Holiday - Butlins Skegness

This post is going to be a bit picture heavy, but I really wanted to show you some pictures from my holiday with my best friend.

(Also yesterday I put up a 'Winter Essentials' video up on my YouTube! Don't forget to check it out!)

So, me and my best friend Danielle decided we really needed to get away just for a few days, and with both of us at the time, on a low income, we decided we would take a trip to Butlins in Skegness! We had loads of fun (and loads of alcohol) and here is a few pictures of our trip! We went from the 1st September to the 5th and we had a 5 hour train journey to get there and back, but it was all totally worth it! (Even our horrendous hangovers on Thursday morning.. No regrets!)

We saw the Redcoat Show (AH-MA-ZING)
Drunken Selfies...
Sand Writing
Beach Poser
We saw the Ragdolls - they were phenomenal!
Me drinking one of the many (too many?) cocktails we had
We saw a dead Jellyfish on our beach walk (RIP Little Guy)
Sat on the Butlins deckchair (cheesy smile)
First night early drinks...
We both had our own pictures with the Ragdolls!

I really like doing picture posts like this!! I might do them a bit more often, like each month a small collab of images? I dont know. But I hope you liked this little snappy post!!

Soap & Glory Powder Trip Review

Today is a review of the lovely S&G Powder Trip Set - I got this for Christmas from my best friend of 15/16 years and I LOVE it!

This product I have started using on a daily basis - I super love the feel of the product on my skin, it makes it look and feel amazing! I super love Soap and Glory products anyway, and this just furthers my love! The illuminating powder has to currently be my most used out of the trio - I normally use this powder on top of my foundation and face powder, especially when I do Marilyn Monroe make-up.

The blush is also really nice, especially in its aesthetic look of all the different shades of pink that goes into the blusher - this comes up a really cute and rosy pink which is kind of perfect for the winter as the cold makes my cheeks go a rosy pink anyway! The blusher is the one in the top right corner and it is really soft against my skin too.

I haven't really used much of the bronzing powder as of yet, I tend to use bronzing powder in either the summer/autumn, however I have used it a handful of times and it doesn't make me look like an oompa loompa like most bronzing powders do (even when I buy the lightest shade humanly possible).
I do like how it kind of is a nice golden colour against my skin which is pretty fair. I tend to apply mine against my jaw line and on the top of the apples of my cheeks.

Other features include a mirror and a brush, the brush is like a half moon crescent brush, and it does have quite a good coverage for being such a little brush! The only real downfall I have for this product is that it is quite bulky and it does take up a fair amount of space in my handbag when I take it out, other then this, there really isn't any flaws in this product at all!

You can buy this product from Boots - £20

Betty the Sewing Machine! (Quick Post!)

Today's post is just a quick bonus post, I thought I'd just give you all a little update on my sewing machine, this is my 'Completed List' so far!

1. I've named my Sewing Machine - Betty-Sue, but Betty for Short!
2. I've already fixed a pair of knickers and 2 cushions using several different stitches (and backstitching!)
3. I finally learnt after about an hour of getting confused that the bobbin thread doesn't go through the needle, but the needle picks the thread up and loops (rookie mistake...)
4. I've learn't that I'm impossible at trying to get the thread through the needle.
5. I've got an itch to keep using Betty, even if it's just to practice.
6. I think I might already be becoming obsessed with Betty...

I got Betty for Christmas and I've finally had the chance to start using her now after setting her all up! If in the future once I've had some practice, for some tutorials, then it'd be good to know if you would like them!

Much Love

Happy New Year!

Oh my lordy, Christmas has been and gone and here we are on New Years Eve getting ready to Welcome in 2014! My family and me have a yearly tradition of listening to music, playing games such as Boggle and we always have a toast of Champagne at 12am!

We always have nibbles during the night so we tend not to have a big dinner, probably just a sandwich!

Well... Happy New Year and See you tomorrow for my first OOTW of 2014!!!!

Cuddles and Celebrations!

Weekly Overivew: 1st September!

Its a lovely Sunday isn't it! I also can't believe its September already! Its a super busy month for me as well! It also means we are another month closer to Christmas! (I am one of them people who loves Christmas! I also aim to have a very retro Christmas this year!) Lets see what I'm up to this week! ...

