Blogmas Day 11 OOTW: Lovely in Lace!

Okay so this week is another black little number, this time its my John Zack short long-sleeved lace dress! This is just a cute little outfit and perfect for a quick evening out down the pub with some friends! I'm wearing this to my work's Christmas play on Friday and I'll be pairing this with tights and some cute heels!

Blogmas Day 4 OOTW: Retro Party Present!

This is just a simple little party look I've put together, I super love black dress' for going out just because they can go with anything. With this outfit I've gone for a 'present' sort of theme with all the little bows!

 I super love this one shoulder batwing dress, and I don't normally wear dresses this short, but it doesn't look too bad!

For my makeup I did my usual winged eyeliner with mascara and my lips I used my Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip liner in Black Tulip with my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade 107, this is a very berry/plum tone lipstick thats perfect for winter. I thought I would add the Beauxoxo bow to run along with the present theme too, it just adds that cute little touch!

I bought some cute little bows at Pets at Home for £3 - Freddie refuses to wear anything but his collar but Alice is the opposite! Doesn't she just look so cute?! We are both matching with our bows!

Who thinks the gold reindeer is such a cute little touch?

Halloween OOTW: Vintage Broken Doll

Hello again! As mentioned in yesterdays nail tutorial, I had to delay my OOTW to today due to a bunch of health issues that have arisen (my luck being they made me have another x-ray today so this post is still lucky to even be going up today!). I wanted to do something a little more animated instead of super creepy like last time - which I thought was not a bad effort for an amateur!

What You Will Need
Black Eye-liner
Black, Glitter Grey, Pink, Blue and Purple Eye-shadow
Katy Perry Fake Eyelashes 'Sweetie Pie'
Maybelline 24Hour SuperStay Lipstick

Step 1 First of all you need to prepare your face as you would for any normal daily routine. For example I started by using a face wash and primer before applying my MUA and Collection 2000 concealers. I then applied my Miss Sporty Blemish Foundation and Rimmel 25 Hour Stay Foundation. Then finish with my Natural Collection pressed face powder in 'Warm'.

Step 2 Next you want to do your eye-shadow  I used pink on the inner side of the eyelid and purple on the outer and blended these going outwards. I then added a glittery grey into my crease just for more effect and then blended.

Step 3 Now onto your eyelashes. I first applied the Barry M Mascara to my eyelashes before applying my Katy Perry 'Sweetie Pie' Eyelashes to the lash line. You want to adjust the false eyelashes so you are comfortable with them and they sit correctly on your eyelid and lash line. 

Step 4 Now you are moving onto the freehand bit! Here you will need your black eye liner. You just need to make a little hollow shape on your face - I opted to put this over the visible spots on my face, perfect thing to cover them! You want a shape like the picture above and also to add lines to show your face is cracked. (Don't forget, old vintage dolls were often made out of porcelain or china, so they were very easily broken!).

Step 5 Now you will need your black eye-shadow - I opted to use eye-shadow instead of the liquid liner, just because I thought it gave more depth and effect. I just used a normal small eye shadow brush and I didn't blend it in either!

Step 6 Now you want to get your eye-liner again and your blue eye shadow and create tear drops - this is optional but I just wanted to add a more creepy and sad effect to this deserted broken doll look! With you eye-liner just create a tear-drop shape, and then fill in the inside with blue eye-shadow (Do not blend!)

Step 7 Now onto your lips, I decided to do mine in a heart shape, just to adopt the whole doll feel. I just used the lipstick wand provided with my Maybelline Lipstick, but if you prefer to use lipstick then you can just use a lip liner to create the shape and add the lipstick.

Step 8 For the final touch, you just need to do your hair. I put my hair in 2 pigtails, as this is the cutesy doll feel, and just back combed my hair for that distorted and mistreated effect of matted hair, I then took my fringe, because its so long I just pushed it back into a swirl and added a bow.

Beauxoxo Runner-Up Giveaway Bag! (I Also Need Your Help!)

Good day my absolute lovelies! If I hadn't already mentioned, I entered the Beauxoxo Giveaway on Facebook and ended up being one of the runner-ups! (Which for me is a huge achievement as I don't tend to win that much!) So I thought I would share with you all what I received in my little bag! I'm actually really chuffed with what I got as well, there is always that risk of getting something you don't like, however I haven't found that with this and I love everything inside!


Lets start with the picture on the right, these are all the accessories I received! The first one is a large bow from Beauxoxo itself, I've been questioning myself whether to get one or not and when getting one in this little bag it has definitely swayed me to wanting to get more! I love the mixture of different colours on this bow as its super easy to pair up with a few outfits! This is a thin crocodile clip on the back and sits really nicely in your hair! Because my hair always has a super shine to it, bows tend to slip out a bit so I just like to secure then with another clip or wear them while my hair is tied up! This would look perfect paired up with a sock bun near the top of your head, as its a very cutesy sort of look! 



