included in my outfit's!
The first necklace I bought was a Gold Tone Medium Anchor Necklace - I love Nautical knick knacks so this just found a place in my heart straight away. I actually got this necklace for a reduced price of £5.99 instead of £7.99. This necklace has a long chain and sits beautifully on my chest just above the cut of one of my swing dresses! Perfect! The necklace is nice and light and not too bulky and adds the perfect touch to an outfit, especially a nautical one! If you do require a longer chain for a necklace (they do give measurements on the site for each piece of jewellery!) then they do give you an option on the sidebar to buy either a longer chain or chain extension!
The second necklace I bought which made me super happy when I saw it was this little Record and Clef Gold Tone necklace! I have never ever seen anything like this anywhere and I knew I just had to buy it! And I got it for a super price of just £4.50!! The record on the necklace comes in 3 colours of; teal, pink and red. I am seriously considering buying one for my friend for their birthday cause this necklace is just the cutest! The chain on this necklace is shorter then the anchor one; sitting quite high up on the chest towards the neck, so if you prefer a longer chain so purchase another or an extension; however I love the length of this necklace cause it isn't too long for when I am doing some dancing! Would I recommend this shop to you? Absolutely! The prices are reasonable, and relatively cheap! The products are shipped super quick and they are of fantastic quality! So go and check out Bow and Crossbones! Lots of Love Emma xoxo