A cheeky double vodka & coke?
Why not!
Today I have had a lovely manicure by my friend as my nails look so crappy right now! We also added a white nail and put some glitter polish on, can't beat a little sparkle! Every girl deserves to shine!

Monday I am at college in the morning to complete my enrolment (*sigh*). God knows I'll probably be there for 10 minutes and then be told I can go! Any way, after that I have to pop to Tesco and get some bits and bobs and come home! I will probably do my OOTW as well as I'll be busy on Tuesday! In the evening I am also going up to Heathrow airport to go and see my lovely double bassist who is back from his month's holiday in the Bahamas/Miami/New York! (I am very, very jealous!)

Tuesday I have a meeting at a studio with a friend of mine who is recording an album and wants me to do some backing vocals on three tracks! First of all we are just sorting out a plan of what we are recording and when we are going to record it and also sort out all different bits and bobs! In the evening I have another acoustic gig, my second in a few weeks. I'm really enjoying doing some more acoustic gigs recently, generally because I am able to connect with the audience a lot more and its also more relaxed.

Wednesday My brother goes back to school today, so an early start to get him ready and see him off school! I'm also having my shopping delivered so I can put that away as well! I have some errands to run and do today so after I get them all done I can relax!

Thursday I am going to get things ready for going back to college and also sorting out some blog posts to be planned! I'm also thinking of possibly doing some youtube videos - so who knows what may happen!

Friday I have to go to college... AGAIN. I have to go back and pick my timetable up, hopefully it wont be as horrendous as last years... I will not do three 9am starts and two 5 and a half hour breaks in my timetable! That is just a joke! I do however have to go all the way to Lewes (45 minute drive away from where I live) just to go pick a piece of paper up.

Saturday I don't know what I have planned on Saturday, I presume its just a spontaneous day again! Who knows! Just have to wait and see!

Any who, this week I am planning on doing posts on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (if I have enough to write about that is!) I haven't decided when my body confidence post will be yet (either Wednesday or Friday) but just keep a look out on these days for whatever post is up!

Also, if you have any ideas about some future blog posts I can do, or you want to do a guest post, then just let me know! I really want to make this blog enjoyable for you read!

I'm Back! - Weekly Overview; 25th August!

Good Evening my Lovelies! I am back from a weeks break of blogging (which I well and truly needed!). I'm amazingly watching the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashains' on E!... I don't really enjoy reality TV, but this is slightly comical and relaxing! I know my post is a little late tonight (sorry!) I've had a hectic, busy day!

Yes - I met Daniel Radcliffe
while in London!!

Today I spent doing lots of bits and bobs around the house and out, I've also completed the adoption forms, yes adoption forms (not what you are thinking... Reel that thought in!!!) because, I am hopefully adopting another Labrador to be a brother/sister to my lovely yellow Lab Freddie!

Monday I am attending a private wedding fair, which was meant to happen on Saturday but was postponed to Monday instead. And again, reel the thought that you currently have in, I am most certainly not getting married (I haven't found a man even the slightest bit interested in little old me yet!). But I am, however, modelling wedding dresses! I am so super excited at doing this, its like a dream to wear a wedding dress but not actually get married! (At least if I never get married I would've tried on a wedding dress!)

Tuesday I am not doing much at all (thankfully) I need a little rest, plus I need to sort out my best friends birthday present (hopefully all the bits arrive in time!!) its just a day of relaxing doing paperwork (my OOTW!) and sorting out all my dresses in my wardrobe!!

Wednesday My dad is still off from work as he took an extra 2 days off after the bank holiday, so it may be a day of going out on a family trip (I really enjoy car trips, driving around Sussex and Kent, just because its so super fun and beautiful out in the Country where I live!)

Thursday My best friend and me are going to the Cinema for a little birthday treat and we also have to organise a night out for a meal at some point, but first we need to decide what film to go and see!

Friday I have all sorts planned, I have lots of things to organise for going back to college, research work, and also tonnes of modelling things to sort out!! (I have also uploaded some pictures to the Photo Shop, so for those interested in modelling photos, drop me an email and I can get them printed and signed!)

Saturday I like being spontaneous so I haven't got anything planned what-so-ever! Just have to wait and see what comes!

UPDATES This week I met Daniel Radcliffe while in London, and I also was a runner up in the Beauxoxo Giveaway! I will be getting a goody bag from Beauxoxo, which I will post up on here for my Wednesday or Friday post! So also look out for that!!