The next accessory is this beautiful Glitter Bottle Necklace from Megan Jane Jewellery. I absolutely adore this colour blue in this necklace! It is stunning and super gorgeous! This pairs up amazingly with my Classy Bella Dress in Turquoise from Lindy Bop! I also super love that this has a gold chain on it, instead of a silver chain! I do find a lot of products has simple thin chain's making just the charm on the necklace the only focus! However, I like the loops on this chain as they aren't too small and just add to this beautiful little piece!

The next gorgeous little accessory is this gorgeously cute brooch from 'Love From Hetty & Dave'. This is so super adorable, and I may just purchase a few more of their products! This cute little Ice Cream Brooch is made from leather and the ice cream sewn on to it! I love that it is in a rosette shape, just makes me love it even more! Its also really easy to pair with a few of my dresses which come to mind straight away with the use of the 3 different colours making it super versatile to match things up! 



The last accessory I got was this gorgeously adorable Cat nap ring from I Love Crafty - this is so super cute, and I like wearing this on my little finger, just cause it looks soooo cute! (My nails are also painted in Strawberry Ice Cream Shade by Barry M). 

The last 2 items I got in my goodie bag is the 2 beauty products - the first is the Steam Cream 'Freshely Handmade Moisturiser' this can be used on your face, body and hands! This smells so super divine, and feels amazing! I might go and purchase some more of the products in the very near future! (You can find out the process of how they make this moisturiser with Steam on their website here). The next product is this beautiful Macaroon Bath Melt in Coral Bay from Miss Patissrie. I super duper LOVE that this has a petal on top, and it combines my 2 favourite things - bathroom smellies and baking into one! I will definitely be having a bath to try this gorgeous little thing out!

Any who my dears! That's all from me today! I will see you all on Sunday for my weekly overview! I also have 2 things in mind but not sure whether to pursue in them or not... The first being should I create a Facebook Page for my blog? It may help to bring more people to my blog? What do you think? The second being should I do a body confidence post on being a plus size blogger, how I feel about the fashion 'restrictions' and how I cope within it, shedding light on how you can make yourself more confident? I feel at the moment maybe my content is a little bland and needs spicing up a little more so if you have any suggestions at all I'd be super thankful!

I'm Back! - Weekly Overview; 25th August!

Good Evening my Lovelies! I am back from a weeks break of blogging (which I well and truly needed!). I'm amazingly watching the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashains' on E!... I don't really enjoy reality TV, but this is slightly comical and relaxing! I know my post is a little late tonight (sorry!) I've had a hectic, busy day!

while in London!!

Today I spent doing lots of bits and bobs around the house and out, I've also completed the adoption forms, yes adoption forms (not what you are thinking... Reel that thought in!!!) because, I am hopefully adopting another Labrador to be a brother/sister to my lovely yellow Lab Freddie! 

Monday I am attending a private wedding fair, which was meant to happen on Saturday but was postponed to Monday instead. And again, reel the thought that you currently have in, I am most certainly not getting married (I haven't found a man even the slightest bit interested in little old me yet!). But I am, however, modelling wedding dresses! I am so super excited at doing this, its like a dream to wear a wedding dress but not actually get married! (At least if I never get married I would've tried on a wedding dress!) 

Tuesday I am not doing much at all (thankfully) I need a little rest, plus I need to sort out my best friends birthday present (hopefully all the bits arrive in time!!) its just a day of relaxing doing paperwork (my OOTW!) and sorting out all my dresses in my wardrobe!! 

Wednesday My dad is still off from work as he took an extra 2 days off after the bank holiday, so it may be a day of going out on a family trip (I really enjoy car trips, driving around Sussex and Kent, just because its so super fun and beautiful out in the Country where I live!) 

Thursday My best friend and me are going to the Cinema for a little birthday treat and we also have to organise a night out for a meal at some point, but first we need to decide what film to go and see!

Friday I have all sorts planned, I have lots of things to organise for going back to college, research work, and also tonnes of modelling things to sort out!! (I have also uploaded some pictures to the Photo Shop, so for those interested in modelling photos, drop me an email and I can get them printed and signed!) 

Saturday I like being spontaneous so I haven't got anything planned what-so-ever! Just have to wait and see what comes!

UPDATES This week I met Daniel Radcliffe while in London, and I also was a runner up in the Beauxoxo Giveaway! I will be getting a goody bag from Beauxoxo, which I will post up on here for my Wednesday or Friday post! So also look out for that!!

OOTW: Pretty in Pink!