Much Love

Weekley Overview; 18th August & Blog Break!

I'm writing this as my nails are drying and trying to cool my anger over the neighbours who live at the back... They are having a massive party, with strobe lights (which are beaming into my room) and very loud music. Looks like I'll be ringing the police non-emergency number after 11pm! Anyway, lets try and relax...

Me wearing glasses... Opinions?!
Today I spent finishing the cleaning and starting packing! I've had a really bad back all day so not much has really happened!

Monday I am getting up early to go for a run (yes, me, running...amazing). and then coming home to have a shower and then finish packing to go to London!!! I'm going to London with my best friend for a couple of days!

Tuesday My friend and me are going to the One Direction Film Première and then we are going to see a show and get last minute tickets!

Wednesday I come from London (insert sad face here) and coming home! I am doing a small solo set at a local pub, all acoustic, just piano, acoustic guitar and me! I'm really looking forward to doing a set were its not all up tempo and its more relaxing and emotive! That's when I feel I get into my music the most!

Thursday During the day is just relaxing and getting my voice back in tip top condition. I'm also planning on seeing another best friend of mine and going to the cinema (we've yet to finalise details, but follow me on twitter to keep up to date with me and what I'm doing during the week!)

Friday I'm probably going to be doing all the cleaning again, I have some work planned to do as well, so its just a chill out day and relax! I may also be looking at possibly buying a sewing machine so I can start making some of my own clothes!

Saturday I have lots planned to do! I wont bore you with all the details, but I have new song ideas and some new lyrics to write down, and write up new set lists! So much exciting stuff is happening!

Blog Update I'm also having a blog break this week due to being away and because I've been blogging every week since January I just need a little break to get some new ideas and to get some stuff done! I will be back next Sunday for my next weekly overview and again back on schedule till I start my new schedule from 8th September!

See you next sunday my lovelies!!

Weekly Overview; 5th August

Can you believe we are in August?! Jeez, I'm losing track of my time! I'm doing today's post in advance as I won't have time to actually write this today. Also, I'm super sorry for writing it today, as yesterday I was just too busy to post it!

Today I'm taking my friend home, and my parents are coming home from a weekend away. Its just a relaxed day I think for me, I may just do my OOTW ready to post on Tuesday (I may even use my outfit from Summertime Swing on Sunday).

Tuesday I've no idea what I'm doing for most days this week, generally because my dad's at home, and that means we decide to go to places on the actual morning of going somewhere (sigh). I tend to be quite organised at the moment and don't like deciding things last minute.

Wednesday Again, I don't really know what's in store, I hope we can go out somewhere and do something fun, but who knows, All I do know, is that my parents are going out for a meal with their friends in Eastbourne and are staying over, so.... home alone for me again! I'll probably just watch a DVD and cook dinner... What an exciting life I lead.

Thursday My parents come back home... Again I don't know what I'm doing... Ugh I hate being unorganised and not knowing what I'm doing!!

Friday Today my cousin is coming down from Blackpool with her foster child. When my dog went up to Blackpool last year when we had our house done out, he absolutely loved Freddie, so my cousin Lucy is bringing down to London and then coming down to see us!

Saturday I know what I'm doing today!! I'm going to the Vintage Transport Festival in Horsted Keynes with my friend Anja! I'm tempted to go on the Bluebell Railway, cause then I have an excuse to go on it (hehe!) Or I can get the bus!

Well... I have an interesting week ahead aye... Lets hope things get a little more interesting as the week goes on... If you want to follow me around on what I'm doing then make sure you follow and check out my twitter @EmmaVictoriaaa and you'll be able to keep up to date with me!

Guest Post - Anja from The Ramblings of an Honorary Rascal

Good day my lovelies! Today I have my lovely friend Anja doing a guest post for me! If you are interested in doing a guest post then drop me an email on anchorsawaybeauty@hotmail.com (P.S I have also updated my Summer To-Do List - I will be doing a post on some of the things I have done soon as well!)

xoxo

---------------------------------------

Hello lovely people! So I am Anja from 'The Ramblings of an Honorary Rascal', a blog based on my love for all things historical and literary. But seeing as this is Emma's blog and it is a beauty blog, I thought I should try my hand at something 'beauty' for this guest post!
Now I know that a lot of girls want to wear a bit of make-up  as I do, to have a variety of effects, such as evening out your skin tone. But if you're also like me and on a beauty budget, it's hard to find products that give the same effects as 'professional' make-up brands that your favourite beauty gurus may use, without them costing you the earth. So, I thought I would share with you the products that I have found work the best, but on a budget. Each item costs less than £10 each, with the total products adding up to just under £30.

1. Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel - £2.99 and Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser - £3.89
2. MUA Eyeshadow (Shade 19 Matte)- £1.00, Collection No Clumps Mascara (Black) - £2.99, Essence Eyeliner Pen (available online), and  MUA Eyeliner (Rich Brown) - £1.00
3. Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation (Shade 100 Ivory) - £6.99
4. MUA Lipstick (Shade 11)- £1.00

And these are just some photos to show you how versatile they are!

By far my favourite thing about me is my hair. I usually tend to wear it the way it naturally falls, like in the picture, but sometimes I like to make myself feel a bit more groomed and actually do something with my hair. But as I am the kind of person who takes forever to get out of bed, leaving no time for hair and makeup, I've found these kinds of hairstyles are super easy to do, and each of them take less than 20 minutes to perfect.

So, thank you for bearing with me and reading to the end of this post, if you have, and if you have, well done! If you think you'd like to hear more from me then feel free to check out my blog, or if you have any post requests or just want to say hello then drop me a comment or tweet me at @thenewestenemy. Thanks for reading! :)

Weekly Overview; 28th July

I've sewn labels in 47 items today!
I can't believe we are in the last 3 days of July... how quick is 2013 going?! I swear it will be Christmas before I know it! Any who, lets get on with my weekly overview!

Today All I have done is sewing labels into my brother's clothes for his scout jamboree! My fingers are killing after threading a needle through clothes all day (since 10am) ouch. Early night tonight, after all that sewing (oh and watching Gavin and Stacey!)

Monday I have lots of errands to run, I need to put money into my bank, do some ironing, do my shopping list, do more washing and have a shower! Its just one of them boring house days which consist of baggy clothes and no make-up! I also have to go to the airport to see my lovely friend and band member Ricky off on his holiday! He won't be returning till the 2nd of September! I will also be doing my OOTW tonight because I just won't have the time tomorrow!

Tuesday I am off to London with my best friend to go shopping! Yay! I'm so excited! Me and my friend Charlie are going shopping as she wants to find an outfit for Summertime Swing and also just because we want to go shopping in London! Afterwards, I'll come home, relax in bed and watch a film!

Wednesday I have to go food shopping, all on my own! Big stuff for me! A full weeks shopping to do for myself! I think Chocolate will definitely be going in the trolley! I may also (finally) do my Birthday Haul video, I know its been around 2-3 weeks since my Birthday but I've just been finding a way to do it!

Thursday I have to see the doctor!! I have to see the doctor for a check-up on my foot after breaking 2 of my toes! After having one of my toes re-set they just want to make sure that the toe is okay, I also get to find out if I can wear heels again!

Friday I need to help pack all my brothers clothes for his scout jamboree and get all his stuff together! Just another relaxed day and getting all my stuff ready for the weekend too! I may even go DVD shopping if I have enough money!

Saturday I'm up super early to help get my brother to his International Scout's Jamboree, he is super excited about going and spending time with all his friends! Once my brother's gone my mum and dad are going away till Monday to a concert in Whistable (I think they are seeing the Blow Monkeys), which means, I'm home alone with my dog Freddie! I may get a takeaway just for myself as a treat, or I'll cook, it depends! I may bake a cake too seeing as I have the whole day (and house!) to myself! I think its Film Night too for me!

Sunday I have my best friend Charlie coming up and staying with me and we are going to Summertime Swing!! I'm so super excited about going and seeing the Jive Aces! I've no idea what outfit I'm going to be wearing yet either!!! Charlie will be staying over at mine, which means I'll post my Weekly Overview on Monday next week as I just won't have time next Sunday!!

Busy week ahead, but also super exciting! Also, tomorrow I will finally be posting a collage of some of my birthday photos, Wednesday will be a lifestyle post all about relationships and love and how to get over someone so if you need a bit of love advice then stay tuned! Also if you have any questions related to relationships then please let me know and I shall answer them in my post! Next Friday will also be a guest post (hopefully) from my lovely friend Anja!

Much Love