Who enjoyed the fantastic bank holiday weather we had? I most certainly did! Just to clear things up, I actually took these photos yesterday before going to perform yesterday afternoon, and I am absolutely in love with my new outfit and dress!

I hope you like this look! I adore dresses with the full circle skirts, you can wear these with or without a petticoat! I love this dress while wearing the petticoat as it just gives that extra 'wow' to the outfit! I also added the Glitter bow for a bit of sparkle to this outfit! For my make-up, I just have a simple thin winged eye liner and I used my pink Barry M Lipstick! I bought the Lindy Bop 'Hetty' rockabilly dress from the LB's Amazon store, and I must say this is made of the most perfect material if its a hot day, I find the dress is quite light and not too heavy, and the polka dots are just so super adorable!

The Fringe...

Just before the locks were copped!

Good Evening from a blizzard like UK! The snow has just not stopped coming down! Meanwhile I bare some good beauty news! I finally got the courage to get my hair re-styled into a sophisticated... Yes, you have read right, sophisticated bob! The image on the left was taken just before I had my haircut by my fantastic hairdresser Laura, in the image I am wearing a beautiful Oversized Pink Gingham Rockabilly Bow from Beauxoxo which I absolutely adore!! 

All Change!

The image on the right shows my hair after it has just been beautifully styled! I decided I would go for some 'bangs' - yes this is actually the technical term! I absolutely love my new hairstyle and I hope you do too! I didn't actually have any length taken off my hair, just the split ends out, and my layers re-done, as well as my fringe being cut in!

Hair Accessories

On Christmas Eve, I was just browsing on a website called Etsy, when I came across a site called Beauxoxo. All the products on the website are handmade by Georgie, who makes these fantastic hair accessories and runs the website. After looking through the website I just had to buy some of her delightful and beautiful accessories! All the products are made to such an outstanding standard! About a week after I ordered my products they arrived within a week! (Bare in mind that this was over the Christmas and New Year period!) As you can see the the Left, the products were wrapped in  a beautiful glittery pink tissue paper, alongside with some love hearts, and an extra little butterfly 

which can also be used as a clip (which is the image on the right!).

When I received my products I absolutely adored them and they take pride of place in my make-up and accessories basket in my room! The colours are vibrant and very beautiful and just give your hair that little sparkle to glow with the rest of your make-up!

The first product I opened is the "Knitted Bow Headband, Oversized Cute Kawaii Lolita Ear Warmer" in Glitter Baby Pink. This product is so comfy and easy to wear! I have worn mine a lot lately as its been very cold! You could wear this with a knitted jumper or cardigan or when you are lounging in the house. The actual headband is knitted in a pearl stitch, and is used with a baby pink wool which has glitter woven in the wool to give that extra little sparkle and glamour to your hair! I love wearing this with a oversized boyfriend cardigan, black leggings, grey ugg boots and a short sleeved cartoon top! Some products which use wool can be very uncomfortable and itchy if you wear them, this product however, is the complete opposite, its a soft wool which causes no irritation on your skin! I would definitely give this product a 10/10. I bought this from the Beauxoxo website for about £12.00 but the product is of a high quality and finish and definitely worth them extra penny's!

The next product I bought was a "Cute Lolita Kawaii Gingham Fabric Retro 
Pin Up Rockabilly Bow Headband" which I bought in Pink. This product is also made to a very high standard. In a picture the bow doesn't look as big as you'd expect is however, in the image on the right which is taken of myself wearing the bow, you can see the actual size of what the bow looks like when its being worn. When I wear this bow I usually wear it with one of my long 1950's style wiggle dress or swing dress, which are generally knee length. I usually have my hair up in either a pony tail or bun when wearing this bow, because I usually find that the elasticated back of the headband will ride up and cause the bottom of your hair to bunch, mainly if you have short hair.This headband again is very easy and comfortable to wear, but due to the back of the product riding up when I wear my hair down I would give this product a 9.5/10! I bought this pink gingham headband for £12.00, a very reasonable price for a robust and good quality product!

The final product I bought was 2 "Glitter Hair Bows" in Baby Pink (top bow) and in Lavender (bottom bow). This clips are very robust and have a crocodile clip on the back of them so they grip into your hair very easily! When you are wearing them, they don't feel heavy or tug on your hair. I generally find with a lot of products which has or contains glitter on them that they seem to shed a lot of glitter when they are handled, but with this product I don't have that problem. I adore this bows as they go with quite a few of my outfits which I enjoy to wear, and sometimes give that added sparkle which is required just to give that perfect edge on an outfit! I bought both of these bows for £5.00 each, and would definitely give these 2 bows a 10/10! Easy to wear, easy to put on, and very easy to put with a casual or smart outfit!
